  • Good job! Okay but . . . I am so not trying to be a downer . . . but still make sure you REST before running again. A couple days at least. That goes for anyone who thinks this is a good idea. Also build up to it more. A few years ago I did that (60 minutes, 6 miles) (I had been running up to 30 minutes regularly) and then…
  • It could be related to your body becoming better conditioned. I'm assuming you are using a heart rate monitor. If that's how you are checking your burn then with the less calories burned you should also see a significantly lower heart rate through out your workout. That could simply be a result of you being fitter.
  • I just wanted to chime in and first say . . . LOL . . . gotta love the bevy of slightly conflicting advice. Second. I'm with the person who mentioned hypoglycemia. I don't have problems with it now, but I used to. My mother also has problems with it on and off. I'm basically just repeating what the other poster said, but I…
  • Ha, living together won't make much difference. BUT having a strong agreement and mutual commitment to healthy habits in which each spouse supports and encourages the other WILL help to make sure it doesn't happen to you!
  • Exactly!! You've got to be on the same page about healthy eating or else you gain weight by default. ALSO for a lot of people marriage also signals the advent of more responsibility--mortgage, rising job responsibility, kids etc. Stress and being busy leads to a lot of people ignoring their eating habits and eschewing…
  • I think it may be partially true that feeling that you've already got someone contributes to the weight gain. Honestly though there a lot more factors. One factor is that when you do everything together its hard to institute a healthy diet without both people being on board. Also its like you just want to have fun together…
  • Well I haven't been on that long but yeah I've logged in even my worst days. I might do it the next day. Logging makes you really face what you have done instead of ignoring a binge fest. You know like last weekend my husband brought me home a pizza hut pizza (kinda against my wishes) and I was in a bad mood and ate 5…
  • I'd love another friend for mutual support and motivation :)
  • Your stomach definitely looks more defined and your waist is smaller. I'm sure you built muscle over the 30 days so if your weight has remained the same I'd definitely say you lost fat and gained muscle. At your current weight you should focus a lot more on the measurements and (if you can get) body fat percentage. Great…
  • When boys (and girls too) are that age its really hard to tell, not really whether he likes you back or not--but if he's even in a place in his life where he can actually decide to like just one girl and be with just one girl. He may not know what he feels or wants right now. You are both growing as people. I like the…
  • Hmm, interesting I've seen this concept before but I've seen it with larger differences in the calorie intake between days. I don't know if just that difference will "reset" your body so to speak. I might eat more on the higher calorie days, but then I'm certainly not an expert nor have had much experience with it so I…
  • I wanted to add that after reading countless reviews on the different brands of birth control (not to mention different forms of medication) I have found that every prescription medication, every different birth control, affects each single person differently. While some people may have no side effects others have severe…
  • Yes, I've had difficulty. In particular, in the first couple months I was on this brand of birth control I gained 30 lbs, in total since I got on this pill (1 year 3 months) I've gained 45 lbs. I feel like my appetite is very much increased and I'm still debating on going off it to help with weight loss, but I think I'm…
  • ^^^^^ This Every time I've lost weight I've never been satisfied with myself, but when I look back at pictures I think man I looked good then. So this time I am DETERMINED to celebrate how I appear after weight loss and not be stuck thinking "I'm fat"
  • I can definitely see the difference. Under the bra but also in the tummy a lot! Keep trucking!!!
  • I agree with poster who said he needed to eat more. While I have not yet wrapped my mind around how to figure out how many calories to eat, I have heard (in particular about men) many stories about people who were not losing weight despite being on a strict diet and exercise regimen, then they upped their calories and…
  • I was so sad today when I found myself hungry after my afternoon snack b/c I knew I didn't have more calories for a bigger snack based on what I planned on for dinner. I didn't get to eat a roll with dinner.
  • Bump!! I'm curious about this too.
  • LOL Of course I am eating more!!! That's the point. I am hungry all the time and I eat more because of it. Obviously if I was awesome and had willpower of iron I could ignore it. So theoretically the pill isn't causing me to gain weight, just causing me to feel like a bottomless pit of hunger. And yes, my previous birth…
  • Food is the hardest . . . hands down! It takes only an hour or so of mental stamina for exercise but food can be an every waking minute mental challenge for me. Don't get me wrong though, exercise is hard for me too!
  • Friends do tend to say "you don't need to lose weight"--sometimes because they really believe it and sometimes I think because subconsciously if they are also overweight it would in its own way be a judgement on THEM as well--in their minds. Sisters I have found are the most delicate situations of all. I have admit that my…
