I was one of those kids that hit puberty late and suffered "growing pains" well into my 20's. Im thinking of doing cardio every other day, and maybe researching weights to do on my "off" Zumba days.

When I do Zumba, I usually burn an average of 100 calories every 10 minutes, and I like that I can still benefit from Zumba even if I dont do all the moves as intense as the instructors. I can make my own modifications, break anytime and still feel accomplished.

I do Zumba and when I first did it in combo with MFP I lost about 25 pounds in a few months... (I was 252 at my heaviest and got down to 230 even). SOmetimes when I work out, I'll just stop and let the heart rate monitor run out like a clock at a basketball game and count those towards my calories at the end of the day. Lets see what else..... I dont lift weights because I am a total newb and wouldnt know what the hell I was doing. I would love to learn though so that I dont injure myself and I acheive my weight loss goals. If the OP is willing to offer up some knowledge or insights on this, I for one, am very interested.

Thanks for the advice! Im still trying to master good eating habits and really understand the difference between when my body is physically hungry and when its just emotionally hungry. I try not to force myself to eat when im not hungry while also trying not to eat until im full. Its a delicate balance that I dont always…

How hydrated were you? Did you take breaks in between your workout? Are you new to working out? Had you eaten before hand? If you did, was it something heavy? Lots of factors play into that "Imma frow up" feeling people get post workout.... I say dial down the workout just a bit or break more frequently and hydrate more.…

You know what really helps? Eating super low calorie snacks. When I was first starting to loose weight I had the night time, post workout munchie crazies and what really helped was eating something solid that wouldnt knock me off track. Want something sweet? Eat jello. Craving something salty? Eat kosher dill pickle…
