Sick & Working Out

I am doing 30S with Jillian Michaels. Obviously I need to do it everyday. I woke up with a fever and an extremely sore throat and everything else that comes along with being sick. I don't want to skip a day, but I am just curious- should I take a break? The rest of my body feels okay- it seems like it is a head cold.

if you think you may have the flu then def dont work out as you can give yourself heart failure, but other than that i think you need to think whether you feel up to it. you dont want to wear yourself out by working out when taking one days rest would have made you feel a lot better x0

My rule of thumb is if I have a fever I don't workout... If I'm just congested or have a head cold I tone the cardio down by at least half but still do a workout once a day (instead of my usual twice on some days).
Then if I don't bounce back like I normally do after a workout (both in heartrate recovery and energy lvls afterward) I take at least the next day off completely.
Listen to your body... don't use your energy stores when you have a fever! Rest and get better!0 -
Should I at least try it and see how I feel?
P.S. The best thing about this head cold is the fact I CAN'T TASTE ANYTHING .0
