Bumping for you. I know there are a lot of MFPers who have done fantastic with this. I see a lot regarding strength & resistance training for loose skin; hopefully some with helpful experience will be able to offer some suggestions. Good luck!

Hi. I think that it is the number on the top-right corner of your goals page, calories burned from normal daily activity. Hopefully this bumps your question so that if I'm wrong someone can correct this.

Thanks for sharing! Stress is a huge factor in motivation for sure. There is also a lot out there on stress-related cortisol levels and possible gain or management correlations.

Awesome post! You can do this!!

It could be water, or maybe a deficiency in something. Low potassium levels caused problems for me last year, & one of my symptoms was feeling drained for 2-3 days at a time. Do you take any one-a-day type vitamins?

Wow, this is a terrific idea! Make her feel better *and* something enjoyable for yourself. "So and so wanted to give me this recipe on fajitas but I told him I'd rather find out what you'd do... " (er, meaning, how she'd suggest making them)

Shannibal in my post link earlier this thread went from 413 to 238 in eight months, and quit smoking AND began his weight loss on the same day. He used walks to help fuel his motivation during withdrawals. Definitely don't start smoking again, but it isn't impossible to do both. Good luck!

"I don't want to always obsess about logging my calories and thinking of food as a numerical value." I would personally recommend logging faithfully. I never thought I would be an actual calorie counter, either. Do it faithfully, against your will, whatever - just log. It will not be such a painful thing after a short…

This is neat. There are lots of zombie lovers and runners on here, so surely the 2 shall meet for many people. Thanks for sharing!

You have to give it more time than this! Your body is dealing with both brand new changes and getting out the old. Many on here report gain before loss; definitely not uncommon, just stay with it. Also, check out these links to motivate you: Does your weight loss seem too slow? Courtesy of MFPer RickMckc:…

Definitely drink your water. Keep in mind that many of the success stories on here describe a painfully slow first and/or second month before the real loss starts happening. Stay positive, for if you keep at this, it is not a matter of if but of when.

I read stories like yours all the time on this site. Trust me, you are in good company here. Just stay on track and browse the forums for similar situations and topics. Keep your motivation and attention tuned inward and keep at it

You have to read this post from Shannibal. So many people on here inspire me every day, but he is one of my biggest inspirations: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/439632-from-413-278

You certainly have a healthy palate with that menu! Thanks for sharing!

This is inspirational! My face shape also changes a lot with weight gain/loss, so I can't wait to have a nice face shape again! You look TERRIFIC!

Some days I'm fine, and some days I have joint pain. I've been reading that yoga might be great for those latter days. Thanks for sharing!

Oh wow! You look incredible! Shine on!!

What a thoughtful post! I hope that many people read this, especially the ones who are still wobbly and unsure, who still have their training wheels on so to speak. Your message of motivation and support reminds them of the 'support' part of that element. Take advantage of your supportive MFP friends when things feel…
