Final posting on this topic... over a week after doing this diet and the initial weight I have lost has stayed off and even lost a pound or so more...
-
Thanks!

I did it and lost 6+... I exercise every day and eat a well balanced diet... I just did it to try and get some quick weight off prior to a vacation... so whether it works or not who really knows.

I think you only go into ketosis when carbs are limited... there are plenty of carbs in this diet... you probably feel awful because of the very limited calories. Congrats on the 7 lost. I did the diet last week and I lost a little over 6 and have not gained it back eating between 1400-1700 calories a day. Good luck!

Found out I needed the ANT adaptor.... :(
-
They said it should work with the garmin HRM... which is what I have...

Nobody??

unfortunately, hard to find a doctor who knows something about running in my area...
-
Sitting boxing punches with light weights in hands if possible is what comes to mind, but as others have said, check with your doctor before doing anything.

Yes, I am referring to people with physical limitations which I have and so do many others.. My point is I have seen some pretty mean comments when people question this and I wanted to let them know it is okay to do what they can.

Sorry I did not see the post asking for the recipe... glad someone got it for you... this is a delicious meal for sure!

I don't know about these in particular but in the past I had tried several "diet" pills and none of them worked... waste of money for sure... same old story, eat less, move more, that is the key to weight loss. They never suppressed my appetite, maybe made me jittery from the caffeine, but that was it.

So here are m results: Day 1 of diet: 153 (again, like I said earlier, I had a high sodium/booze filled weekend). Day 2 down to 149. Day 3 147.8, and today 146.8. The real test of the effectiveness or ineffectiveness of this diet will show itself over the next several days. I will continue to report my daily weights for a…

I cannot imagine getting to 90 seconds but I am sure it will come with time... I am just barely hitting 60. Once I can put weight on my hands, I will add in the side planks.. thanks all!

I am the same way, if the least bit hungry at bedtime, I cannot sleep... I have a snack right before bed every night... I usually give it a little time to digest but not more than an hour, usually less

right now just doing the basic on the elbows. I currently have lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow) and I cannot put that much force on my wrist (in a wrist brace). I am aware of the variations as I have done them previously in different workout dvd's but I was just trying to find out how many at a time/set I should be…

I think they are absolutely gross... tried a couple different recipes and could not stomach them... it is a texture thing for me... I will just stick with the whole grain pasta or spaghetti squash if really watching carbs.

I don't necessarily believe in the statement, no eating after 9:00 to lose weight (or 7 or whatever the later time..) It is your totally calories for the day... If you are hungry eat, if not don't. Calorie burning does not go by a clock

anybody??? :flowerforyou:

I bought a scale that has a feature that I can enter the food and it comes up in the database!

I am a tad under 5'5... must be shrinking with age! I am currently abuot 147-149 and my goal is about 138. Add me if you like!

we just got three boxes... going to hold off and having any until after our vacation in less than 2 weeks and then I will practice portion control.... that is, if my husband does not eat them all before then.... got to learn self control without feeling deprived... unless you are in the early stages and cannot have trigger…

I eat a pretty balanced diet all around and don't really change much before a race if at all. Even just for general long runs, I normally have a pasta dinner the night before (with a protein also) and quinoa for breakfast, what I call my breakfast of champions.

If at home, I put my salad in a tupperware with a lid, measure the amount of dressing per serving or less, put lid on container and shake. If at a restaurant, I get my dressing on the side, dip fork in dressing first and then in salad. It is amazing how little you really use. I can do light versions of dressings but the…

I love the vitatop muffins, chocolate mint in particular... I eat it still partially frozen and add either light cool whip or vanilla ice cream. Also a good piece of dark chocolate.... serving size says 4 squares but I just have 1 normally for about 40 calories.

down 4 from yesterday's (day 1) weigh in... I do believe that most if not all of that was water weight from my high sodium/booze filled weekend.
-
actually I meant to say it is harder for me to do on my elbows.... I have done the switch planks though. I am recovering from a bad case of tennis elbow so I think it is better for me to do on my elbows currently as the doctor has me in a wrist splint.

I think if you consistently eat the same things you were eating while tracking but if not you really don't know how much you are taking in. I get sick of tracking too and take a break on occasion but try and eat how I do when tracking... give yourself a break from it for a week, weigh/measure yourself to see if things are…

Is it better to do them on elbows or on hands. It actually seems harder for me to do on my hands...
