YUMMMM! Gonna have to try this one. :)

I always remember this one by Staind: And it's been awhile Since I've seen the way The candles light your face And it's been awhile But I can still remember Just the way you taste And from Natasha Bedingfield: Live your life with arms wide open Today is where your book begins The rest is still unwritten

Go for it! Sounds like your friend is the lame one. I've walked a half marathon at over 200 lbs. and nobody thought that was lame. We all have to start somewhere. Yay for you! :)

Very neat. I guessed 12.5% bigger than I am. All I see is the same rolls and bumps I had 70 lbs. ago, just smaller. But I still see them and they still seem overwhelmingly overwhelming. Funny how it's so difficult to see in the mirror the progress I've made. Guess it's time to stick up a "before" picture on the mirror.

I agree. I think it's important to have "single" time in one's life. It's so important to know and love yourself as just you, before you dive into relationship after relationship. One of my girlfriends has NEVER been without at least one man in her life, since 7th grade. She is 47 now and seems happy enough with her 2nd…

Five years between last high school boyfriend and boyfriend met in college. Dated him for 4 years, married for 15 years, separated for 3, then divorced. Been officially single for almost 3.5 years now and I'm rather liking it. I miss having a close connection with someone--emotionally, mentally, physically--but I don't…

Bell peppers. I've tried but it's a taste that can't really be disguised. I used to not like salmon until I tried some really fresh, sashimi-grade Scottish salmon from the local meat store. Grilled and seasoned with a little salt and pepper...yummmm! I guess that makes me a salmon snob. ;)

I second the Enell. It's ugly as anything and a little tricky to get into, but it works like no other sports bra I've ever tried. The girls didn't move when I wore mine (I've lost weight and it doesn't really fit properly anymore...guess it's time to think about a new one). I even found some at discount prices here:…

I love accents of any kind. Being Boston born and raised though, it bothers me when actors in movies are "coached" into a fake Boston accent. Not sure how it is with other accents, but it seems that it's not something that can be coached properly. You either have it or you don't. ;)

bump...love this post

I love the Anytime Fitness near me. Good cardio selection, nice universal weight equipment, and lots of free weights. Not usually crowded but everyone I've met there is really friendly. It's not like a meat or grunt market either like I've seen at some gyms. They've partnered with the Zumba place two stores down strip mall…

I feel your pain, although in a different way. I was in tears a couple weekends ago at a local bra boutique with TONS of sizes and styles and great, experienced sales people. The sales people were all busy helping other customers so I spent a good amount of time trying on something like 10 different bras with no luck.…

This is the sort of thing that makes me NOT want to jump back into the dating pool. The whole not knowing thing. Does he? Doesn't he? Ai yi yi. Thinking good thoughts for you no matter how this turns out.

80 lbs. ago, I had two large bellies. 80 lbs. later, I still have two bellies. They're just smaller than they were. Saggier too. I think the lower one is actually a bit flatter than the upper one and truth be told, the only way I'm going to get rid of them completely is to finish losing the fat (30 lbs. to go), maintain…

I don't have any before/afters (yet) but wanted to offer a suggestion. I did Day 1 last week and ended up making a few substitutions. Instead of the pushups and crunches Jillian does, I did the wall pushups and ab exercises my physical therapist has me doing. I also substituted jogging in place for jumping jacks because my…

Here's my ticker (hopefully!). Just created a new one: <a href="http://lilyslim.com/"><img src="http://sfgm.lilyslim.com/gQ6om4.png" width="200" height="80" border="0" alt="LilySlim Fitness goals tickers" /></a> Whatever. I have no idea how to make this work, lol. I'll update in LilySlim each day and when I'm not falling…

I'll accept that challenge. Most of it will be walking for me, since my arthritic knees don't like too much running. *I* like to run on occasion though so will include some jogging in my mileage. I'll be doing it for seven people in particular: one of the girls in my church was there as a volunteer EMT and was caught in…

Once I've lost to goal and maintained for a while, I'll have plastics and then set a new goal for continuing to improve fitness and muscle.

I've lost approx. 85 lbs. from my highest weight. Band has shrunk a few sizes. Cup size, not at all. Bleurgh.

See your doctor. You may get sent to an orthopedic doctor. It could be any number of things, from really benign stuff to more serious stuff. You can develop arthritis behind your kneecap (I've got it), or chondromalacia can cause kneecap pain, or meniscus injuries, or who knows what. What you don't want to do is make…

Sounds like you've got a good plan for moving forward. I have an appointment on Monday to find out what (if anything) is going on with my thyroid and other hormones. I found out in January that my thyroid is enlarged. Had two nodules biopsied (both came back consistent with benign findings, with a 2% margin of error). My…

No time to comment in detail but have you considered Walden Farms dressings? They've got some really good tasting stuff, all 0 calories, 0 fat, etc.

bump-a-dee-bump...gonna start me some 30ds as soon as I can carve out the time...probably this weekend

Bumping to read later for more good exercise ideas. Thanks! :)

Are you tracking food on Fitbit as well as on MFP? There's a Fitbit forum I joined last year when I first connected my Fitbit and MFP and one of the suggestions from Fitbit was to use MFP to record (manually) all your food and exercise and NOT on Fitbit too. What you enter on MFP will carry back to Fitbit if you've got…

I usually bring my dog with me but if I'm walking at lunch at work, no dog. I've got a RoadID that I wear whenever I go out. If I'm listening to music, I have one earbud in and the other hanging around my neck so that I can hear what's going on around me. Besides that...I'll be skimming the rest of the thread for other…

Walk and jog for exercise. Broke my big toe back in February and wasn't cleared for exercise with impact until last week. Feels great to get out there again!

My 9yo pissed me off so much that I kicked a chair and broke my big toe. It was split-second choice between kicking the chair and throwing him across the room (he's small, but 60+ lbs. so that would have been difficult) and although I ended up stuck in an orthopedic boot for 2 months, it was the better choice of the two.…
