I thought I was the only one--I'm pretty thin these days, but I still experience thigh-rubbing when I run! I might take some of these tips and try out the compression shorts.

You look incredible!!! Great work!!

I was a member for over a year and a half--it's a great "training wheels" gym. If you're only going for cardio equipment, it's gold! But I think in some ways I outgrew it in terms of my strength training routine--I wanted to be able to do squats in a real squat rack (they only have squat racks) and do deadlifts, and you…

You look fantastic!! Way to earn it!

You look fantastic!! Great work!!

Not a popular choice, but it's what I've always done: -2 scoops Body Fortress Chocolate Peanut Butter powder -fill the bottle up with crushed ice -pour water in to the top -shake & drink

I squat 110 on the Smith Machine (including 20lb bar). I'm looking into other gyms though b/c I feel like I'm missing out by being confined to my Smith Machine.

You just have to translate that for your own life--it could be that you do look very thin (as in the case of the tall size 6 woman) or it could just be that people are still adjusting to the new version of you. Either way, as long as you know you're taking care of yourself, then just smile and be glad to be suffering from…

Great work; you look fantastic!!!

Assuming you actually do have weight to lose (and it's not a danger to your health), that sort of hesitation from a SO is usually based in insecurity. His fear of you changing, his fear of your relationship changing b/c you eat differently and exercise more, or just his own insecurity about his own body. Just do your…

Why are you cutting carbs? You need some carbs to fuel your workouts--and nuts are calorie-dense, which can be good, but only if you are measuring them out.
-
So long as you've got your calories under control, I'm not sure if it matters how much you work out--I'm certain that if I ever have kids I'll lose all my free time and have to focus on maintaining without my current exercise routine. I workout 5 days/week just b/c I enjoy the stress-release, but I'm a 25 y/o with a…

I'm doing that either this weekend or next! Even paying extra for an extra topping. ;)

you are my hero. you look AMAZING!!

You're amazing!! Way to go!!

Ditto what A_Vett said--also I found reading New Rules of Lifting For Women by Lou Schuler to be pretty informative.

use the search function in the forums; this will show you lots and lots of answers to this question. Perhaps the most concise answer: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/6556-the-answers-to-the-questions

It's definitely easier to eat the same cals every day instead of jumping up and down based exercise--and eating more is MUCH wiser than starving yourself. I gained a few pounds at first, then I dropped them, and now I'm losing inches but not pounds. Just keep in mind it's a fat loss program, not just a weight loss program,…

This weekend I plan on going over...you'll get back on it. Enjoy yourself, but use that extra energy to throw yourself into your workout! And beside, you're probably on a 250-500 cal/day deficit anyway; you're not going to gain any "real" weight by going over one day. :) you've got this!

Yeah i'm not very experienced with uploading pics, but they should be visible on my profile. Bench: 50lb Squat: 100lb Row: 70lb

I'm super-awkward-looking when I do exercise DVDs, so my husband will come out to make fun of me...but then I challenge him to a race, and he knows he's beat. :) Healthy competition.

ummm...you are losing weight while mothering two children. You win.

What Jayche said. Muscle burns more calories/minute than fat does, so exercise to burn fat and increase lean body mass.

How incredible!! Good job on all your hard work!!

^^ Great answer. I'm 5'4", 25 y/o, and I can only bench 45lbs. Seriously. I try and I try to increase that damn number, but it's taking its sweet time. I can squat 90, lunge w/ 70, and do pull-ups with 55lbs assistance (I'm 130lb), and none of those numbers sound particularly impressive, but for me, it's heavy lifting. As…

Female Age: 25 Height: 5'4" SW: 170lb CW: 130 Time: 8 months Calories: Jumped around--started out around 1500 (1/2lb a week), dropped down to 1200, then found IPOARM and climbed up to 1700. Now at 1800 and losing inches, but not pounds. Did your allotted calories change with loss? Did/do you eat back your burned/worked off…

I sleep in my workout shorts, put my gym bag out in the car (so I can't brush my teeth unless I get to the gym), and simply don't let it be a question--when the alarm goes off, I'm tying my sneakers. I say all that, but take it with a grain of salt...I have NO IDEA how you mothers do it!! I'm 25, no kids, and I'm…

Yep. At the gym at 5:20am on strength training days; 5:40 on cardio days. In the shower by 6:45. I don't know how evening people do it!!

Yeah that sounds like a crappy gym. Or switch the time you go maybe? My gym is clean and generally never past 50% capacity. I usually go at 5-6am, so I've only seen the 6:00pm (after-work) crowd a couple times, but I've still never had to wait for a machine. Gross.
