Well i would say if it jiggles it's safe to say it's not a muscle? I will try to find a picture to illustrate. But I am sure that even with more weight 10 years ago I didnt have these flabby arms. It must be an aging thing...

I am also just under 5'9" and havent been able to get under 158 lb since my late 20s (not for lack of trying). I have always hung around 160 in the past 10 years. Except of pregnancies and post babies. I am curently at 168 (post baby #2) and this time really want to get under 150 but to be honest i very highly doubt my…

I think people notice when you change, not when your body changes. You as a whole I mean. For example if you are still wearing the same old "cover all my bumps" clothes even if they now fit loose few people would notice. However if you change to a tailored look, everybody would notice. Also it depends on when one regains…

Yes, Ive experienced this too. I have not been overweight for too long but when I came back to work after my 1st daughter was born and weighed way more than pre-mommyhood all of a sudden people would behave differently with me. Even people I knew for years. They would (pretend) they dont notice me, they are too busy for…

I have one from today! In the shower if I soap myself with eyes closed I cannot recognise my own body! It feels foreign to me!

I have an 18 m.o. and also lost a lot of weight last year but gained most of it back after that. Now I am battling it again because I promised myself I will not go back to work come December in this shape. I try to use that as motivational deadline. You are most welcomed to add me!

Way to go! You look amazing and so much happier!

Amazing achievement! And thanks for posting your very inspirational story!

I can deffinately see a bug difference! We are our worst critics and I know that I still feel and see myself the dame as when I weighed 20 lbs more. I think our brains need a bit of time to adjust and start seeing us as we are and not as we were! Keep up the good work, you are doing great!

I think these are very wise words! Indeed it is not all or nothing! One bad choice doesnt mean you have to throw the towel altogether. Something I have done more than I care to admit.

Then could you please read the following and comment, seeing that you are really good with science Frassetto LA, Schloetter M, Mietus-Synder M, Morris RC, Jr., Sebastian A: Metabolic and physiologic improvements from consuming a paleolithic, hunter-gatherer type diet. Eur J Clin Nutr 2009. Jönsson T, Granfeldt Y, Ahrén B,…

Are there any 140lb 5'9" ladies who would be willing to share pics? I wonder how 140lb look on a tall frame!

I started at 211lb (January 2012) and am currently at 170 lb with goal weight of 135lb...

I agree that healthy eating is the better choice every time! :) However not all who lose the weight through shake-type of diet re-gain said weight. 4 years ago I lost 17kg through such a diet. I did not gain them back when I started eating 'normally' because I changed my 'normal' to a healthy food intake unlike the way I…

I agree with this. No one method is 100% secure. Combine two and you may have a better chance at remaining in control of your fertility. For those who call the OP irresponsible and claim she is 'producing unwanted children' go back and read through everything she has written. Her hcildren were very much wanted. Also not…

I would love to hear from those who upped their cals back in march when this topic was started. How did it work for you since then?
