  • Ran 5 miles last night. 9.3 complete with 10 days to go.
  • A sample workout came with this month's Tony Horton One on One DVD.
  • I ran out of time at the gym, and only got 3 miles in. 4.3 miles complete with 11 days to go.
  • Haha, the day after I posted I'd do this, I layed on the couch all day ill. Well, I did run on Monday morning, but only 1.3 miles (it was a brick workout, in which I biked 15 miles, then immediately ran). It was soo hot by the time I got to the run, I couldn't do much more than that. I will be running today (again a brick,…
  • I'm gonna start tomorrow morning. I will run 26.2 miles over the next two weeks. I'll check in with my mileage after every run (which will be able every other day).
  • I have yet to find one I like the taste of (powder wise). Costco has a protein drink that I love. Premier Nutrition. If you don't have a Costco membership, you can order directly from their website. It tastes like Yoohoo.
  • I get this constantly. I've lost 35lbs. I get it from friends and family. I continue to tell them, "I'm not skinny, I'm fit!" I believe it's an insecurity on their part (because they've been unsuccessful i maintaining a healthy lifestyle), as well as societies distorted view of the world now (because it seems everyone is…
  • That ticks me off then. I upgraded to the F11, because their website wasn't clear on anything below the F11 on being waterproof. I do like the replaceable band option on the F11 (because I had to replace it after a year of use).
  • I don't believe the F6 is water proof. You should check out the Garmin FR60. You can swim with it. You can also get it with the foot pod for your running. It has the ant+ to wireless sync with the Garmin Training Center too. Polar isn't fun trying to sync with your PC (I have the Polar F11, and a Garming Forerunner 305).…
  • I do the choc milk too (low fat and organic). Horizon makes these little single use containers. I just buy 10 a week (usually only $1 each) and I'm good to go.
  • You'll bounce back. It's not like you can only do one round. Take it easy and build yourself back to health, then BRING IT!
  • I too was interested in P90X last year, but knew I had too much extra weight to do it. So I started with Power 90. I lost 27lbs in 90 days on that, then started P90X and lost 10 more in the next 60. I did 3 rounds of P90X, then did Insanity. I'm now in the best shape of my life. You can see my comparision photos at…

  • I didn't do the C25K program, but a beginner plan from Runner's World that was to just get you to run for 30 min straight (no time requirement). I started the program June 7, and by the end, I loved it. I ran my first 5K at the end of Sept, and my first half Marathon at the end of Oct (by using a half marathon training…
  • I was part of one of the Power 90 groups, no one posts any longer because they've graduated to other products (P90X, Insanity, etc). I lost 28lbs on it my first 90 days, then moved to P90X. You'll love it.
  • I'm not a personal trainer, but am planning to start studying to become one through ACE (American Council on Exercise). There are several others out there though. Some are accredited and others are not. If you have someplace that you're interested in working, you should call them and ask what their preference is when…
  • Congrats! You deserve it.
  • I love breakfast! 2 fried eggs, 2 slices Canadian bacon, 1 slice no fat american cheese, on whole wheat english muffin. 330 calories, 29 carbs, 11 fat, 27 protein.
  • I would say something. Rules are rules! Suck it up. What if that timeframe comes around, and they still aren't winning, add another 2 weeks? Geesh.
  • Depends on the class. I had a great class on friday, 771 cal burn. I'm male, 35, weigh 178 and in great shape.
  • I'm doing my first race on May 22, 2010. I'm doing the Terre Haute Triathlon. It is a sprint distance, and I'm really looking forward to it.
  • Amy, it isn't bad to want to do more sometimes. Heck, you probably can. The only thing with new runners is that your body (bones) aren't used to that type of impact. What you're currently do is good. Andding an extra 5 min or so, is not gonna hurt you. Just slowly grow your base (mileage/speed/time) every week. Also, to…
  • It's mainly due to the craftsmanship and the components used to make them. They are just like anything else. You have the Kias, and you have the BMWs. While the Kia will get you from the same A to B that the BMW does, the BMW will be smoother, more confortable, and last a LOT longer. Same goes for the Huffy to Cannondale.
  • Test ride every bike. That's the only way you'll find what's best for you. There are many brands that are of good quality, but each bike isn't for everyone. Also, you'll need to decide what kind of bike. Road, Mountain, Commuters - it all depends on how you plan on riding. Go to a specialty store and tell them your needs.…
  • I have had great success so far. I will be on day 60 on Wed. There are several threads on here about it. Please take a look at them and see what you think. It's not a weight loss program, but a fitness program, so if you're not in ok shape now, it's probably better to start with Power 90.

  • I finally got myself a bike. This should get me through until I can afford the Defy 1 that I want.
  • Awesome job! Sounds like a plan that came together nicely
  • This tour is really starting off nicely. Astana really did great in the TTT, and lucky not to have any mishaps like the others.
  • You can do Tri's all over, though I would like to do ANYTHING in Hawaii  If you go to www.trifind.com - you can look up any state and find events.
  • Thanks Jess, I will probably take you up on that!
  • Hi all, I'm a new runner. I'm on my fourth week of Runner's World beginner run program. It is a basic program to get me running for 30 minutes straight without stopping. No speed/distance requirement. My goal is to start doing 5Ks, and then a mini next year. This will help me get in shape, because I want to start doing…
