  • I've heard people talk about wasabi peas, I personally think they taste like flaming *kitten*, but others seem to like them. My usual snacks are your typical ones, string cheese, yogurt and almonds. I do like to make a litte mix out of almonds and dried fruits like raisins, cherries and banana slices. I know they are high…
  • If it has caffiene I don't count it, but if you drink de-caf...it's good. In my book anyway.
  • One foot at a time!  Honestly if the scale bothers you, go by other forms of measurement. Get a tape measurer and get your numbers. Do this once a week or once every two weeks. you will see your results in a way that the scale can't always show you. A scale is a cruel thing some times, a huge place of stress…
  • Down 3.2 from 196.0 to 192.8. But my start weight was froma couple weeks ago.
  • For a lunch take a 100 calorie Arnold's roll, put some drained canned albacor tuna on it with a slice of swiss cheese and some romaine lettuce. For a dinner...quinoa with grilled chicken. Grill up some chicken strips and mix with pesto sauce, add to a portion of whole weat pasta. Sprinkle with parmesean cheese and red…
  • It's really what ever you feel comfortable with. I tend to have a small snack at least 30 minutes before I work out, so I know I won't crash half way through. then I'll have something with lean protien afterwards.
  • thanks! The BMF was about $150 through Amazon (it's $240 or so at the BODYMEDIA site) and there is a $8 a month cost to sync it online, i signed up for the one year subscription for it. You also get 3 months of membership for free either way you get it I think. So it has a cost, but to mne it's worth it.
  • I have the Body Media Fit... I LOVE it! They do have an android ap also. I don't have one, so I sync with my computer. It's an amazing tool!! With the BMF you wear it 24 hours a day (except when showering and swimming) it's great! tracks your calorie burned, number of steps, times when you're active and tells you how well…
  • Welcome! I'm right there with you! I'm at 201 (was at 185, at one point, need to get there and beyond again!) i'd be more than willing to buddy up! ~Rachel
  • Ed Harris, of all guys. Somethign about him.... And that little asian guy from Ocean's 11. A little Won ton of fun!
  • Been through that myself, sweetie. i know how it is. But as another poster said, it's not you (and never was), it's his own selfish personality. Congrats on being finalized! Look forward to a bright future without his cheating *kitten* weighing you down!
  • I just got my BodyFit right after Christmas and I love it! I wear it all day except when i shower. I let it charge during that time. I do check in with BMF (BodyMedia Fit) often during the day to see hwo I'm doing. I use their site to track my food, but I still add my calories here under a quick add and my excersize to…
  • The dirst D in each of those is for Darling...or Damn if they are on your *kitten* list at the time... Such as Damn Hubby brought home pizza, AGAIN. Then there is... Darling Hubby rubbed my sore muscles. LOL!
  • Gallstones won't go away on their own, so if you have them, getting your gallbladder out will be the best way to go. I had them after I had my first son and it was horrible. Basically do what you're doing...avoid anything that triggers it. that for me was chocolate, anything fatty, cheesy, fried or greasy. (So anything…
  • You shouldn't have to give it up completely (althogh some will say that the sodium in the lunch meat is making you retain water) BUt you could try getting it without cheese for a week. Or with vinegar or mustard instead of the mayo, see if those calorie reductions are enough to get you losing again. Or...if you're working…
  • CONGRATS! 60 pounds gone! Nice job!
  • If the package says contains 3 servings then divie out the shrimp into 3 equal portions. If it says 5 servings, then go with 5. Just spilt it and you;'ll have your 3 oz.. If it is only in Oz on the package then divide by 3 then divide into that number of portions. (i.e. 15 oz, divide by 3 =5, spilt into 5 portions, each…
  • Everyone here has great points! But you also have to take into account the people who just want tons of replies about themselves...they want the attention, why get the attention of ONE doctor when you can get the attention of a MASS audience?
  • Eating enough lean protien stops the body from breaking down and losing muscle. Exercise builds muscle. Exercise also burns calories, which the body gets from stored fat. Also, as you build muscle, your body burns more calories at rest, thus more fat lost again. hope this helps!
  • My husband and I are are starting in januray, as well! I'll post on my profile my starting weights and measurements. Let's do this!! I just ordered myself the BodyMedia and I'll have it in hand before Xmas. Wanted to get it and be armed with it (no pun intended) before I started the P90X program, so I know my burns! @…
  • I have a few... The Pirate Movie (a 1980s musical! YES,it's actually called The Pirate Movie! too awesome, if you've watched it...I love you. If you haven't...do so! ~if you can find it~) Princess Bride Die Hard With a Vengeance (not stupid, but when you can say the dialogue along with Willis and Sammy J...) Labyrinth…
  • Hahaha! i just imagined people texting each other DURING sex. "UR GR8" "THX" "DNT STP" Or the dreaded "LOL GOTTA GO"
  • Just Dance and Just Dance 2. There's also a Wii Zumba coming out. I like some of the Sports Resort ones and Wii Fit of course, but the Fit needs the balance board to go along with it. Sports resort has some that are semi active, but not as much as the dancing games.
  • Honestly? Maybe a little bit. It is a child's birthday party and going to be done before yours starts, so I wouldn't take it as a personal dig. Sometimes schedules are tight and that was the only date that worked for them. Don't let it get to you and enjoy your party!
  • I have been adding in dried cranberries and cinnamon. Yseterday and today I also put in 4 banana chips and 6 alomnds, both really cut fine for flavor and texture, along witht he cranberries. You can also add in a little bit of sugar free or low calorie syrup or honey. Basically play around and see what you end up loving.…
  • Take some of your favorite dishes you get when you eat out and slim them down and make them at home! Almost anything you can buy, you can make and make it heathier! A fave of mine is taking a 100 calorie sandwich thin, grilling up a 94-6 hamburger patty, put a skrim of mayo with olive oil, a small handful of broccoli slaw…
  • You can log those as "circuit training" or "strength training" under cardio to see your burn.
  • I have and it's very good! Cures a sweet tooth like none other!
  • If you like mixed drinks you can go for vodka and diet squirt. Or rum and diet cola. Drink water in between each of your alcoholic drinks and just add your drink calories in for the day, too. (about 80-100 calories each) Avoid sweet mixed drinks such as Margaritas and daiquiris or anything with a high sugar or cream base.…
