Thanks all! I think I will just try to have an hour in the morning and another in the afternoon where I stand rather than sit and see ifthat works for me!
-
Thank you, that is wonderful advice! Unfortunately my personal circumstances limit what I can do after work, so I have to try and create activity where I can IYKWIM...
-
That is a good idea... I am not sure how it would be accepted in my company though (very strict and formal company culture :( )

Thanks for this - i have the same problem with back-pain and am hoping standing up would help with that so what you said gives me hope! I guess the extra calories for me are just and indicator if I would be increasing my activity level :D

Thanks, that is agood advice! I was up for 1 hour just now printing and filing, I think i will try to incorporate at least 3 such hours in my 8-hour workday. I hope this will help a bit. I really would like to get out of Sedentary and into Lightly Active activity level.

2-5lb every month. Drives me crazy!

I can't walk to work, i have to take the train as it is too far :-/ I just really hate sitting all day, I wish I had a more active job :(

Yes, I really want to get one and planned to do so this month but my daughter broke my smartphone so had to replace that instead :( Maybe next month though!

I agree with the above. They have been together 9 years. They have a child together. I am sure if he had "chains in his basement" they would have been noticed already. A mother with 3 children cannot as easily "justr turn and run" and whatever. Advising somebody to leave their partner based on a couple of sentenses on a…

Interesting, I never felt that way about my Razer mouse (Lachesis). It feels delicate yes, but I love that feel. Maybe it is more of a "feminine" mouse or something?

You are soooo beautiful! Well done!

I use a Meluna, not sure how it is with the other brands but I am sure they also have different sizes. It does take some time to learn how to "(fold and) insert them, but so do tampons.
-
Copied from here - http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080615144526AAfrAGK There is no competition, bare in mind that tampons are very bad for vaginal health, preventing normal vaginal cleaning, giving bacteria the perfect place to multiply, absorbing vaginal fluids, and in the case of commercial tampons you have…

Menstrual cups are more hygenic, better for vaginal health, much much much more comfortable than either pads or tampons, and much more ecologically friendly. I only wish I had heard of them earlier.
-
This! Mooncups are a God-send!

You don't need a gym... bodyweight training is awesome! I personally would like to lift heavy but I can't get to a gym right now. I do bodyweight training at home in my living room instead (I don't log it, so you can't see it on your news feed ;) ). I love it!

This thread has gone astray IMO... To answer the OP question - losing muscle is bad for you. To put it in my doctor's words - if you had some more muscle you wouldn't live in constant pain. Muscle (among other things) supports your bone structure... no support for the bone-structure = many health problems and tons of pain.…

We all can live with some more kindness in our lives and nobody needs more putting down, but still there are many bitter people out there. It is sad, that is what it is. :(

Razer! ;) I already replied on your newsfeed but thought I'd mention again :D

Starvation mode doesn't happen over-night. It takes time, but it does happen and it is indeed real. Last time I was on a VLCD (600 cals a day) it took 6 months for starvation mode ot kick in. But it did, and it hit me hard. If this works for you - great. It worked for me too... doesn't work anymore though and now I have to…

Much more comfortable IMO :P There are plenty of choices of comforrtable sports wear, but of course, if one wants to draw male attention thongs and low cut trousers are the way to go. *shrug*

I always gain 2-4 pounds of water weight before and during that dreaded week. So far I have been weighing-in and even logging the 'gain', only to be followed by a big 'loss' the week after... I think from now on I will just not weigh in and wait for a couple of days after it's over, it doesn't make sense to log that…

I did a VLCD in 2007, I was on 600 calories a day. Lost a bunch of weight quickly and felt great the first couple of weeks. Then by day 20 I had no energy, felt weak and dizzy all the time. It was just terrible! I upped my calories and ate about 1200 cals a day for the next 4-5 months. I felt much much better on 1200…
