  • After whining about dumping my diet soda for ages I just sucked it up and did it. It helped. I went cold turkey. I take green tea pills and that seems to have prevented caffeine withdrawal symptoms for the most part. Yesterday I had a little regular soda and it was fine. The only reason to cut it out completely is, I…
  • Now explain it to my husband :P Typical man thinks that it should just go down. Doesn't understand womanly fluctuation.
  • ^^^^I honestly don't know if that accounts for it though. I don't use a Garmin so hard to say.
  • Only thing I can think is that for running at least that heart rate seems low. However, for the the heart rates it is recording the burns seem close to accurate. Do you wet the band before you put it on?
  • Posts like this make me feel two things . . . 1. Really? Are sure its only 1000 calories you are eating? 2. Why can't I have this problem? I wish I could spend my time figuring out what to eat extra rather than what not to eat. T But to be fair and honest I truly think that you will find that your body will rebel against…
  • LOL I feel this way about Yoplait ads in particular. They show a scrumptious piece of Cheesecake and then say hey have this cheesecake "flavored" tub of yogurt. It's just as good! WHAT?????? I don't care what you do to it! It's not Cheesecake and it can't even approach it in being delicious! And I like yogurt. They just…
  • Honestly sounds to me like he had already decided that was his excuse for not being committed and not having enough self control not to cheat. 40lbs is a lot but its not THAT much. Especially since you lost 20lbs of it at some point. If you ask me it has nothing to do with YOU and everything to do with him being an…
  • I tell myself during exercise, "You NEED to do this, you CAN do this, you WILL do this" or "You've got this!" And towards the end . . . "You're in the endgame baby" And then if it's the last 30 seconds of an all out sprint or something like that, "30 seconds? An infant could do this!" (Not rational but it seems to work)
  • I wear the compression tights that hit mid thigh, I wish they were longer. Sometimes I will wear the tights that hit below the knee. This seems to firm stuff up and keep from chafing. I used to then wear shorts over them. Now I wear pants or nothing. I find the shorts just get bunched up between my legs. I DO wear I long…
  • That's what I was wondering!
  • I wonder this too.
  • I've never been morbidly obese but I'm usually an outsider in some way. It's hard. Appearance wise though, yes all of society judges you on your appearance. Blonde or brunette. Skinny or fat. I'm a natural blonde and I look young and I'm female--all of these things make it much harder for me to gain respect professionally.…
  • If I had that equipment I'd be sitting pretty! ETA: I second the vote for "New Rules of Weight Lifting"
  • Arby's definitely the $1 Chocolate turnovers are to die for . . . on the other hand McDonald's has 3 cookies for $1 and you get variety . . . . Choices, choices . . . (I do believe not making that choice and getting it ALL got me to where I am)
  • As a poor woman who shops at thrift shops I often end up wearing T-Shirts for things that I have never heard of. I try not to make it things I wouldn't want to represent or might have people asking weird questions. I don't buy Breast Cancer Walk T-Shirts that say "Survivor" on them. that would be a little misleading.…
  • I just can't believe it . . . Really I'm trying but it defies the boundaries of my mind. And not a lot of stuff does that!
  • Bump! Curious what others have to say about this.

  • LOL I noticed people didn't seem to get the post at the beginning. I do what you do too. I didn't to begin with but honestly when I you know I lost 2lbs then gained 2lbs and then lost 2lbs again I didn't want everyone on my feed praising me for the second loss b/c well I feel like it's just where it ought to be. Also I…
  • Yes you almost definitely need more food. I don't know for sure b/c I don't know what you eat. But you did say 4 oz of fish and a salad??????? I'd go crazy eating that and even I'm not eating as much as I probably should right now.
  • I'm not surprised. You've been stuck in "diet" mode and now that you are out of it (having reached your goal) you don't have the discipline to eat in moderation. The all or nothing mentality is what drags so many people down I think. It still drags me down, but that's one of the main things I'm trying to change this go…
  • I don't care what you or anyone else wears. I do care when people who are doing NOTHING get in my way and use machines as places to rest against while chatting. And guess what? It may be a stereotype, but typically they are the girls who are made up and wearing super cute stuff. You probably aren't one of those girls, but…
  • When I had this problem (and a gym membership--I miss it so) I also just ignored them. That said, I did tend to try and go when it wasn't busy. They only annoyed me b/c most of the them usually failed to put the free weights back on the rack and then I had hunt them down. :grumble: Honestly I just figured that they were…
  • I'm not a mom, but I'm interested to hear what they have to say on this. It does seem to to be an impossible position society has put parents in today. (And not just regarding weight but that's another topic)

  • Everyone I know thinks that healthy is attractive. (Except this one girl) I guess I'm just lucky. (And slightly anti-social)
  • I agree with this mostly. I did come here with some previous experience with internet forums. I didn't read any of the stickies b/c that is just boring. I DO read a lot of current posts on topics I am interested in. I don't search for old threads usually. If I do and there isn't a very recent one I might go ahead and post.…
  • So great. Made me a little teary eyed. :)
