Yes, Shin splints (aka Tibial Stress Syndrome) "can" appear on either side of the lower leg. thank you all soooo much for all your wonderful advice!!!! I will try tiger balm, I have a foam roller I can use, I will do the ankle/calf stretches & also look into a form running class.
