I haven't been using weights.. only brisk walking. How many lbs should I start with? [/quote] Start out slow, 3 to 5 pounds, you will feel sore in the beginning, be sure to stretch after workout. Google some beginning strength workouts. Livestrong, WebMD, ACEfitness.org are good sites to check out. You are on your way....!

I agree with SwissMiss, weights, I use weights 2-3/week and alternating days a cardio workout. Weights are huge, I see definition in my arms for sure, especially the biceps even though I'd prefer to see it in the triceps but those are tougher to define but I am starting to see it there. My legs are so much stronger and…

OK, I don't have the willpower/discipline for this! My biggest frustration is snacking at night. I love to have 1-2 glasses of wine while online, or watching TV or reading (usually 8pm on) and have some snacky things. What do you all tell yourselves, how do you not sit and munch, how can I reprogram myself? Just curious…

I'll open mine but I don't think mine is one to learn from, I need to learn from others. It's a great idea.

I'll try this starting tonight. This is my BIGGEST problem, I also have wine when I snack at night, need to stop that too! Hope I can do this, I have no willpower at night. I do great all day and blow it from 8:30pm on so I will start then. Thanks for starting this challenge.

You look incredible! How did you do it other than logging what you eat? What workouts did you do?

You guys are quick! I do drink water throughout the day but I will focus on increasing the amount, I wonder if I don't drink enough before my workout. I'll get up have a whole wheat bagel with peanut butter or eggs and 2 cups of coffee, then start drinking water. I do sip on water throughout my workout but I don't drink…

Hummus is great, it's awesome. Also, I found for myself, with any kind of chip, right now it's Stacy's Simply Baked Pita chips, I only put one serving size in a bowl and that is all I allow myself. It so helps!!!! Put the bag away after you fill your very small bowl! Good luck!

Sounds like your Mom might not know how important this is to you, or how to compliment, no doubt she loves you, just doesn't know how to cheer for you? In any event, amazing job! Keep up the good work, I'm sure it's been a tough journey to get where you are now. Can't wait to hear when you run that 5K and kick butt!
