  • I'm with all of you - the only thing I decided to do different was throw in some high intensity cardio 2-3 days a week. I also to the calorie cycling (weekly total instead of daily total).
  • I did Atkins diet years ago and lost 4 lbs in 2 weeks and gained it back the minute I had a bowl of pasta. I would go to the "eat more to weigh less" group - you might not be eating enough with all of the exercise you are doing. I am like you - 5 lbs the first month - now only 1 to 2 lbs per month but at least its coming…
  • I have to be honest - I have never lost inches without losing weight. Now, I must say, that when I workout my inches are probably smaller than if I did not workout but my weight loss / inch loss goes hand in hand. i.e. Before: Bust: 39 inches now: 38 Waist: 32 inchs now: 30.5 hip: 39 inchs Now: 38.25 Weight: 168 Now: 157
  • Get a hybrid with a bike trailer. I would check craig's list and get a good used Trek bike .
  • Unfortunately, losing weight quickly makes the loose skin worse. I would focus on core exercises, weight training and if all else fails you have to decide if you would be willing to consider surgery, however, that is very painful and I would rather exaust all other means to a tighter tummy. I had twins and had a C-section…
  • I do some splurging on the weekend but only about 1 or 2 meals and I always exercise on a day I know i will splurge.
  • I guess one of my fears is that I have only lost 14 lbs so I gain back 5 or 6 lbs on a "reset" I'm afraid it will take me another 3 months just to lose the reset lbs.
  • Its about mind control. I have slowly pulled the 1-2 lbs a year trick, putting on 20 lbs in the last 15 years. I always diet really good, get about 10 lbs off, then gain it back at the HOlidays. I decided this year was going to be different I have found you have to watch what you eat 80% of the time with one or two meals…
  • I don't have a problem with the "whoosh" factor, as long as its a whoosh downward on the scale !!
  • WHICH ONE - RASBERRY KETONES OR GREEN COFFEE EXTRACT OR BOTH??
  • My rule is in the a.m., no clothes, after 3 to 4 days of being "good" so I either do it on a Thurs or Friday. Also - I do it once a week. No carbs or sodium the night before.
  • I think you will like this website. There are so many inspirational stories and support. Its better than a Weight Watchers meeting !!
  • That is what I did. Slowly, I gained 5 lbs every 5 years and then never lost it. It probably was a popcicle or glass of wine (or two).
  • Thanks - I did look up that link and it made sense about being consistent. I am very consistent and I am consistently losing 2 lbs per month. I may add outdoor cycling 3 times a week and up my calories for a month and see what happens.
  • According to the eat to lose people, you are not eating enough calories if you are working out that hard. I would up the calories on your workout days and drop them on the non-workout days.
  • Like everyone said - keep at it. I only weigh myself after I have had 4 good days in a row - usually Thursday or Friday a.m. No clothes, no carbs or sodium the night before. That can make a big difference. I have stayed the same for 3 weeks in a row and then all of sudden drop 2 or 3 lbs for no reason. Keep at it.
  • If avoiding carbs - the 100 calorie pack of almonds If not avoiding carbs - the Fiber One fudge brownie - 90 calories.
  • I have a hard time with salmon unless it is seasoned or try this: mix olive oil mayonnaise, green onion, parmesan cheese and a little lemon juice. Mix together and spread over salmon. Bake for 30 mins and is will make a crust over the fish that is excellent.
  • I did lose 1.5 lbs last week. NOt sure if it was the rasberry ketones or just my breakthrough weight loss that happens about once a month.
  • I love this webstie too. Wt Watchers doesn't count every single calories, this websites does and it has every food I have ever searched for in its database. I love myfitpal !!
  • In my experience (I love wine) I will not lose weight if I drink wine. I allow for a spluge once a week, nice dinner and wine or martinis but I DO NOT drink during the week. There is something about wine that goes straight to your stomach. Also - alcohol is converted to sugar.
  • LET'S SEE - they raised the price of cigarettes to $5-7.00 per pack and it didn't stop the smokers. People need to TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR OBESITY. Its not Coca-Cola's fault !!!
  • What about a compromise? Lost 12 pounds and get pregnant in 6 months??
  • Its very difficult to get 10,000 per day unless part of your job is walking. I think activity counts towards your overall calories burned. If you spend the day getting in an out of the car, walking into the store, unloading groceries - those are all calorie burners. Maybe not enough to raise the heart rate but still you…
  • I wish I netted lower. According to MFP, I net the 1200 cal a day I'm suppose to, however, I am only losing 2 lbs per month if what you are doing is working - keep doing it.
  • I log all of it unless I'm on vacation and can't remember what I ate. That way, I average out the week and if I'm averaging 1600 per day and exercising an average of 400 - I will lose weight even if I have two spluge meals (not days) per week.
  • Thanks for the info. I only have the rasberry ketone pills - not sure if they are a "pure form" . The ingredients are rasberry ketones, green tea extract and vegetable stearate - maybe that is a filler?
  • I might try that. What I do is some days I eat 1200 calories, some days I spluge and eat 2200. I average out my calories over a 7 day period, then I average out my exercise and take my grosse calories, minus exercise - so yes, I am netting 1100 - to 1200 calories a day.
  • Yes, I always eat my exercise calories. I'm starving if I don't.
