I exactly the same height as you, and at the moment I've decided to aim for 147lb, which is 10 1/2 stone. That seemed achievable and nicely within the BMI range for my height. I'm excited to be on the home straight now, and if I decide to change my goal it will probably only be by a few pounds. However once I get to my…

Choosing to do music A Level. I failed it, had to do retakes, went to University in a different town a year later than planned, and met my now husband as a result :)

I've lost 3 stone in five months just counting calories, drinking plenty of water and trying to make more healthy choices (1200 per day for the first couple of months and then upped to about 1400-1500 a day since then), and exercising about 3 times a week) in five months. You don't need to do anything drastic, just start…

They'd probably identify me as "Laura's Mum" - especially as my daughter seems to know everyone and is very memorable!

Both endomondo and run keeper are great, but neither work with my heart rate monitor, so I paid a couple of pounds for ismoothrun, which I absolutely love and it exports to run keeper and some other apps. ETA: if there's no GPS it uses the accelerometer on the phone, so you can even use it indoors if you like.

The best is yet to come!

Have you tried ebay? http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p3907.m570.l1313&_nkw=Vidalia&_sacat=See-All-Categories No idea how this compares with the price you found for shipping from the US though :)

I'll be watching too! Looking forward to the very eclectic mix of music and performances!

I rarely use the "1serving/portion" foods in the database, as I find it easier and far more accurate to weigh and measure my food. Who knows what someone else on mfp considers a portion/serving anyway? :)

Exactly, that was my thought too!!

Happy Birthday! Hope you have a fantastic day xx

Once you start seeing results from the scales, the measuring tapes, people noticing, clothes getting too big, feeling fitter and healthier and stronger ....that's what motivates me! Also, it's really important not to see it as a diet, but a whole new way of life. Not every day has to be perfect, as long as you're heading…

That's fantastic, what a great feeling. Well done xx

I'm totally happy with my height (5'7"), but I'd love to be 34C again, which was my pre-children size! Not sure it's going to happen, but any less than I have now would be great!

I started 9th January 2012 (Waited until the kids were back at school!) Start weight 211.5lb Weight today 172.5lb Current goal 147lb It's going so well, especially since I upped my calories so I don't eat under my BMR anymore, as mfp started me on 1200 which was too low to sustain for me. I haven't had any plateaux, I've…

There's a difference between eating too much, eating enough and eating too little. You can reduce your calorie intake to a deficit without going too far and being unhealthy in a different way!

Thank you for sharing your story. I agree 100% xx

Add me too if you like - I'm a Christian too, same age, although my children are a bit younger than yours. xx
