This is so me! I lost 4+ stone in the first year of using mfp c. 10 years ago and then put it on again and I've struggled with motivation ever since 😔

Hi! I'm really missing the contact with my friends list on the newsfeed and I haven't used the community forums much since joining mfp years ago. I'm not sure of my future here to be honest

Thanks, glad to know it's not just me!
-
Thank you for this 2essie - good to know :)

I have the same issue - my Fitbit charge HR is working as is the Fitbit app, but yesterday and today no steps shown on mfp - and I have checked that Fitbit is still selected as my source of steps information because the mfp iOS app does seem to reboot itself to no steps counted quite often. And no calorie adjustment shown…

The only thing I don't bother to log is communion wine/bread

Those of you ladies who have the surge - does it look really bulky on your arm? I was hoping to wear mine all the time but they seem really huge!
-
That's good to know - yes I'm planning on getting either the Charge HR or the Surge :)
-
It does tend to be nickel, I've had a problem with watch straps, earrings etc in the past. I have a One, I just really want to have watch-type fitbit! I guess the best thing to do is to order one and see how it goes, I should know after a few days if it's a problem.
-
I'm interested to hear how this works for you both - I want to buy a Charge HR but I'm worried about my wrist reacting to it
-
I'll be very interested to hear how you get on with it with reference to the nickel content. I'm considering buying a Charge HR or Surge, but I'm quite worried I'll have a reaction to it.

I use the same tactics I developed with my mother as a teenager. Nod as if I'm taking it all in, and then do whatever I wanted to do in the first place anyway :) And I eat the whole egg, the yolk has protein in it and it tastes yummy!

Depends on whether you 'carry your weight' in your feet - do they look well padded? I've lost 50+lb and my shoe size didn't go up when I gained the weight or down when I lost it.

Hi, I'm 5'7.5", and started on MFP in January 2012 at 211.5lb. I'm currently about 160lb, most of which I lost in the first eight months or so, and I've been a bit up and down ever since.....my goal is 147 (10 1/2 stone), but I'm also trying to focus on lowing my body fat % too. Finding it hard to be motivated at the…

What's your pick me up tea? - Earl Grey Bedtime tea? - Earl grey Favourite type of tea? - Early Grey Loose leaf? - Earl Grey Spotting a pattern yet? I drink way too many cups of that luscious drink with skimmed milk every day, although I do like chai latte sometimes and will drink other teas when out and no Earl Grey is…

Pretty much all of the words listed so far in this thread, but especially retard/retarded, in ANY context.

In for the roll-over - this is fascinating!
-
This is really interesting - thanks for posting all these :)

Another vote for this one - only available on an iphone, but it's brilliant. Check it out http://www.ismoothrun.com

I tend to keep the Fitbit on, because as you say it's nice to keep track of the steps and stairs on there, and posting the exercise to MFP will cancel out any calorie burn the Fitbit calculates for that time period.

I used to love cashews but I won't even have them in the house now - ten years ago we discovered my son was allergic to them when he had an anaphylactic reaction to one. So - as far as I'm concerned, they ARE evil!

I've set mine at my BMR, which is currently 1450, then eat back most of my exercise/fitbit adjustment calories. I changed the macros to 40/30/30 carbs/fat/protein, but find it hard to get it right most days!

Interesting...... I used to drink the equivalent of a couple of cans of caffeine free diet coke a day, then about a year ago cut it down to maybe one every couple of weeks, if that. Now I only drink diet coke if I eat out somewhere. I had no withdrawal symptoms, no real problems - I don't think it's particularly addictive.…

So - for those of us who live at least an hour away from Tesco and two hours from the nearest Waitrose, we'll just continue to separate them by hand, lol! Incidentally egg whites and egg yolks can be frozen separately, so although you still have to separate them by hand you could freeze them en masse an there doesn't need…

Co-Op used to sell them, but our local one stopped stocking them a few months ago, not sure if that's the same nationally or not.

Jazz apples are great.....although I have to say I'll be checking out honey crisp apples if I can find them locally :)

Exactly, curvy and lean are not opposites

Doesn't happen much in the UK - it's better than "madam" though! More likely to be called "dear" or "bach" here in Wales which is fine - as someone said earlier people are trying to be polite - there are so many worse things to be called!

Is momentarily confused by OP's change of user name and comes to check if it is indeed the same topic.
