i am a stay at home mom of a 3 y/o a 1.5 y/o and recently a 3 week old. before i got prego with baby boy #3 i had listed myself as sedatary as well but while pregnant you really realize how much you really DO every day! so i have changed my activity level to very active as that was what increased my cals (i don't really…

babby carrots are easy snacks. i also like animal crackers. i have a 3 week old baby and 2 toddlers at home. i find it easy to grab a handful of animal crackers when i'm pumping or feeding the baby they are not to bad for cal's and there are a lot worse options out there in terms of snacks (i get the huge containers from…

i'm in a like situation. allthough it wasn't a move but a pregnancy that threw me off. while i ate healthy threw it i oviously gained weight and now am trying to get back into the habit of logging and losing. but it's hard it was the worst of my 3 pregnancies pretty much everything made me sick and now that i was deprived…

well i was heavy when i graduated from highschool. i was never the girl who could wear the cute cloths or anything. but then i went to college and hatted the food, loved the gym, took up running and my classes were very hands on and fast paced so instead of gaining the freshman 15 i lost 20 lbs. and i liked the new me i…

try some different breakfast combinations to see if you can find one that fills you up. as everyone has said protein is a big key for this. i get breakfast around 9 a.m. (i have kids they of course have to get served first so i eat a bit late) and the days i have just some cheerios i am starving by lunch and we usually end…

tiliapia is a very mild fish as far as fish goes. not to smelly and very yummy. i have perfect pinch lemon and herb season i pretty much "shake and bake" my fillet with and then use to lightly season the others. then i grill it on a george forman till black lines appear. i wouldn't try to get over it if you don't like it…

-Was it difficult to give up eating meat? not at all! it's harder for other people to know what to make if they invite us over for dinner. -What kind of a difference has giving up meat made in how you feel/your health? couldn't really tell you. i don't rember how i felt when i ate meat. besides i would feel sick to my…

chicken breast peppers ground turkey whole weat soft taco shells banana's granola frozen veggies with the farmers markets in now i am living on squash it seams. so a lot of produce is coming from them right now. i like a little granola in my yogurt (homemade no sugar or fat in it) for a crunch and since i cook one meal for…

sure do. you only buy peas once that have sugar as the second ingredient before you start reading ALL labels. i usally don't worry about cal counts but am more looking to see sodium and what number ingredient sugar is and my son has a issue with some dyes in food so if buying something new i have to check for them. i stay…

i eat dinner at pretty much 5 on the dot maybe 5:30 if i am running late. i have a 3 y/o and a 16 month old and they do not survive much past 5 before they think they are starving. plus if we eat much latter they would eat then have to start getting ready for bed (7 p.m.) for me if i have a snack or make the kids something…

peanutbutter! i have conquered the pb cookie cravings and i don't feel so bad if i have it with an apple or banana.
-
i do, if you are cal counting every thing adds up. veggies don't add up much but fruit can be 80-100 cals a serving.

I worked extreamly hard once i hit college to lose weight i ended up losing 65 lbs before i got married (about 3 years latter) and then the babies started. my first i gained almost all of that back. i like my kids close so i got prego again when baby 1 was only 9 months old. i had lost alot of the baby weight but not quiet…

i woulld start out replacing one meal as meatless do that a couple of weeks then try 2 meals a week for a few weeks then try 3 etc....as far as you can/want to go. i make a lot of "meat" dishes just leave the meat out.. wouldn't work with taco's but works good with bakes or even pasta dishes. i think a bake or pasta dish…

i allow myself 1 "junk" food a day. i do not bealieve that depriving yourself is the answer. it can be a cookie or a icecream but i have it almost every day. when i want crunchy i go for an apple or yogurt with granola in it.

you could try making more from scratch. i make my own yogurt takes only milk and a starter but you can maintain a mother culture so that is only needed the first time. my hubby and kids love pizza so we buy crust (0.57 for a package) and then top it ourselves. you could top half with burger or peperonie for your hubby and…

you could try breakfast cookies. just do a goggle search and you will get a bunch of recipes. i have 3 diff. recipes i use for my toddler (and they are all pretty good) they range from 1/4 cup sugar to no sugar. the last ones i made have no sugar and are basically oatmeal bound together with bananas and applesauce with…

i would see about getting new shoes or see if you need a shoe insert. shin splints are not something you typically get from walking. if you are walking on say a sidewalk see if you can find a park or place with an inside rubber track and try a soft surface (grass etc) also tread lightly....

i don't use cheese in the crust. and use cheddar cheese on the pizza.

well i think te liquid cals that are bad for you are the ones that have no nutritional benefit. such as soda.
-
i complete my food diary. or brush my teeth. i also have started drinking a lot of tea at night so i don't snack.

my mom used to make it all the time when she was going to WW. always yummy.

i have found that the best thing for me is to make dinner for the family. i have a hubby and a toddler and an infant. i do not make myself a special meal. and we all eat that. i just figure out the cals before hand and measure my food. i have been looking for recipes to try new things. the cauliflower pizza crust is…

i think you need to see your doc. your supposed to increase your calorie intake 300 more per day while prego but i'm not sure if that goes up if you are on a very limited calorie intake to start with i.e. for weight loss. you can still exercise but again the doc will advise you on what kind and how much.

also: we have always walked everyday that we can we do a family walk so that was not because of me being healthier. but i have noticed my husband being more aware of what and how much he is eating. and the first week or so he was a little resistant. and brought home treats and stuff but i guess now that he has saw that we…

you need 1200 cals a day min to function any less could do you harm. i do not like to use up my cals from working out either but i do use at least half of them. i figure my measuring is not exact so the other half is used by defalt. i only burn 300 cals from cardio the days i go to the gym. other wise i burn 100-200 taking…

i don't bealive there is anything to worry about. both my boys turned oragne when they were about 6 months old and their ped's never said anything about cutting back on the orange veggies they ate.

i love to toast the bread and put tuna with onions and pickles on it or fresh lettauce from the garden and canned chicken on it.
-
i would add some rice and frozen veggies. that's what i lived on in college with chicken maybe once a week. a bag of white rice is not to expensive and you could get a bag of brown and mix it half and half or something. also most stores have store brand frozen veggies for a dollar a bag. maybe cut out some sugar and use…

i think when you pick your activity level it counts in those cals you burn on the computer or job or whatever. that is a little obsessive to log even the ones you burn on the computer. i took the kids for a walk and it took us a half hour to go a half mile round trip i dd not log that. and then when my hubby wanted to take…
