Most of friends are quite heavy drinkers and I was in the past, so I find it difficult to limit drinks when with them. I have been doing the vodka lime soda thing which has been pretty easy, but was recently in vegas where they were a little too generous with the spirits and I wasn't expecting it!

None of my clothes fit properly anymore and I'm sick of feeling constantly uncomfortable
-
I prefer to just scoop my spare tire up into my bra. Keep all that pee, you might need it for something!

Upper body weights? My boyfriend had arthroscopies on both knees and couldn't run, ride or even swim for a couple months. He did weights.

Like the person above said - I've always got way more energy if I do exercise first thing, plus it gives me an energy boost for the rest of the day. Even if it feels weird to be getting up and working out when everyone else is in bed!
-
I usually just keep it to myself, unless they are the close enough type friends who can handle it if you tell them off for saying things like that! I have lost a small amount of weight simce using mfp and more importantly have been getting fit! there is a girl at my uni who is the motherly type and keeps asking me if I'm…

I would totally do this, except I don't think I've ever burnt even 1000 in a workout! So I would have to work out like twice a day, 5 days a week to get there. Hope you find some people to go along with you!

My supermarket always has a bargain bin of chocolate right next to the checkout, tonight I was super tempted to pick up some cheap KitKats but I resisted. I try to remember something I read on here, willpower is a muscle and you have to exercise it!

I love that show! It's so amazing to see how little green stuff there is in either the supersize and superskinny food tubes! And the people who live on caffeine and can't figure out why theyre super tiny. Honestly!
-
Mix up your workout routine maybe, your body gets used to the usual stuff.
-
Well done! What a great reward for your hard work!

I eat whole grain cereal and a lot of Greek yoghurt for breakfast about 7am, keeps my going until lunch at about 12.30. Protein is key!
-
It's 10pm in Australia and the last thing I ate was a Greek yoghurt, and now I'm drinking green tea before I pop off to bed!

Think of it as a starting point, from which you can judge your progress from now on. Don't put too much stock in what the scale says, think about how your clothes fit and how you feel!
-
Once a week, and I do my measurements then too. Sometimes it's super tempting to just jump on the scales and check, but I know it'll either make me go crazy obsessed or crazy upset.

5% which I'm happy about but it's a lot less than some other people's! :(

http://tastykitchen.com/recipes/main-courses/spicy-dr-pepper-shredded-pork/ This one! You'll just have to cook it a bit less, since you're using pork bits. I promise it is delicious and you can get away with using a regular coke and cutting the sugar from the recipe. Have it in tacos and sandwiches...or in salady things,…

I'm a very quiet shy person, and people often think (and are happy to tell me) that I'm stuck up and a *****...because I'm too nervous to talk to them! It makes it even harder to speak up.

How I feel - if I'm eating badly and not exercising I am emotionally all over the place. When I'm exercising regularly and not eating too many treat foods I'm happy and motivated in all areas of my life!
-
Before I got my heart rate monitor, I just used an MFP estimate of m exercise. Turns out they're pretty close.
-
it's like salary: gross salary (calories) is the total amount you are paid (consume!), then your tax (exercise) is subtracted and finally you end up with a net amount!
-
I think you need to eat more. You can't be getting all your nutritional needs from that little food. Have a look around the diet and nutrition section and see how other people eat. I am eating well over 1200 every day and losing.

It is worthwhile going to your doctor - my friend dealt with symptoms like yours for years thinking it was just food intolerances and she didn't want to have to go on a restrictive diet. She actually has gastroparesis, where the stomach takes a long time to digest food and empty itself, and she is on medication for it.

Try low-carb beers, most are around 100 cals a bottle. If I go out I drink vodka, lime & soda - I know it's not super exciting but sugary mixers give me a terrible headache  I steer clear of calorie heavy drinks like cocktails or creamy liqueurs. I will still have white wine on nights with my girls though, and my…

yum! bump for sure!

Definitely if you're getting dumbbells, invest in one of the "sets" - where you have interchangeable weight plates. They are more expensive to start with but more versatile because you don't have to go out and buy new sets all the time when you go up weights, you can just add it on. They don't look as pretty as the little…
-
Yes, exactly right! Eat back your exercise cals up to the point that your net cals are what you need - your BMR. Have you calculated the 1200 from your activity level, or did MFP set this for you when you started? I recommend getting a second opinion - google "BMR calculator" and do it on a couple of different sites, then…

Stand on one foot, lose half your weight right there!

^^^ THIS! We're all entitled to our own opinions, but that doesn't mean everyone else has to entitled to OUR opinions! PS: think OP looks great and obviously works hard at it!
-
She is also a real person! Everyone is going to have different opinions about what they think looks good, and what they personally want their body to look like. Remember what your parents/teachers always used to say: if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all!
