14% HANDS DOWN! Drooooool....maybe even add a bit more fat to him and I'd still love it so like 16%? Lol

@Vegan Panda- We are really on a similar journey- I also started Jan. 3rd (when I found MFP, although I backlogged to the Jan. 1st, 2012 and recorded my weight from Dec. 12th because that was the last time I was weighed before my first 5 week check in on here) Started at around 177 (again, Dec. 12th weight, I could have…

Ok so not to hijack the post but I figured this would be a good place for some feedback... I have a large tattoo on the back of my lower arm. I've been toying with the idea of getting a full lower arm sleeve, just elbow to wrist, all in b&w. BUT I also like the subtlety of how it is now and that it's kind of a surprise…

The fruits being bad because of sugar one and also that vegetarians/vegans struggle to get enough protein in their diet- SO not the case! Those ones annoy me the most...

I've found that while delicious, sweet breakfasts (cereal, almond butter/pb&j sandwich, breakfast bar etc.) don't hold me nearly as long as I need most days. I think part of this has to do with the fact that sugar gives me cravings and the munchies :P My favorite breakfast is a customized bowl of 1/4 cup Quaker 1-minute…

Ughhh same problem here :( That's the only place I haven't seen any progress. Just started doing a few exercises with some 3 lb weights about a week or two ago though so I'll keep you guys posted on if I start to see results...

I was thinking about this on my way home today...what is it that they think is going to come of it? I always feel a mixture of flattered and uncomfortable. I usually try not to look at them.

Seconded! Only weigh yourself every 5 weeks- then you won't get hung up on small fluctuations. It takes time and dedication.

Ok so give all the above posts, I have another question. Is kickboxing a good strength-training-meets-cardio workout or would it be considered strictly cardio? I have some small weights at home but am curious about fun things I could do besides going to a gym and simply lifting weights in order to get that strength…

Damn so what CAN you eat?

Congrats!! I see major progress :)

You look fab!! Keep up the good work, cause it REALLY shows :) :)

You're body type is: Gynaeoid: 74% - to sum it up, nice butt/childbearing hips; thin waist; fine forearms, wrists, shins and ankles that remain like that through weight gain- check! Thyroid: 26% - long limbs; tall; fine, knobby fingers/limbs; ***fat first deposited around the abdomen and upper thighs*** CHECK! I've always…

^YUUUUP Guacamole & Sour Cream never ruined nachos, they MADE them :D :D :D

Based on what some earlier posters wrote, I would agree that it could be muscle weight replacing what used to be 'fat' weight. My best indicator is my clothing- does everything from your lowest weight still fit? Numbers can be deceptive. Don't give up! Try, try again, and when that doesn't work, try something else :)

Congrats!! I saw my mom at about 20lbs lost, and she did notice but I'm really looking forward to going home and seeing my sister, dad and other friends next month when I'll be further along in my process. Keep up the good work!
-
Holy crap you look amazing!!! Congrats :D You really have inspired me :) :) :)
-
Great idea to show your progress in the same outfit! I'm finding that my clothes are my biggest indicator of weight loss :)

LOL!

Congrats!!! Your transformation is amazing!!

I think it varies person to person- some people carry their weight in their face (who knew, but I guess I'm one of those!) I acknowledge that these look more extreme due to the different camera angles used, but I still am definitely noticing my weight loss in my chin and cheeks in particular! OH and might I also add WOW to…

36", 24", 26"- Marilyn, baby! :P I'm kidding....sort of. I'm currently at around 36", 30", 37" so to get to Ms. Marilyn's status, I'll just need to whittle my waist (which is odd because I feel like I have a small one already- it's my belly that needs to shrink). Seriously dilemma here guys, let me know your thoughts: I…

I'm having a similar problem. My wardrobe has fit me for a long time and I've gotten rid of my newer (fat) clothes and kept my old, longstanding favorites. But now even my old and new favorite pairs of jeans are getting baggy, especially in the booty (an area that I'm proud of, I don't want to see it go!). It's nice to…

Wow you can definitely see the progress- you're looking great! I wish I had the determination to stick with something like P90X...good for you! :)

SW: 176 CW: 155 GW: 145 ...but I will admit that my secret goal weight is 125. I just want to see what I look like at that weight. I was around 145 in high school so I know what I look like there- not too skinny at all. So I think going for less than that isn't a bad thing. I'm not going to be extreme about loosing beyond…

It's amazing what avoiding processed sugars for a time can do. I'm finding the same thing as you, that I don't even want the stuff I used to because it tastes too sweet. Fruit, on the other hand, tastes better and better. Well, that and dark chocolate ;)

Realizing this morning that all my pencil skirts were too big to wear anymore :)
