I understand and respect these posts but the comment I made about what my trainer said was simple biology certainly not a "one size fits all approach" just the mechanics of how the liver and kidneys work together.

I was told by a trainer that the liver is what burns fat. The kidneys clean the body. When the kidneys are overworked (soda, tea, coffee etc...) the liver must stop burning fat and help your kidneys clean your body. Open water certified and seriously one of the main reasons I got on MFP was to get back into my wet suit. I can get in it now but I am pretty sure it's cutting off oxygen to some pretty important places. LOL!

Some days I struggle more than others. I find that when I am thinking about delicious food it obviously makes it worse. For example I would love some chipolte for lunch. After a few days maybe a week your body gets use to it and you don't have to go to the bathroom as much. It's really annoying until then though. :-)

For me I just make sure I am eating my 1200 calories a day. Some days I will eat the extra exercise calories and some days I don't . The less calories you eat, the more you lose, just don't go below 1200.

With 3 kids it is so hard to make it to the gym after work.
