  • I was in the position to have either a hysterectomy (which is what I thought the doc would recommend for sure) and ended up going with an ablation. It has been nearly 4 yrs now. I didn't have a period at all for nearly 2 years and now I have a very light one. My doc described it as if your uterus were a tooth and had a…
  • Thank you!! I will check it out! I want it for lap swimming that I'll be doing this summer... a new workout for me. I would like to have a more accurate number on all of my burns in general.
  • Jumping on the thread here... anyone know of a waterproof one that can be used during swimming that they would recommend as well?
  • AMAZING!! Congratulations on your journey! I'm proud of you!
  • What type of sweetener is used in it?
  • Packing to prepare to move to our new dream home some of the weekend and probably hiking at the State park if we have a day that isn't all rain! :) Geocaching with the kids ftw! :)
  • I played for a long while but quit due to the end game as well... I'll always still hold Everquest as my alltime favorite MMORPG. I love crafting and questing... but don't have the hours to put into it anymore. I wouldn't let my 10 yr old play unless I was playing alongside of them and in the same guild etc.
  • I would just reduce the resistance and go fo mileage on the elliptical assuming you have the resistance set high.
  • Had my first TRX session yesterday! Let's just say I'm pretty sore and my lateral obliques are screaming at me! It's definitely hitting my weak spots in my core from a previous C section too. The beauty of TRX is that it can be for beginner but can go really advanced as well. :)
  • I know the feeling! Since I've lost 92 lbs I have been hit on several times and it's a bit uncomfortable. I've been married 18+ years and that's a new thing... I'm not sure How I got married either! LOL --- I'm really shy and easily embarassed with stuff like that!
  • Go reward yourself and buy some new clothes!! It will give you an extra boost! :) You have earned it and deserve a few new pieces of clothing!!
  • Drink Lots of water and keep lotion on your skin and it will spring back... unfortunately besides those factors a lot of it is genetics and age! Good luck!!
  • My hubby definitely prefers curvy and on the softer side. He tells me to get to where I'm happy with what I see but to please not lose down where I don't have any curves. I'm 174 right now at 5 ft 5.5 inches.... and have a goal to get down to 145 and see where I feel best. I'm in a size 10 jeans now.... haven't been in a…
  • My rule of thumb is if I have a fever I don't workout... If I'm just congested or have a head cold I tone the cardio down by at least half but still do a workout once a day (instead of my usual twice on some days). Then if I don't bounce back like I normally do after a workout (both in heartrate recovery and energy lvls…
  • Wow I would be hurt and angry too! I personally mentioned to my hubby that I would probably need a tummy tuck and a boob lift after I lose all of my weight. I've since lost 90+lbs in the last year. I don't think I'm going to need the tummy tuck but I have lost 2 cup sizes and things are a bit saggy but I'm wearing a really…
  • Congratulations!!! :) Keep up the great work!
  • I have found the week before my TOM is worse than during my TOM. My heartrate and temperature is much higher the week prior to it and I can't push as hard. I can always tell when TOM is getting close because my normal workouts are more difficult.... as in that last 15 minutes of my 60 minutes of my elliptical workout is…
  • Yes after getting used to my exercise routine! If you aren't sleeping enough though your weightloss will come more slowly. Your body needs that down time while excercising often. Also I added a good multivitamin as well as a B Complex and iron supplement. The B complex and iron made a huge difference in my energy levels!
  • I'm rather unapproachable at the gym... plugged into music and in "the zone" if I'm doing cardio and for resistance training I kind of ignore everyone else and focus on the job at hand. I have had someone hit on me after a workout in the parking lot but then he saw my 6 ft 4 hubby and apologized LOL! :) Not his fault that…
  • Have you tried using the foam roller? It helps break up adhesions and such... it has really helped me with a troublesom quad, and my sciatic nerve pain...
  • Great job! Keep up the great work! :)
  • I steam some veggies and have a cup of those.... then move on to the higher calorie stuff. That way I get the fiber in as well as not overeat on things I shouldn't.
  • Awesome job!! You are very inspiring! I've lost 89 lbs now and within 35 to 40 lbs of my goal. Thanks for giving me the umph to keep plugging away! Amazing before and afters!! :) You are beautiful and look amazing~!
  • I prefer the wicking fabrics.... the Drytech or other designed for working out fabrics aren't as heavy and icky feeling when drenched with sweat! LOL --
  • If my blood sugar is too low I have this problem. I had to up my calories and protein intake to get my dizziness to stop! The protein keeps the blood sugar levels more even. When I don't get my calories in that I should I have dizziness with fast or sudden motion. You may have to play with your diet to figure out what…
  • I see a huge difference!! Keep it up!! It only gets better from here on out! I started out at a size 24W just over a year ago and now I'm in a size 12. Each size down from size 14 you will notice an even bigger jump in "seeing the difference". Keep your chin up!! You can do this! Get those jeans back out and put them on!!…
  • Congratulations!! :) I just dug out my before pictures from 87 lbs ago.... wow! It's nearly shocking putting those pics side by side. You are doing amazing!! You can get to that 130! :) I can't wait to see that post too!
  • Hi!! Start small with small goals! Like Drinking water, increasing movement and activity each day. Soon by adding little small things they all add up to big losses! I was starting out just over a year ago with 100+lbs to lose. I have lost 87 of those lbs and have about 35 to go! If I can do it... (consumate couch potato…
  • It has taken me a year to lose 87 lbs.... I have about 35 more to go. It seems like the closer you get to goal it slows down more. Hang in there! Slow and steady wins this race!
  • I try to burn a minimum of 450 calories per workout. That being said. I started out just over a year ago on the elliptical and could barely do 10 minutes... Do the elliptical first and then add treadmill to finish out your 45 minutes (or whatever your tme that you're shooting for... ) Then every couple of workouts up the…
