  • Way to go. SO inspiring! Loved your blog too!
  • thank you!
  • Great work! My 7th is 13 months. I lost 40 pounds after #6 with mfp, but gained it all back with #7 and a year of sleepless nights. This is the inspiration I needed!
  • looks really yummy! thanks!
  • Way to go! And a profound thanks for your service.
  • I think so too. My friend calls it " one of God's gift's to mothers". I believe that's true. I'm a much more patient mom if I've run that morning.
  • awesome, awesome, AWESOME!!!
  • It's still weird to think of myself as a runner--but I guess I am now. I started running in March and run usually 4 or 5 times a week now. I started with a 12 minute mile, but lately I'm running a 9:30/mile. My runs range from 2-6 miles. Strangely I find my pace is faster on my longer runs. I think the first 3/4 mile is…
  • Way to go--on all of it--The weight loss, the race, the results--awesome job! (And thanks for the tips--I'm doing my first race--also a mud run in a week and a half and wouldn't have thought about duct tape and high socks. Where'd you get the cute socks?)
  • Check Jen's posted titled: Hungry? Plateau? Just not losing? Here is help!!
  • I started running about 3 months ago. Couldn't run longer than 2 minutes when I started. Now I run usually 4 or 5 days a week. Two of those days are HIIT intervals for 2 miles--the other regular runs are usually 2.5-6 miles depending on how much time I have. I have my first race-- a 3.5 mile mud run in under two weeks that…
  • I'm a SAHM. I've got 6 kids--10, 8, 6, 4, 2, and 1. Three are in school, three are at home. I usually work out each morning after the oldest 3 get off to school. I put the baby down for a nap, find a 45 minute video for the 2 and 4 year old and do as much as I can during that time. (I mix up running on the treadmill/HIIT…
  • Great info. I've found it to be true too. Scale hadn't moved for 2 weeks with regular running, added intervals and next time I weighed I was finally down. I'll still run longer runs because I really enjoy them---but I'll keep this in routine because I like seeing the scale go down too!
  • I started in March. How long I run usually depends on my kids. (I have 6 and have to work running in around naps and carpool and their sports schedule.) Most days I just get 20 minutes to run (so 2 miles.) Once a week I do 5 or 6 miles and usually one other 3 or 4 mile run.
  • Good for you for coming back! You can totally do this!!!!!!
  • I often have 2 eggs fried in coconut oil and a piece of whole wheat toast topped with either avocado or peanut butter and maybe some fruit.
  • I started running last month and now run usually 5 days a week (between 2 and 6 miles on those days depending on the time I have.) I was scared to go from treadmill to outdoors too. What helped me was my first time out to map an out and back 1 mile run. I knew I wanted to run a 12 minute mile so when I got to the halfway…
  • I listen to the Divine Mercy and the Rosary while I run. This is a great post with links to various apps. I have my itouch set to ring at 10, 12, and 3 with these various prayers. http://www.elizabethfoss.com/reallearning/2012/04/how-to-give-up-coffee-and-add-more-hours-to-your-day.html
  • Thanks again. I have to look more at this, but just looking through my diary if I look at my "food calories" I seem to be consuming around 1500-1600 calories generally. But that includes -300 calories for nursing, so if I add that back in I'm consuming about 1800-1900 calories a day already--am I reading that right? Which…
  • Thanks Jen. I copied those numbers from the fat2fit site after doing the calculations. So that would mean upping to 2170. I think to do that eating well I really need to preplan my days to figure out what to eat. I kind of wing it throughout the day and as it is I often end up with lots of calories at the end of the day.…
  • awesome! What an incredible difference in your back!
  • Stuff like this makes my head spin. I'm currently set at 1280 calories and I usually eat back most if not all of my exercise calories (and 300 calories for nursing.) I'm losing inches (I've lost 10 inches around my waist--or at least what I though was my waist--just below my belly button--but saw on the military fat…
  • Great job Tracey~!!
  • I've got 6--3 in school and 3 at home and I typically run on the treadmill while the baby is taking a morning nap and the 2 and 4 year olds watch a video. If it's nice out I strap the baby on me and push the other 2 in a double jogger for a power walk (we have some serious hills here too so it's quite the workout!) In the…
  • sounds yummy!
  • If you go to the picture in photobucket and hit "edit" there's a tab that says "resize". If you put the width to around 450 and then save it with "replace original" it will readjust it to fit on the screen. (I want everyone to see that major transformation without having to copy and paste the link!) Also--I LOVE your…
  • Wow!!! You look awesome!!!! Your baby is a doll too!! How old? Keep up the awesome work!! i want to see more before and afters!!!
  • Jen that's amazing that you've lost all that on just changing your food! Picasa is a program you download on your computer. It organizes photos and does some basic editing, but I installed it to make digital scrapbooking go more quickly. I have full version of Photoshop, but I'm was so (and still am) behind on scrapbooking…
  • I made a "collage" in Picasa. (it's free and pretty cool if you don't already have it.) Jen have you been working out at all--or just watching calories? I notice there's never any exercise calories in your diary but didn't know if you just don't log them because you don't eat them back. I think I'm down 3 or 4 from that…
  • Huge difference! Way to go!!! You have got to feel so good about all you've accomplished! I posted this before, but here it is again:
