what if your job has you so stresed out that you can't sleep? I exercise and that doesn't help the sleep problem. It takes me at least an hour to fall asleep (this is at midnight) then I toss and turn all night and wake up before the alarm. I can barely keep my eyes open during the day.

We drove - about four hours to indianapolis. Weather was high 80s. One day to the Childrens Museum and a ballgame. (I don't eat ball park food.) One day at Connor Prairrie and one day at the Art Museum and exploring Carmel. I drooled while the rest of the family was pigging out and I had a sweet potato. It just isn't fair.

I'm in the same boat. I lost 26 pounds over six months. Now that I've added exercise I haven't lost any weight (even gained two pounds back) and have not lost any inches. Sometimes I feel like why bother.

I'm from Columbus. Do you get teased about Carmen Ohio?

I drink Fruition - Giant Eagle sells it. It tastes sweet but no cals.

I really didn't change anything I eat, only the portion size. When you restrict yourself from eating a certain food you'll want it even more. So go ahead and have pasta, just be sure to measure it for ONE portion. And, take your time eating and savor the flavors.

If you're craving it have a small piece. I usually keep something in my desk for a treat. It's better to satisfy the craving instead of letting it grow and then eating a carton of ice cream.

I felt the same way. We have a weight loss incentive at work and I hear comments about how good other people look and how much weight they've lost but nothing is said to me. Finally, it just decided that I'm doing it for me and not for the comments (but the $5 per pound is a nice incentive.)

i've had it for several years. Exercise does help. However, mine is mainly in my hands. It makes it hard to do anything that involves holding / gripping.

I've lost about 7 inches from my waist and about 4 from my chest but nothing on my hips. It doesn't make any sense. :noway:

I'm ashamed to say that I haven't exercised at all. However, I still have lost 25 pounds in six months.

I hate the days when I over do it at lunch/break and then see I only have a couple hundred of calories left for dinner. Just make the most of those calories. I can fix a rather large salad for under 200 calories. You could also log some exercise to get more calories.
-
You can do it. Don't let one day define you. I know it's hard. It's supposed to take 3 weeks to break/form a new habbit. I've been doing this six months and it's still hard to pass up Jamoca shakes. Just don't become discouraged.

I just heard on the radio today that these machines generally over-estimate the number of calories burned. You need to factor in height, weight, m/f, etc.

I feel the same way. I don't see a difference in myself but my clothes are baggy. Self image is one of the hardest things to accept.

I didn't even log my food yesterday. There are too many traditional foods that I look forward to that I couldn't even begin to guess the calorie count. I figure I can let myself indulge on Easter.

I know it not sexy, but shoes! None of mine fit since I've released my weight. I can put up with baggy pants but my shoes keep falling off my feet.

I was going to dig up my garden today but we had frost this morning and cold freezing rain all day here in Columbus.

I got Dance Dance Revolution for the kids and play it too. It has a workout mode that suposedly calculates how many calories you've burned during a session.
