  • I so started to cry with that. Great post.
  • Fruits and veggies would probably help you hit the mark. Putting together a salad can add up your calories. Fruit is a great snack and it has a nice calorie punch to it. Nuts also something to add to help with hitting calorie goals. Good luck.
  • I have several cookbooks on the Kindle but I don't use them- kind of afraid to bring it around water. But love the fact that I can get books from the library on it, nice suggestion. I had no idea about the unofficial hunger games cookbook. I think I'll look that up. Thanks for posting.
  • Your photos aren't showing up. Went to the links and you are doing great! You can see a big difference, keep it up!
  • Try to drink some water or find something that takes your mind off of food. You can exercise and then eat also if you really want something to eat.
  • Check out a group called Eat More to Weigh Less. They will help you past the worry of the calories becoming fat. Remember that calories are fuel for the body, you have to eat. Eating the right foods will help you out a lot. Do more research on the subject and check out some groups and success stories about people that eat…

  • I've not been fitted for running shoes but I have had my foot sized for work shoes. It's not bad, the people that fit your foot do it for a living so unless you are rude to them or they are having a horrible day it shouldn't be that nerve racking. Good shoes are very important. I loved finding good shoes from Hush Puppies…
  • Maybe try to up your calories. You've been swimming a lot and staying low on your calories. If you up what you eat it may help break the plateau. Some people say up the calories by 200 or so and see if that helps.

  • Someone posted this a while back and I saved it, I hope it helps you. Also search plateaus to find out more information. Good luck. -The Most Dreaded Word In Weight Loss: Plateau- In the world of weight loss, metabolism is king. Everybody seems to know that a fast one is a good one. Yet, some confusion arises when…

  • That's a lot of calories. One really impressive NSV. Like the picture of Richard by the way.
  • If that's your goal then go for it! You look very nice in the picture. Keep your goal in mind and do good work on your exercise and eating habits and you'll be there in no time.
  • You do have a point that if the "group" has a preference for fit/thin/ whatever then that is their right in which to set the regulations for the meeting. However in doing this you also ban those people that are trying to become fit/thin/whatever that would be able to participate in the activities that those in the group…
  • "It's the people that say things like - if you dont want to read it you dont have to, no one is forcing you to be part of it - that make people feel the way Alex did." The world is full of these people, you can't get away from them. In this case I'm one of them. I have my own issues with feeling left out but I deal with…

  • I do agree with BrettPGH, if someone feels as if they are "competing" against others here it's more of a self-conscious issue that the person needs to work through. If the person is being attacked then they can report it. There was a recent stream of "Amber Alerts" where a person was attacking a woman calling her rude…

  • Great :D I hope that you have more days like today. Way to go on cutting down your time on your run as well :flowerforyou:
  • I do agree that there are several posts that are seeking attention. For some people these threads may be the only attention that they receive through their process. Some people just need reassurance that what they are doing is what worked for others. Its not a bad thing to receive attention for success or guidance. If it…

  • Congrats on your weight loss so far. 60 pounds is fantastic. I can't see the pictures in the thread though. Keep up all your hard work and dedication.
  • It gets much better. Just take it a day at a time. You'll surprise yourself later on at how much better you've gotten when you look back.
  • I've had a little problem with holding it in since I was pregnant. I still have a problem where I can't really jump or run unless I go first but it has gotten better (it was I couldn't jump at all even when I did go before hand). I just make sure I empty out before doing my exercises and my muscles seem to be getting…
  • Congrats on the loss so far first off. Next, I'm not good at looking at diaries so I'm not going to give suggestions on that. I'm not sure what EM2WL is either. But you do have to be patient when you adjust your diet giving your body a little time to figure out what's going on. Do some research into plateaus, that might…
  • Welcome to the site :D, you will find lots of support here and some people that are in the same boat as you about the SO's eating habits. Keep positive and if you want you can add me as a friend :) Good luck on your goals.
  • Haven't found a low sodium salsa yet but Vine Ripe is on a lower end of the calorie scale. I like my broccoli raw, steamed, or peppered.
  • I log just about all my exercise, but not all of it. I figure that the stuff I don't log is going to be under my activity level when I set up my profile. I eat my exercise calories when I'm hungry and sometimes I don't. It's all a personal preference. Some people don't log anything under 30 minutes, others log everything…
  • Great NSV! Glad that you are taking the steps to make a better you (literally and figuratively). Keep up that attitude and hard work! And of course I wish you luck with your goals.
  • Fruit has a high calorie count. So if you are going over your calories with fruit by a lot then it would be possible to gain weight. However it is healthy for your and gives good nutrition to your diet. It's healthier then some other snacks, like the ones that are processed, and they don't really need anything to be added…
  • Most people are going to recommend that you eat more then just 800 calories especially when you are jogging 2 miles a day. Since you are in the weight loss journey for a while it would probably be best to start thinking of it more of a life style change instead of a diet. Could you live on 800 calories for the rest of your…
  • If you are concerned with anything that appears to be flabby then start doing strength training. Water intake, eating a healthy diet, and strength training will help even though your body will naturally adjust and tighten your skin up. Good luck :)

  • Some protein bars. Some aren't much better than candy; when the first three ingredients are different forms of sugar kind of makes me think it would just be better to have a hard boiled egg for protein.
  • Congrats :D My suggestions on how to break the news to your kids are: If you have a recording of the heart beat play it and ask them what they think it could be. Once the game is over tell them it's your new siblings heart. If you have a doll stroller or something like that bring it out and put a little note in it for them…
