  • I'm post WLS (2/14/18) I lost 100lbs prior to getting pregnant last year. I just had my first baby back in July and need to lose my 30lbs of baby weight, plus another 30 to hit goal. Here is hoping my sleeve restriction returns. :)
  • I'd love to join this! And since it starts today that would make it perfect! :) I'd love to be in Gryffindor house! :)
  • I couldn't believe how fast it filled up! We had read on some online blogs that if you signed up in the first 3 hours you would be okay. I know I signed up in the first hour and it was already 45% full! By the time I got home at 4pm, it was FULL!
  • I have the Fitbit Flex and I LOVE it! It tracks steps, calories, and even my sleep. Its so easy to use and I can wear it 24/7. It's waterproof and everything! :)

  • 28, no kids, and not married. I"m currently training for my first half marathon in Disney in February! Would love to help support you. :) Add me if you would like. :)
  • I am running in costume! :) Not sure if I'm doing Ariel or Snow White though! Decisions, decisions...
  • I'm on week 4 of Insanity and it definitely lives up to its name. Make sure you have plenty of room to move and you drink a LOT of water to help you out. Also, if you miss a day do NOT double up to catch up. It is NOT good for you. I found that out the hard way. And don't forget, if you can't do the exercise, do as much as…
  • Wednesday Wish: I wish that my butt and thighs would stop hurting! I'm super sore from all of this exercise. I know it will get better with time, but it is still very tough. My students saw me trying to sit and got tickled because I could barely bend my legs to get into my chair. But I know it isn't pain from injury, so…
  • Today was a good day. My kids did an in class project in small groups so I was able to complete some much needed grading and tutoring with my lower kids. It was wonderful. I wish I could take more days like that, but sadly our curriculum doesn't let it. Other than that, I have been on track with my goals for the week,…
  • Monday Check In: Good evening MFP family. I trust that you all had wonderful days and have all successfully met your goals for the day. If you haven't, keep trying! Today was Day 1 of Insanity and let me just say that I am seriously DYING! I'm not made for jumping up and down and doing jumping jacks, but that is precisely…
  • Sunday Share: Hello MFP family! Long time and no see. I am so happy to be back to see you all! I have missed 4 roll overs so I suppose I have a LOT of catching up to do! For those of you who don't know me, my name is Jana and I am a school teacher. I teach 5th grade Math and LOVE my job! :) Since my last update, I have…
  • Happy New Year MFP Family! I have missed you all! With the holidays and everything else going on, I haven't had much time to stop by and visit, but it is a new year and time for new commitments. I have a challenge for all of you if you should choose to take it. I suggested on my own page a 365 miles in 365 days challenge.…
  • Tuesday Goals: Today was another one of those days...UGH! However, I did not let that get to me. Instead, today was a day of temptation. This morning when I got to work, I ate my breakfast as I always do and started my day off like normal. I went to lunch with my kids, ate a decent lunch, and then headed home. I had…
  • Monday Check-In Today was one of those days. You know the kind, teachers. The kind where no matter how you teach or taught a concept the students seemed to have lost EVERYTHING you have been teaching all year and act like you are speaking Greek to them and then act like complete animals. Ugh...that was my day today. My…
  • If you asked me a year ago if I would run with you, I would state, "Only if we are chasing the icecream truck or something is chasing me." Now I am absolutely addicted! Back in July I started with C25K and ran my very first 5K in September of that year. It wasn't easy for me. I had to walk part of the way. But the fact…
  • Friday Fitness: Today was a good day. My kids tested so that meant that I could catch up on grading and paperwork (journals for my SPED students on their daily activities regarding their IEP's) that I have been neglecting to complete. I managed to get most of it done and what I didn't is now sitting on the kitchen table…
  • Thursday Truth: Today is Day 5 of logging for me since I"ve gotten back up on the weight loss trolley. I'm hoping to stay on and get back up to the 135 days I was at before I fell off. Can't tell you how sad I was to see that number disappear. :( My students were awesome today. We went through adding and subtracting Mixed…
  • Wednesday Wishes: My wish for today is for my boyfriend to find a new job that he likes. He has become a completely different person since he took this job he is currently working. He is sad and mopey all the time now. He NEVER wants to do anything anymore except sleep. (And I can understand since he works nights) He has…
  • Tuesday Goals: Today was a good day. I spent the day teaching adding fractions with unlike denominators to my kiddos and they seemed to catch on, so I'm hoping tomorrow is even better and I can keep going without having to spend too much time reteaching. :) I went grocery shopping this afternoon and got some good stuff to…
  • *Peeks head into room and waves to everyone* Monday Check-In: Wow. It feels really strange realizing that I have been gone for so long. I literally had to go through 2 missed threads to get here. The thought that I've been MIA so long makes me a little sad, but I'm back and I'm going to try to be better about posting. :)…
  • Thursday Truth: ~ Been too stressed out to do anything I'm supposed to. ~ BF got laid off from his job until the end of January and he can't find a replacement. (He's working at the resturant until further notice much to my dismay) ~ Parents telling me how to do my job frustrate me to no end. I'm doing the best I can. ~…
  • Monday Check-In: I'm finally starting to feel better for the first time in a while. I've felt so sluggish the last few weeks and my workouts have been lackluster at best, when I do one at all. I have decided that today is the day to get back on the wagon, so I am going to attempt to run my 5k today and see how bad/good my…
  • Sunday Share: I have been having a problem finding yummy and low calorie foods that I can make quickly and enjoy. :) A friend of mine suggested a 30 day recipe challenge and I jumped on board. Basically, what you do is you find a recipe once a day for 30 days. You can try it or not, but you post it and share it with…
  • Monday Check-In: Sorry about missing yesterday, I injured myself working out and was unable to function. I dislocated my hip while doing floor exercises and was stuck for about a half hour until the pain subsided. I managed to get to the couch and get my massager onto my hip. I did that until I could finally get mobility…
  • We have a behavior intervention specialist at our school. Her job is to find out who our students that are not being successful in the Tier process are and to get them the help they need. Our specialist is fabulous and she really cares about the kiddos. :)
  • B-usy trying to get everything done U-ploading student grades as I type this M-issing my "me" time P-raying everyone is having a great weekend. :)
  • I regularly do cardio everyday and then I added weight training 3 days a week. On the days I do weight training, I only do half the cardio I would normally do. It gets me warmed up so that I don't strain my muscles. I've never heard about losing muscle from doing cardio. I know running is cardio, but I'm building muscle at…
  • Wednesday Wish: ~ That people would take a hint and let it go... My cousin's fiance' messaged me today to apologize to me completely out of left field. While I tried to understand WHY on Earth she was apologizing to me, all she kept saying was to please forgive her and she was sorry. When I FINALLY got her to explain to me…
  • Tuesday Goals: ~ Get all grades completed and posted. ~ Log food into MFP. ~ Keep on keeping on. Things I learned this summer: ~ There were several things that I learned but I think the most important thing was that I can control my eating and my weight. I can also inspire others to do the same. It has been so amazing to…
