  • so I see soy beans are toxic as well.
  • Anyone know whether black eyed peas are toxic?
  • wow I am so glad that I didn't sprout the kidney beans yet, I just soaked them. What about black eyed peas? Anyone know? Or white beans?. I sprouted lentils too.
  • I love sprouting. Thanks for the heads up on the kidney beans, I haven't read that. I will try to find some info. They are soaking now so I am so glad I said something. I can put them in soup or something if they are dangerous. I don't like black eyed peas cooked but sprouted they are amazing.

  • why would you think you couldn't cook clean meals for your kids? Clean food just takes all the processed stuff away. Everyone can benefit from this, especially children. It is a very natural step to take when you stall out and who knows where eating clean will take you. I absolutely love this lifestyle and so do my 3 kids.…
  • anyone?
  • I always add fruits to every veggie juice to make it more palatable. Lemons and limes are sublime. Experimenting is the best. I always add veggies to my fruit juices too to calm down the sugar. Carrots and cucumbers are great in my morning juice. My day doesn't feel complete without fruit juice in the morning. I absolutely…
  • try sprouting them, it makes it much easier to digest and unlocks all the vitamins they posess. Soak them for 6-8 hours, rinse them out, let them sit in a strainer and rinse them in the morning and evening every day till they start sprouting. They are perfect for soups and salads and can be eaten raw. yumm. You can google…
  • It is not teaching you how to eat properly in my opinion. My whole life has been one diet like this after another thanks to my mom. Best to eat clean and learn proper nutrition with real food. Your body will thank you. Plus boxed and processed food is nasty. lol
  • Any route you go is not easy no matter what anyone says. The surgery was fantastic for me but then I had 3 babies and started gaining, not all, but some of the weight back. I am now close to the ultimate goal which feels fantastic but it has been a lot of hard work. I realize now that taking care of my body is a lifelong…
  • I eat a ton of eggs every day. Whole eggs and my health has never been better.
  • I found it for free here http://www.filmsforaction.org/watch/fat_head/
  • It shouldn't hurt you at all. I like the pancakes too. I tweak it though. I use banana, eggs, peanut butter, baking powder, vanilla, apple sauce, cinnamon. yumm. Probably ok still for a diabetic. :)
  • Now this is really sensible and thoughtful!! Good for you on figuring out what works for you by your own trial and error.
  • Nope don't buy it. Who is we anyway?? Are you now speaking for all cavemen?? Following a diet hook line and sinker is not experimenting and making it your own. It is FOLLOWING another person's plan on what worked for them. Thousands of hours of research ha, I seriously doubt that. That is a bit of an exaggeration which…
  • so male gynocologists that have never had babies themselves could not possibly know how to birth a baby. Psychologists that deal with marriage counceling could not help others without having marital problems or without being married themselves. People who aren't parents could not possibly understand how to take care of…
  • There are so many flaws and holes in the concepts behind this diet. Like I said, most diets, if not all, can claim to reverse diabetes because it is the weight loss that is responsible not the diet itself. I do not believe that giving up so many foods without proper trial and error and process of elimination to see if…
  • I don't eat processed food, but I don't say that I follow some stupid diet either. I have found what works for ME by experimenting not by reading a book and saying I want to eat like a caveman. lol. I am telling the OP that I would advise them away from this diet, it has nothing to do with you. You are the one making this…
  • I don't have to try any diet because I am very healthy and have found the foods that work for me on my own. I do not need a book to tell me what my system can and cannot handle. There are plenty of very healthy people that don't take half those things out of their diets in order to be healthy. This is extreme to put it…
  • haha just because they agree with you, they get respect, nice. Why would I do a diet like this when legumes do not affect me in a negative way??? In fact just the opposite and I don't need a phone app while I shop to tell me what I can and cannot eat.
  • and I have every right to express to the OP that this diet is completely stupid. They need to hear it from all sides since they asked for opinions. I say following something like this is being a sheep instead of a leader in your own health journey. But I guess not all people can be leaders.
  • Intermittent fasting. You can google it.
  • I don't eat processed foods but I eat legumes and drink milk in my tea. I am the healthiest I have ever been, exercise a lot and feel fantastic because I base my diet mostly on fruits and veggies. I don't need guidelines of a diet like this to dictate what I should or shouldn't eat. I decide that for myself because I…
  • After a quick fast comes quick weight gain. I think resetting things with eating fruits and veggies for a few days is not a bad idea though. It could possibly get you on a really good track downwards. I would suggest you also put the scale away for a while, work your butt off, and then come back to the scale. Sometimes it…
  • Why not decide for yourself on what you can tolerate?. Why call it Paleo or Primal or eating like a caveman? Seriously the terminology is so irritating to me. Everyone should listen to their own bodies plain and simple. Putting a stupid name to it just takes your power away. I decide what works for me and what food makes…
  • Thank you, the same goes for me. I do not deny that some people do better eating more frequently just like I do not like being questioned for eating one meal a day. It works for me and that is ALL that matters. It took a long time for me to figure that out. Everyone has their own journey after all. IF is a blessing for me…
  • This battle is sooo mental for me. Getting rid of bad habits and replacing them with good ones. I feel like I have finally figured it all out for myself and that feels great. Getting to know my body specifically has been a priceless discovery for me. Also what works for me may not work for someone else. There is no right…
