  • I just started yesterday. Who knew there were so many different types of push-ups? My shoulders are a bit sore this morning, but not as bad as I expected. Starting Day 2 in about an hour. Feel free to add me... I need encouragement to stay committed.
  • I'm on Tecfidera and LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I felt well on Copaxone except for the injection site reactions and lumps and bruises. I switched to Gilenya and had to stop after 6 days because I could barely breathe. I started Tecfidera this summer. I had some flushing in the beginning and occasional Big D, but my body seems to…
  • I have RRMS. Thanks for the tips!
  • Hi All! I'm new to this group as well as newly diagnosed. Short version- In Jan 2012 I got serious about diet and exercise. Jioned MFP, counted calories, got my *kitten* in the best shape of my life. Around July I started noticing my arms and legs were "falling asleep" more than usual.. like multiple times a day. I figured…
  • Hi! I was diagnosed with MS in October. I just started exercising again (like for less than a week now) and yesterday I experienced pins and needles so bad I literally had trouble walking. That was the first time ever that my symptoms were that severe. I looked it up and apparently the increase in symptoms is because of…
  • I'm on day 3 of following the menu (somewhat.. not perfectly). I've dropped 3 lbs (probably water, but I'll take it) and I cooked like a crazy person last night so I would have my healthy meal options "ready to go". Plus, I feel really proud of myself every time I snack on an apple or blend a Greek yogurt and berry…
  • I use it as a replacement for rice. I cook it in low sodium chicken broth instead of water and toss it in with stir-fry or as on its own as a side. Just like rice, it really doesn't have much flavor on its own.. you have to add flavor with veggies or seasonings, etc. But it's super healthy and very filling.
  • I just finished it last night. (Reading it) I'm making my shopping list today and going to try his 4 week meal plan starting tomorrow. Maybe it will help me lose those last few stubborn lbs! Maybe not, but eating only healthy foods for a month certainly isn't going to hurt me. Plus, I liked that his recipes for the most…
  • Increase, increase, increase your calories. I felt the same way. Was working out 5-6 days a week, 1200 calories per day. Felt like a zombie. Then, after reading the posts on MFP, I bit the bullet and increased to 1400 and ate back some of my exercise calories. Wow! The difference was almost immediate. If that doesn't help-…
  • Getting up at 4 AM to exercise sounds like my personal version of Hell! I don't work, but I do have a 4 yo and can sympathise with finding time to exercise. What works for me is setting a time every day to exercise, and giving my daughter notice "Mommy is going to exercise now. If you need something, tell me now- otherwise…
  • Way to go! You should be so proud! Enjoy every second in those jeans!!!!!

  • Level 1 of 30DS is available on youtube for free. Give it a shot. After that, the DVD is less than $10. It's an amazing workout! You get great results in 25 minutes a day!
  • I have a St Bernard. I have her shaved in the Spring/Summer. I know that her "coat is her air-conditioning".. but we have AC in the house so I don't let that bother me. I also agree with the furminator suggestion. That thing gets out an amazing amount of hair! As far as the furniture thing, I have this little box that I…
  • I did when I first joined MFP but then realized I was using it as an excuse to "earn" more calories for the day. Now I only log exercise unless I do something really strenuous like shovelling snow or mowing the lawn.
  • I still log ot as circuit training. I bought a timex calorie counter watch yesterday and it said I burned 19 calories..... it BETTER be wrong! LOL
  • After my knee injury I still have 5 days on Level 3 before I complete 30DS, but I've also started NMTZ. I think I'm moving onto that, I like the moves a lot better and I find it REALLY challenging. Plus, I find it better on the ol' knees. Although "Surrenders" may kill me! I'm aiming for NMTZ 3x a week and cardio 2x a week…
  • I just got a Cho-Pat the other day. So far I like it, but I agree with the other posters. You need to strengthen your other muscles around the knee.
  • Started back up a few days ago. Today is L3D4. Finding it tough after the break but I only have 7 more days. I WILL complete this. Then I'm thinking either No More Trouble Zones or 6 Week 6 Pack. Any one have thoughts on either of these?
  • Exactly! Don't get discouraged.
  • I do this too! But not exactly weekly. So far I've rewarded myself with a spa pedicure, a trip to Victoria's Secret to get fitted and buy new bras in a smaller size, and I have an appointment scheduled for a body wrap.
  • Wow! Such great results! I've got 8 days left on L3. I have been on a Jillian DVD spending spree so after that I'm thinking of No More Trouble Zones or 6 Week 6 Pack.. but I have most of her others too so I'm not quite decided on what is next! 23 inches is absolutely amazing! Great job and I'll bet you look amazing!!!!
  • I'm 5'10' 143 lbs and just bought my first pair of size 6 jeans since college! YAY!!!! Hoping that maybe if the planets align and I can get rid of the handful of belly fat that one day size 4 might fit, but if not I'm ok with that too. I never dreamed I would get down to a 6, so I'm more than happy. Still gotta get rid of…
  • I have both Shape Ups and Tone Ups. I would NEVER exercise in either of them (because they force you to stand in a way that isn't natural for your body and I think, for me personally, I'm much more comfortable exercising in a "regular" sneaker), but for walking around, shopping, etc.. they are really comfortable. I don't…
  • Inject tobasco sauce into the bag before you pop it... mmmmmm
  • If you haven't tried the 30 Day Shred yet, you'll get results. Quick 20 minutes that work the heck out of all your muscles. I never realized that I actually had a muscle in my shoulder until I started this workout! LOL! Who knew? The workouts are "no joke' (to quote Jillian) but the deliver FAST!
  • Awesome NSVs! Comgratulations!
  • Having been a breakfast skipper most of my life, I started with just a protein shake. I still do that some days. Other days I'll have 2 hard boiled eggs or multi-grain waffles. I really can tell a difference in myself when I eat breakfast. The difference is- I'm hungrier! I eat breakfast at 7. By 10 I'm hungry so I have a…
  • Aw, so sweet! And yay you!
  • Thanks y'all! (LOL.. I'm still a Southern girl at heart even though I haven't lived in the South for 15 years!) I really appreciate your support. I saw some of my closest friends today for the first time in months and was really hurt that not one of them commented to me on my "lifestlye change" results. Your support really…
  • Amazing!You look stunning!
