hmmm.calculator tells me for extreme weight loss, at my current size to eat about 2000 calories based on exercise level. i'm going to have to think about this. i'm well under that.

i think physically, you can..but mentally if it caused me to gain weight that day, i would be disappointed. if i maintained weight, i'd be ok. discipline has been my achilles heel, so better i stay within my intake numbers always.

i think you can do that. but don't get into over your gross calorie limit one day, justifying it by going way low the next day.

i don't eat back my calories burned generally. i won't punish myself if i do eat my max calories one day per week or 2, but i'm really trying to learn to pay attention to what my BODY is telling me. my MIND will tell me to have ice cream every day or...its ok to overindulge today..you'll get back into it tomorrow (and i…

agree completely with this. while its hard to do, i believe the theory of reverse pyramid eating. biggest meal at breakfast to stoke the metabolic furnace for the day, etc.

i'm at 1500 average right now, burning 3200 on average day..but i'm a big framed guy, 6ft, currently about 260 lb. working to get to 200. it would be interesting to see how my calorie needs drop as i get closer to my target weight (some say that a guy my size shouldn't eat only 1300 calories a day)

i like either a babybel light cheese or if i'm a bit hungrier, some light kind of low fat fruit bar tides me over. babybel is 50 cal, the bars i got from safeway are 120.
