  • I lost 30 lbs in 2012 and almost gained it all back by then end of 2014. So here I am again. 7 days in and amazed that it works to log in your food. Duh. I am 45 and mom to three boys aged 13,12 and 10. Loved being fit but it also took a toll...I developed chronic low back pain and hours of driving the kids around made…
  • I am trying to steer away from bread. I do rice cakes with almond butter. Good stuff. less sugar then pb and j
  • this looks awesome
  • A good heart rate monitor. I use Polar..the most basic $75 version -- gets your heart rate and calories burned....works like a charm and makes a big difference when trying to udnerstand how many more calories you need when you work out. T
  • Great progress!! Keep logging everything in. It works!! Good Luck!
  • It's a great problem to have isn't it. Just get rid of the big clothes....I am going to have to visit consignment except I have sisters who love my cast-offs. And I love casting off! Word to the wise....even when you hot your goal weight...don't go bezerk! I have a gorgeous white suit I bought to celebrate that is hanging…
  • It all depends on your fitness level when you start. I do not think I could have stuck with RI30 if I had not started out with 30DS. In addition, I wore a heart rate monitor and I got higher calorie burn with RI30 -- I think b/c it is slightly longer -- and harder in my opnion
  • Every single day. A few articles in the new york times last january drove this decision for me. Here is an excerpt from the article about a group of people who have lost weight and managed to successfully keep it off (a very small percentage of all people who lose weight which was the very depressing jist of the article…
  • Looks awesome!! What kind of olives - black kalamata?
  • That's money! Total progress...Way to go!!! I have gotten through the part on our feet but definitely have to stop during the floor stuff. Have been trying to decide if I should get to that point before moving on to the second month. Does anyone else hate it when sean T does the "psych out" and tells everyone how scared he…
  • Jillian Anderson DVDs - 30 day shred and ripped in 30. every day. canged my arms, my whole body in about 6 months time. still working on my thunder thighs - but my abs and arms make me pretty happy. you can't have it all i guess. and just weight loss overall in general good luck
  • Very impressive. My husband and I are on the same journey. What a great example you are setting for your son!!
  • I turn into a pumpkin close to 7.5 or 8 hours prior. I hate getting out of bed no matter what but nothing feels better later knowing you have checked that box. -- Alarm far away from the bed is another key. Also doing a DVD in your home without having to leave the house is pretty clutch...do Jillian Michaels...every day.…
  • Well done. Well told. Thanks for sharing!!
  • So when I do all this higher math (I joined MFP so I would not have to) I get that I need to be eating about 600 more calories then I get.with MFP....Seems kind of high to eat 600 more calories in a day....
  • It's a fake tan that's annoying me. I assume someone who cares so much about her body is spray tanning right?
  • Good luck!! That's a pretty tough surgery. Is it superficial (just the skin) or are the doing anything with your abdominal wall? You will be fine and so happy you did it when it is all said and done. Really! )because what I am about to write is not meant to scare you) The "good" news is that the initial recovery is one…
  • We all should know the difference between people (mommies) who are confident and looking good by taking care of themselves and those insecure types desperately seeking attention always. They are everywhere -- from the school pick up/drop offs to the gym. I guess the third category might be those who truly do not care what…
  • I am giving up all alcohol. And I love me some wine. But I think it would be a good thing to abstain from for a while, reflect on the meaning of sacrifice. I will appreciate it more when I am done. AND I will probably also have whiter teeth and weigh less.
  • Whatever you do, make sure your one the side beans are the vegetarian variety b/c the other one with chorizo is basically waaay off plan
  • I love just dance 3. Zumba is fun but I can see where it might be lacking in overall user experience...I did buy Zumba 2 but it is still in the box...it will be my prize for getting through all the Zumba 1 levels.
  • It's quite the opposite...with men, everything gets smaller and the rest stays the same but it just looks bigger in comparison. Just one more incentive ...they get it all, an easier time losing weight etc.
  • These ideas are awesome...I think I am going to try rinsing, cooling, sharper knife and eye protection..I have 3 boys so we are crazy about hiding matches so that one is not for me and I hate washing dishes more then anything so I do not want to buy a chopper...but if it comes to that...thanks again..AWESOME SUGGESTIONS
  • Awesome...I think I will try sunglsses first
  • THis is great for getting ideas to switch things up.... Almost everyday I am shredding (30 DS level 2) with my husband before the kids get up. On the weekends, I tack on another 2 minute zumba wii session. (although the kids are seriously annoyed at my honing on their wii time) At least 2xs per week on my way to or from…
  • Anything where the back tries to take over is bad. Some people can do sit ups without involving the back, others cannot. For some, it can happen with crunches...when you start to feel any ab work in your back, you should stop.
  • Very inspiring! Thanks for sharing!!
  • 42 - trying to lose that sticky 30 to get down to my 39 year old post pregnancies low....3 weeks on MFP and 9 lbs gone and a total reminder that even though I was working out regularly for years, I had completely lost touch with what I was putting in my mouth. Regularly tracking -- your food, your weight, your progress and…
