I plan our family dinner menu for the week, so I'm not tempted to eat at a restaurant. I log my food for the day in the morning before I leave for work. It helps me stick with my plan and say no to extra snacks or temptations.

I finished my first half back in March. I'm going to do my next half in December. Not many fun runs here in Texas during the summer. It's broiling hot and humid!

My doctor told me I could go as low as 700 Calories/day.

I brew my green tea in an old coffee pot. I stick it in the fridge and then take my pitcher to work. I can fill my reusable bottle all day long.

What a great idea! I teach 4th grade reading in a very small rural school in Texas. I've survived 7 years of teaching, and this will be my eighth Our school nurse challenged the school in a biggest loser contest. It's been fun seeing all my coworkers lose weight. It's also nice to be in a supportive environment.

My husband and I homebrew, so we obviously like good beer. However, I'm having Budweiser's Select 55 instead on occasion. I'd rather have a pint of malty dark beer but I've gotta make some sacrifices. I used to drink 1-2 beers a night, now I only have maybe one a week.

I'm the same way. It helps to take measurements. If I feel discouraged, I can look at my records and see that I've lost 4 inches around my waist in the last 6 weeks. It also doesn't help my self-esteem that my husband is losing weight twice as fast...( I know, I know, male metabolisms...)
