Here's some great easy-to-follow videos from beginner to more advanced level, from a guy who clearly knows what he's talking about judging by his visible results over past couple years http://www.youtube.com/user/TheF0rtress?feature=watch

Watch Paul's videos - he's totally transformed himself using nothing but bodyweight excercises and a good diet - IE no gym equipment, no supplements etc. Here's one for beginners push-ups, with how to progress through various stages until you can manage proper ones, and even 1-arm ones!…

How's everyone getting on shedding those Xmas extra pounds? I'm at 3lbs LESS than my pre-christmas weigh-in, and back to a near-ideal maintenance weight. Still got a couple of pounds of wobbly stuff on my belly - that's this year's problem to fix... find that six-pack! - need to get into some excerise and get toned up, as…

Well, I didn't expect this much response to the thread when I started it! Great to see that everyone is really motivated to get those extra pounds back off again, and many people already well on their way to doing it, if not already done. I'm already done - am now 2lbs less than me pre-christmas weigh-in! go me!!
-
Another 1lb gone - so thats 2lbs less than pre-Christmas now

Last year I started at 186lbs on 24th April and went down to 153lbs by 14th August, which I decided was about ideal for me. I then tried to slowly ween myself of MFP and constant tracking of everything by just being concious of what I was eating against what I was doing exercise-wise (no gym stuff, just walking, working…

No more weight loss today, but have trimmed half an inch of the waist, and feel and look a lot slimmer than I did a week ago, so it's all good!
-
Well good news - I've got rid of the Christmas excess, and now 1lb down on me pre-Christmas weigh-in! I could almost feel like celebrating with a very large cake... but that would be bad!
-
YEY! my 4lbs Christmas binge has gone again  now to see if I can ged rid of those extra few pounds that are hiding my six-pack!
-
no weight loss this morning - pretty annoying as I've been good!
-
Great! - another 2lbs down this morning, so that's 3 of my 4lbs Christmas binge back off again... also 3/4 of an inch off the waistline, so obviously was bloated a bit by all that junk food. Keep up the good work everyone!
-
I agree - it is totally unfair it takes 2 or 3 times as long to lose the weight as it takes to put on! - human bodies are just too damned effecient at storing energy!
-
Well I'm 1lb down since yesterday morning - strict day of 1200 calories and low carbs / high proteins - so heading in the right direction again!
-
The great thing reading all these posts is that no-one seems to phased by gaining a few pounds over Xmas - and everyone is determined to get back on track again now! For those of you who have continued to lose or maintain over the festive period, a big well done from me!! Keep up the good work everyone...

I'm not the only one then! Glad to hear we're all determined to get it off again though, and we all know we *can* do it - that's the main thing. Most of my gain will have been due to more carbs than usual - I'd gotten used to a lower-carb diet, but with Christmas comes cake, biscuits, chocolate, and so on. Suspect I'm…

All the same symptoms I had... - I just did the experimenting myself to see what caused it, and for me without doubt it is wheat... But according to some idiots on here, we're just trying to be "trendy" by jumping on to some "fad bandwagon" ... thing is, like I say, I absolutely LOVE bread, sadly it doesn't love me... and…

Amazing how ignorant some people can be... just because they don't personally suffer the misery that Wheat unfortunately causes some of us, it must be "a fad"... As I have and others have said, many of us absolutely love bread and other wheat-products, but unfortunately it doesn't love us. It's cheap, filling and tasty -…

think they're all too shy from all the female attention ;)

Very similar to me... my research/reading suggested it was a particular protein in wheat rather than the gluten that was the cause of the problems, and I don't seem to have the same problems with wheat-free (but not necessarily gluten-free) foods. As a kid I has asthma, and was diagnosed allergic to grass amongst other…

Like you, I absolutely love fresh-out-the-oven bread... I often used to eat half a loaf it on its own, no toppings, for a meal. I suffered from various symptoms for years: continous almost hayfever-like symptoms of blocked nose (rhinitis), horrible claggy throat, especially at night which lead to me waking up 20-30 times…

This thread needs a bump... I need some inspiration!

time for a *bump*

All very inspiring! BUMP!

193 calories for just ONE EIGTH of a 10" pizza crust WITHOUT ANY TOPPINGS? - can't see that helping anyone's diet very much even if it is low carb!!!

I ate bread for often 3 meals a day for most of my life, like a lot of people probably... About 3 years ago I was getting really fed up of having permanent symptoms similar to hayfever, particularly rhinitis (blocked nose), and also joint pains particualrly in knees and elbows. I was a couple of stone overweight, but…
