I started at 165 in Oct 2011, down to 155. Its been difficult! Need to get down to at least 135. I try to stay at about 1200 calories per day and try to walk an hour each day. Really been off the last week or so. Hoping to get my motivation back!

Dr Oz is nothing but a supplement slut. He'll promote anything for a buck. One day its one thing, the next something totally different. Have no respect for him anymore.

You've really done well! Keep up the good work. Looking forward to my latest results next Monday. Started out at 13.6 last May, 7.9 in July, 6.0 in Oct. Hoping for 6.0 or lower this time, then hopefully will start getting off some of the meds. Currently on Metforim 1000 mg /day and Victoza 1.2 mg /day.

I do the one minute muffin, but add a tablespoon on protein powder and a tablespoon of wheat germ. The cereal/milk would be too high in carbs for me. The eggs & toast would be okay.

Don't see any reason guys can't do this video too. And yes, it will benefit you. I have been doing Zumba 2x per week and Water Aerobics 2 x per week, plus walking every day and this video still kicked my butt! I did D3L1 last night. I am less sore today than yesterday so looking forward to D4L1 Connie

You can adjust the carb/protein/fat levels in your program. I have my set at 40% carbs, 30% protein, and 30% fat. I try to keep my carbs under 100 g per day.

I had to do some of the exercises with the modifications! It was really tough. Can't wait for it to get easier. I'm going to do my day 2 later today after I get home from obedience class with my dog.

I lost my first 50 lbs doing nothing but walking. I have taken up other exercise programs only because the weather right now doesn't allow me to get in the walks that I need. As soon as weather clears I will be back out walking.:wink:

Many nutritionists will give you a goal of 150 grams of carbs per day - which is still way to high for a diabetic. When I was first diagnosed I was told this and felt pretty good with that as a goal. I use steamed cauliflower in place of potatoes and pasta. For many people (more and more every day) cutting carbs is not a "fad" or "Yo-Yo" diet it is a life-saving way of life. As a diabetic it is essential that I limit daily carbs, there are many ways to do it if you make the effort. :smile:

Cindy, I also found that the carb limit set by the program was WAY too high. I try to keep under 120 grams per day. I started out trying for 150, once I got that down I dropped it to 120. When I get that under control I will try to drop to 100. I know some people who keep it under 50! I'm not anywhere near there yet.…

I use cauliflower in place of pasta with spaghetti sauce - that is probably my favorite. I also use it in place of rice with stir fry.
