  • As others have said, THE GAP wins, hands down! No matter how fat I am, I am always tiny according to their sizing. It's ridiculous!
  • My doctor said carrots are basically sugar sticks, so I only eat those occasionally. The fruits you mentioned are excellent. The main problem I've seen with sugar is that it is usually in things that aren't doing my body any favors anyway, such as sweets and white pastas, etc. 25 grams of sugar daily is an reasonable goal.
  • kids are notorious for this too...maybe you can get some good recipes from some of the family sites out there! also, yellow squash can be added to (hidden in) just about everything...i put a ton in a chicken pasta, and nobody even knew!
  • my endocrinologist said that sugar alcohols are what tastes sweet to the tastebuds, not related to alcohol, not a concern for people who are pre-diabetic like me, ok in small doses.
  • hi! i am on the exact same dose as you...started in june, and it's been amazing. when my weight loss slowed down, and the exhaustion returned, i cut out sugar (again), and i began losing weight and feeling better immediately. i have about 25 grams or less of sugar a day. i would look into other reasons for the nausea,…

  • Hey Nance, You are so smart to do a count down to your quit day! • Very much enjoyed this thread, especially watching the kool aid remark get twisted, etc...Finally must chime in, having lived in New Orleans through Katrina. " They" weren't raping women, etc etc etc. You weren't there, yet you remember some pretty ridiculously inaccurate and scary media freak out stories. Case closed.
