  • I am working on fasting for autophagy. It is the only thing that I can control since we are still locked down here in Denmark. Spring does feel good. Now we just need to speed up the vaccines so we can get back to our normal lives.
  • this app tracks everything.
  • I don't weigh myself anymore, I am trusting the process, counting my calories and avoiding the scale. That number doesn't define me!
  • I adore Keto but it is a lifestyle. Get off the scale if you really want to change your life. Count calories and do Keto and don't focus on the scale at all since it doesn't tell you what is really going on inside your body.
  • The minute I saw some of his advice and his insistence that you can't do Keto without intermittent fasting, I decided Dr. Berg was a hack. Keto can most certainly be done with or without intermittent fasting. Chiropractors aren't real doctors.
  • be vigilant with counting calories, keep count of your macros and make sure you are eating enough fat, drink water, take mct c8 oil daily with supplements and stay off the scale. If you are eating under your maintenance calories, you will lose weigh so trust the process.
  • oh and I refuse to use the scale, doing this to feel good, not be a barbie model. If you count calories, you will lose weight, it is science.
  • Honestly my hunger is gone, I only eat 2 meals a day. I was the hungriest bear in the woods before I started, and now I have to force myself to eat. It is such a nice change. All the diet myths that we thought were true are false. In fact grains and carbs are what cause inflammation and they are making us sick. There is so…
  • Hey There, my surgery was many many years ago. I was 5'3" and weight was 230lbs when I had my surgery in February of 2002. I have been up and down since but am on the down turn again hopefully for the last time. I started having kids a little before a year was up post op. The lowest point I got to was about 140lbs before…
  • Don't let the scale define you!! I stopped doing it because it doesn't really describe all the things that are going on inside your body when you take proper care of yourself. Your weight is not who you are!! I weigh once a month maximum if that. The way my clothes feel on me is my main guide.
  • I don't need a diagnosis to know I have a problem with it. I have been gluten free for 5 years now. I never look back. Gluten is like crack to me and it is highly addictive. I am also under the firm belief that gluten is not good for anyone. Everyone I know who has given up gluten is very happy with their choice. Gluten…
  • At some point you have to just accept yourself for who you are right now. The grass is not greener anywhere else. I have the same issue and am looking to just accept myself in my skin and realize if I am strong and healthy and eating right, that is all that matters. There will never be a perfect weight.
  • haha I think you should be asking for people that tell the truth. Lol we didn't get on here by eating that little. I am glad that we are friends. You are extremely supportive :)!!
  • stick to foods that work for you and take out foods that don't. I have done this by experimenting along the way and paying attention to the way I feel both good and bad after eating. Paleo is such a stupid name. Use your own brain and take control of your own food choices. Otherwise it will always be something that you are…
  • I know lots of people drink this stuff but I see it as having no benefits whatsoever to health. At least dark chocolate has some health benefits. Plus it tastes horrible. Bubbles help expand your stomach too. You are better off with tea or water. Just my opinion. If it were me, this is one of the things I could definitely…
  • starvation mode doesn't exist in overweight people. It is a highly overused term. It only exists in underweight people that have very little body fat. Pay attention to your body. Can you keep this up forever? Is the scale really that important? Are you seeing other changes like clothes being more roomy? Those are the…
  • As long as I keep certain foods out of my diet I don't see a point of logging forever. I don't want to get too attached to logging and pay more attention to what my body is telling me. I lost most of my weight by not logging.
  • You will NEVER hear me complaining about my weight anywhere. No one cares and I don't want my kids to grow up thinking a number on the scale is actually important. Health is important, exercise and eating right is important!! What you weigh is not important. That number is so negative for too many people, especially women,…
  • I love munching on veggies, nuts, smoked fish, eggs, bananas, nectarines, melon, apple, and basically all clean healthy foods that you don't have to cook. Those are the healthiest. Whenever I fall off the wagon and eat a lot of processed foods, jumping back on the wagon always involves cutting out all the processed stuff…
  • I also think we should be drinking human milk instead of cow milk. It is way more natural that we drink our own milk opposed to milk produced from cows. I know people swear by soy milk but that is so overprocessed. I like cows milk in my tea though and lattes. Just a splash. But if breast milk were available in the stores,…
  • I am by no means an activist but without activists no one would fight for the lives of these animals and there wouldn't be as many organic products as there are now. There should be a more humane way of treating animals all over the world and burying our heads in the sand will never help accomplish this.
  • take care of your body and it will take care of you. That stuff didn't agree with me either. I think maybe you should find alternate solutions. Sorry didn't bother reading the thread. I know a lot of people will blame you. The only blame you have is that if it isn't agreeing with you, then choose some other form of…
  • You don't know my husband. There is a lot of history behind why he doesn't go to places or like places like that which I will not bother to get into. Speak for yourself please. He didn't even do it when he was single. To each his own, if you like it and are able to keep a loving and trusting relationship all the more power…
  • My hubby isn't into stuff like that. He is a consultant and had to work and help out a porn company for a while lol. He was so embarrassed and a year later all his co workers are still teasing him about it. Despite him not wanting to do it and having no interest in it, I wouldn't have married a man that did like it. We…
  • I gave up all gluten because I was addicted to it and it was too easy to overfill on empty nutritionless calories I hate soda I too like only dark chocolate I rarely do processed anything looove fruits, veggies, eggs and fish. Loooove sushi but it is too expensive to get too often, sashimi is yummy too mmmm. I stay away…
  • love facebook for networking and getting connected to all parts of my past. I am using it as a diary of sorts for my children to enjoy someday. It makes the world really small. I loooove MFP too. I bare my soul here. Facebook is more of a journeling of major events :)
  • Get moving as much as you can. Join a gym or get a walking schedule going and start tracking your calories. You CAN do this, reaching out is the first step. It will not be easy but it will be an accomplishment that you can own and be proud of if you go about this the right way. A lot of people say to keep everything in…
  • you do what you have to do. I gave up bread and gluten a few years ago and have never looked back. I don't miss it anymore. I will never go back. If you have a will of steal and are strong like me I say go for it. Don't listen to the naysayers. I am very stubborn and had no control over bread. It also made me super tired.…
  • I also have plantars fasciitis. I don't let that stop me because as long as I exercise I can't tell myself that I am lazy. It builds self confidence and strong is sexy.
