  • Hi all, I'm also on TeamRH. Please feel free to add me.
  • I have just bought a MyZone belt. I really like it's data. I'd love it to sync with MFP. Anyone heard anything to suggest it's going to link any time soon?

  • Yes I have found this. I've hit a plateau and wondered if it was because of the calculator overestimating the burn.
  • Because it's a cheap one it only measures my heart rate. It doesn't measure my calorie burn too. I only bought a cheap one to see what it was like and if the novelty would wear off for me but I use it all the time now so I need to invest........ In the meantime I do need to use an accurate calculator.
  • Yes I was thinking along those lines. Put the thought in their head without obviously aiming it at them. The article idea is good, or "guess what I saw on MFP this morning.......". Name drop MFP and it might encourage them to have a sneaky look and get some more ideas and encouragement.
  • Ooooh I get this too!! I do 2 zumba classes a week and a Total Tone class and thought it was from all that. I was in agony by the end of the week last week. I'll be interested to see what suggestions come up. And yes, how DO you stretch your knees???
  • Ok, this is what I found easiest and most realistic: Used this link for the calculator: http://www.triathlontrainingblog.com/calculators/calories-burned-calculator-based-on-average-heart-rate/ But found it really high without the VO2max so found that by doing this: (max heart rate/resting heart rate) x 15 = VO2max And to…
  • hahahahaahaaaa, that did make me chuckle. If only hey??? How are you working it out? Have you got your weight in kilos?
  • I love the gym that I go to but I need to vary things to stop myself getting bored. I go to Zumba twice a week, Total Tone once, swimming once, and to the actual gym area once or twice a week where I use an Arc trainer and the resistance machines.
  • It's so strange how different scales produce different weights! Surely 1lb is 1lb regardless of what it's weighed on.
  • Yes, calories per minute. Although I found it to be really really high.
  • I've taken to having a slimfast shake most mornings cos they're quick and easy when I'm running round trying to get the kids ut the house and me off to work. Surprised at how much it fills me up actually. BUT I always have a box of Golden Syrup Oats So Simple at work in case I forget or don't fancy a shake. Plus it makes…
  • Right, I found a link to work out my VO2max and that online calculator now works a treat and results look much more realistic to me now. Thanks for the help guys. If I'm going to do this I'm going to do it properly and the formula you chose could make a massive difference so I wanted to get it right. Using the formula…
  • I'm very poor!!! lol. I had to get a cheap one off ebay. It's by Target Fitness. I know it's basic, and knew that when I bought it, but I thought it was better to have a basic one than nothing at all. Now I can save up for a really decent one. In the meantime though I could do with a link to a site with the formula or a…
  • There are loads of different ones on the internet and quite honestly I'm confused lol
  • Hiya, here's mine: Start Weight: 237 Current Weight: 237 (first weigh in tomorrow) Goal Weight: 161 Height: 5'7" Age: 33 Clothes Size: 20 trousers, 22 tops (UK sizes) Favourite Exercise: Zumba - so much fun!
  • Hiya! :) I'm Terri, mum of 2, live in the UK and I'm 33. I've always been a yoyo dieter, spent half my life on various weight loss programmes. I was a size 10-12 (and can you believe felt big then!!) and now I'm here at size 20 in trousers, 22 in tops. How did that happen????? lol. I got married last year and then got a…
  • Michael Jackson has good ones - really good beats and full of energy.
  • I got one I got one!!! lol. Bought a cheap one off ebay and decided to go with one with a chest strap so that it ws continuous too. Wore it for the first time last night and felt really good that I had a more accurate idea of what I was burning. Thanks for the help.
  • Wow, 100 calories is quite a difference! Ok, great, I'll have a look for one. I guess ebay or Amazon would be best?? So does the HRM tell you how many cals you're burning or do you have to work it out for yourself?
  • A what???? lol. Sorry, new to this. Can you explain please :)
  • I'M IN!!!!!! Just registered with myfitnesspal today and ready to go. I do exercise but I need that push that you're talking about. Bring it on :)
