You need to forego the "Get my monies worth" mentality. Choose your foods carefully and allow a couple of splurges a day--either a fruity drink or a few bites of a decadent dessert. Work out every morning. Skip the pastries and junk at breakfast. Instead of the buffet, just sit at a table and let them bring you an egg…

I would suggest joining a support group. It sounds like your binging is emotionally related. My only other advice is to avoid temptation. Pay at the pump for example.

I just don't give a rats *kitten*, so it's not something I'm walking around trying to figure out. Only once in my life have I had a lesbian hit on me and not react gracefully when I told her that I was straight (not narrow) and flattered, but no thanks. I just don't see the need to figure out someone's sexuality, nor do I…

So sorry that you are going through this! You really, really, really need to work with a licensed physical therapist to develop a workout routine that will be safe for you to do. Until you can work out, you need to reduce your calories. Until you've healed some I wouldn't worry as much about losing, but rather maintaining.…

Into the rice cooker put: 1 cup Quinoa 2 cups water or chicken broth 2 TBSP reduced sodium soy sauce 1 TBSP powdered ginger 2 heaping tablespoons roasted garlic a few 'shakes" of red chili flakes Cover, turn it on and wait until it's done like you would race. (20-25 minutes or so) Top with a little sesame seed or chopped…

As you lose the rest of the weight causing the love handles, your shape should be more "triangular."

Sure MFP has it as exercise.

In my opinion, if you're genuinely hungry, have a small healthy snack--something protein based is preferable. make sure to drink 8-10 ounces of water with it. Count it against your calories/macros. It will keep you from binging and keep your blood sugar stable. I don't believe in snacking for the sake of snacking though.

Feel free to add me. I've got some great supportive friends, and I know how important that is during your journey!

You need to add some protein. A bowl of oatmeal with fresh (or frozen) fruit and a hard boiled egg would be a better choice. I eat that 3-4 times a week and it really sticks to the ribs.

90 minutes, give or take. I'm sidelined this week with a foot injury so can't do my daily five miles and even some of my yoga poses have been off limits. :( On Sunday I typically do between 10 and 13.1 miles plus 30 minutes of yoga, so 2.5-3 hours.

I think it also depends on how big your house is. Sure, cleaning an 600 s/f apartment might not really burn enough calories to make much of a difference, but cleaning a 3000 s/f house sure does.

Thank you for your permission.

For years my son has handled all the vacuuming. Because it's good exercise I've recently taken that chore over. It takes me a full hour to properly vacuum the entire house--meaning moving furniture, getting into the many corners with a crevice tool, etc. I definitely work up a sweat doing it. So yes, I count it.

Wrong. Like I said, it's power walking. I walk faster than some joggers. It's highly cardio intensive and involves legs, arms, and core, It's not a stroll around the block. The numbers jive with both Map My walk and MFP.

Look for inches more than weight. Cut back on the fruit, have vegetables instead. Weigh and measure all food and stick to your calorie goal. Exercise every day--at least an hour, even if it's just a brisk walk.

Run in an open, well populated area. Take a whistle along to have a sense of security. You are far more likely to be the victim of a crime in the parking lot of a grocery store or chopping center--do you go to those?
-
Great job!

Exactly! Knee length shorts (or an inch or so above) are flattering on everyone. With the right cut they can actually make legs look longer and more slender than capris will. As far as butt and thighs go, there is no difference between knee length shorts and capris.

Five miles every day. (Currently side lined with an injury for a few more days :( ) Takes me an average of about an hour. I walk faster than some of the joggers in my neighborhood.

However there are some looks that just aren't good. It makes me sad for people when they could look so much better if they had made different choices when they got dressed. What was that line from Steel Magnoias? "You look like 10 pounds of potatoes stuffed into a five pound sack." That's not a good look on anyone,…

I powerwalk outside in the summer. i sweat. I log it. Are you saying that I shouldn't log 600 calories worked off?

The only time I really notice someone is if their clothes are either way too tight or just a really bad/inappropriate style for them. I used to work with a woman who was at least 100 pounds overweight. She had this one outfit--pants that were at least two sizes two small that she wore with underwear that was also far too…

In my opinion, there's no difference between Bermuda style shorts and capris. Your butt and thighs will look the same in both. Now if you are talking Daisy Dukes, well, in my opinion very few women over the age of 25 can pull that look off or should even bother to try--even if they have a smoking hot body. Sometimes it's…

It depends. Running a dust rag, cleaning a toilet, or loading the dishwasher, no. Doing heavy scrubbing, vacuuming the entire house, cleaning carpets, scrubbing floors, scrubbing baseboards on my hands and knees, I count it. I washed my car yesterday and had to scrub the heck out of it to get the love bugs off, I put in…

No--it's the cheapest peanut, corn, or canola oil they can buy.

I measure once a week or when I remember to--which can be a couple weeks. I do weigh every day, but also acknowledge that weight can go up and down by a few pounds for any number of reasons. I weigh myself daily as it's my coping mechanism to keep myself honest. :)

I'll bet you didn't outgrow it, it just went into a sort of remission. It will only get worse--MUCH worse--if it's not addressed. I know this from experience. It's no fun being intubated.

I've never been to a hibachi restaurant where they only used about 3 tbsp of oil on the grill. Usually it's triple that anyhow.

How do you measure liquids?
