Hi! I just started BBG last night. I don't think I'm going to be able to walk come lunch time! It's 12 weeks 'til Christmas so my goal is to have bbg1 done by then. That means no slacking! Feel free to add me :)

I live in the Caribbean and the nearest gym is an hour away

Thanks for sharing, and a huge 'well done' for completing NROLFW! I bought the book but haven't dabbled yet, your story makes me want to though :D I love to see how training makes everyone look and FEEL amazing. I still can't figure out why people are so reluctant to start (including me at one time!). If only they knew.....

I sobbed my heart out reading this. I don't know what I can say that's any different from everyone else above but I think you are the bravest man I've ever met. I cannot tell you how much I hope you will succeed in doing what you're setting out to do. I'm about to send you a friend request, I would be honoured to cheer you…

I saw the title of this post and thought 'Yaaaasss! It's not just me!' lol. I think it's definitely the acid that causes it. After eating anything with balsamic glaze on I wake up the next morning and my tongue feels like I dipped it in boiling water and then attacked it with sandpaper for good measure.

Thanks Sara. Like indunna said, it's common sense but I needed to read this to remind myself that it really is this simple :flowerforyou:

You killed me with 'uterus workout' lmao Yay for fur babies though! I'm 31 (sshhhh, don't tell anyone else) and I have 0 human children :)

Hello! I've done Insanity twice now and put the weight back on after I got married in April (yay for eating all the foods but I'm regretting it now!). I'm doing T25 at the minute, just to change things up, but I'll be back doing Insanity before very long. I'd love to try body beast too! Feel free to add me as a friend :)

Once I felt I 'knew' each workout I found it helped as I knew I only had 1 round left or 1.5 rounds left before the cool down. For that reason I always hate max cardio conditioning! There's no repetition so I'm just clock watching the whole time.
-
Steady state cardio is booorrrriing! That's my opinion anyway. I used to run at the gym for 40 minutes at a time and every one of those minutes was hated. Then I found Insanity. Now *that's* cardio!! And the 40 minute workouts just fly by - all in the comfort of your own home! Not to mention the incredible changes you see…

Currently 143 and looking to get back to 134 or so. At the same time I'm hoping to increase lean mass so I guess that might mean I settle higher than this. At 143 I look 'skinny fat' and I hate it! I'm very envious of ladies of a similar weight with a lower bf%! To be honest I couldn't care less what the scale says as long…

Nope, this has never happened to me, lol. Even when I had dengue fever I wanted to eat. I couldn't, but I wanted to! I guess you have to eat something you love - or drink some calories. Protein shake?

I spend half the year in the Caribbean, and while it's not 40oC it does get up to 33 most days. I do Insanity while I'm there and cardio doesn't get much more brutal that that!! I try to wake up at 5am-5.30am when it's cooler and get my workout in before 7am (I need a coffee first lol). Starting is the hardest part, you…

I don't usually comment too often but that is one astounding transformation! Congratulations, you really are an inspiration :)

I've found logging as 'Aerobics - High Impact' or 'Circuit Training - General' seem to provide reasonable accurate estimates. hth

Looking at the chicken & green beans for dinner.........how did you cook the chicken? No oil? If you really are just eating that dry then maybe try cooking it in a simple sauce. That would add calories/nutrients and wouldn't fill you up much more than the chicken alone. Even just cooking in a little olive oil would add…

Hi guys, I'm just about to start Insanity round 3 :) I guess that from that you've guessed I love it! For people looking for huge losses the first few weeks, please don't be discouraged if your weight doesn't change or only drops a little - especially if you don't have much left to lose. Your muscles hold on to a lot of…

I second what everyone else is saying. On my first round I expected to see a HUGE drop the first week because I was working *so* hard and eating *so* well. It never happened though. Like others have said, your muscles hold onto water whilst they repair themselves and, whilst you will be losing fat, the scale isn't…

I'm on Round 2 week 4 :) Insanity is seriously addictive! It gets better (in the sense that you don't have to lie on the floor for 30 minutes after each workout - yes, that happened to me on a number of occasions!) but it never gets easy. It just makes you feel 10x more amazing and 100x more badass than you've ever felt…

I think the closest in the database is 'circuit training - general' or something like that.

I know this thread is a few months old but I was just about to start a new one about homemade greek yoghurt and thought I'd tack it onto here :) I'm desperately trying to replicate Fage's Total 0% Greek yoghurt. The ingredients list on a Fage Total 0% is pretty much milk & bacterial cultures. 100g yields 57kcal & 10g…

You look great!! Great motivation to keep going :o)

18 push up jacks? Girl, you kicked my *kitten* already and I'm on round 2!!
-
I've been doing Insanity for a while now and thought I'd give HHA a try. It's definitely different. I've been using it as a cool-down after my Insanity workout, lol. It has taught me that I am not a super cool hip-hop dancer (although I still am in my head!).

Dig deeper

Yay! Greek yoghurt is one of my favourite things in the world. I'm upset today because I made (yes, made....I'm that addicted) a load last night but it wasn't cool enough yet for me to bring it to work this morning :(

Here's another UK code if anyone's looking :o) HG22DVMVP

That is epic! Maybe one day I'll squat more than my (ma-hoosive) brother

Tagging for later - thanks guys!
