I'm sorry you're going through this. But the fact that he allows his family to determine how he's feeling about you is a big red flag. If you stay with him it's a matter of time before they meddle in your relationship again. Even if you do lose enough weight to satisfy them, be prepared to have them bully you on various…

I have a similar pattern. But with mfp, I have lost 15 lbs so far, just very slowly. I figure that's pretty good since I only gained steadily for the last 20 yrs. I do track ALL of my eating, even though it's embarrassing to see it on my diary. Just make your diary private and continue to log it. For me, logging has helped…

Saute shredded carrots in a little olive oil with a tiny sprinkle of cinnamon and a teaspoon of sugar added right at the end. It tastes like a dessert and the kids will love it. After they get used to eating the carrots, reduce the sugar each time you cook it. At this age you're just trying to get them to associate veggies…

So please give us some man gift ideas!

roast beef yorkshire pudding gravy mashed potatoes green bean casserole roast carrots apple tart Not everyone serves turkey! It's a carb heavy meal which makes it so good and so bad.

If I exercise too much it makes me HUNGRY. Maybe focus on your eating and exercise a little less? You look really thin already. Have you tried lifting weights and eating a bit more protein?

I don't eat much fruit. But I eat a lot of veg. If you make them taste good, you can eat a LOT for few calories and they fill you up. My latest all time favorite is brussel sprouts sauteed in a little olive oil. One slice of bacon chopped to give it some smoky salty flavor (only 35 calories). Then right at the end of…

If it's a friend in real life I'd try to invite them over to taste some healthy options. But if it's an online friend, I don't think there's much you can do.

For me, too many carbs during the day equals out of control snacking at night.

Start with one small goal that's pretty easy: Log every meal every day. Don't try to eat a perfect diet or workout for 2 hours. Just start logging your food. After a couple of weeks of just doing that you'll easily see your foods that are your problem areas and see how you can make small changes that you can live with.

Drink a lot of water.

I'm afraid someone I know will see me and be critical and nonsupportive. So I use an alias and don't post a picture. It has nothing to do with my commitment.

Try to keep it to yourself. Before mfp, I would lose and gain the same 5 lbs over and over. But with mfp, I lose more slowly but it seems to stay off since I've changed my approach to food. Your friends won't understand why this is different unless they actually give it a try. Try not to let it bug you. Congrats on your…

It's better to just eat 2 slices of delicious real bacon and enjoy it. It's on 70 cals for 2 slices of oscar mayer. admittedly, the slices are very thin!

Your perspective is a little off. You are a real superstar! 40 pounds is amazing! I'm struggling so hard for each half pound. It's reasonable that you feel a little burned out since you've obviously been working so hard. Maybe just ease off one day a week instead of a full break?

I used to eat pasta all the time. Not anymore unless it's carefully measured. No more ribs or burgers. A serving of ribs is 3 or 4 maybe? I used to eat a full slab on a hungry day! So sad.

I kept waking up snoring and was having reflux because my stomach was too big and I had to sleep on my back propped on pillows. It was a really bad sensation.

^^ This! I have slowly made small changes, thus my slow weight change. But I still enjoy eating my food, maybe more now than I did before! Mainly I want to be healthier and be able to stick with it. I know I can't stick with low carb or no sugar so I don't even try. I just try to eat better each day.

I've seen articles that say that when your spouse loses weight and starts working out, that's a huge sign that he/she is cheating. I don't think he sounds insecure but rather that he values the marriage and wants to verify that you're not up to anything nefarious. MonkRocker is gonna get you in trouble, though!

Great work! You really look good!

I only weigh calorie dense things and "treat" foods. Steak for instance has a lot of cals, so I want to know I'm only eating 3 oz because I know it'd be easy to eat three times that amount. But broccoli or asparagus have so few cals and are good for me so I don't mind splurging on them.

Tonite I rolled turkey, lite mayo, slice of bacon in large romaine leaves secured w toothpick. Decadent tasting from the bacon but low cal bcz no bread.

Yes, loosing is a word. However, it is not correct to say "loosing weight" but rather "losing weight."

I think being stuck in the house all day can make it much worse. On days I work outside the home, I'm busy and there are no temptations around. But my home workdays can be really difficult. Try to at least get outside into the sunlight for a nice long walk. I think that's very helpful.

My favorite snack is edamame. It has protein in it.

You can log your car time into the iPhone app or on the website and it will adjust the numbers automatically.

I tried it. At first I thought it was working, but after the first 5 lbs, I didn't lose any more. It didn't make me sick. It just didn't do anything at all. I REALLY wanted it to work. Mainly, it's very expensive. They autoship the next supply really quickly, so it isn't really a "free" trial.
