Super dislike. Right on, ladies, for sticking up for the average woman. I'm one too. I can lose weight to be stick thin and it won't change the fact that having 3 babies changed my body, internally and externally. I won't go into details tho. It's not bad, otherwise we wouldn't keep adding to the human race, right? But I…

lmao Mostly sweating like a stuck pig, and peeing like a race horse. Where pregnancy is beautiful, birth and postpartum is really gross.

Wow! Thanks for all the support everybody! I am exercising. I don't always log all of my activities. I swim once a week, I walk 5 times a week, not to mention the fact that I never sit being a SAHM to two very active kids under 4. Like I mentioned before, I was unconcerned about all of this during my previous pregnancies,…

I never thought about water retention! I know that it certainly happens since all the water comes out the week after giving birth in all kinds of neat and disgusting ways. I was afraid that my body was doing something weird with fat retention, or slowing of metabolism despite eating properly in order to provide for the…

It's possible you eat more than you think. Do you accurately measure u every single little thing? Do you add in calories from cooking oils, etc? Those numbers can add up, and when you are thinking you are eating a suggested serving, you could be eating much more than that. Invest in measuring cups, spoons, and a food…

LOL You need a new mattress!! I love my memory foam topper. I've slept on a full memory foam mattress before and I felt like I was sinking all night. But the topper is just enough to feel the soft, but not enough that I'm being swallowed by synthetic material.

Thanks for the advice guys. You are probably right...there's not sense in depriving if I feel true hunger, right? It's not like caving to a bag of Doritos. LOL I should start eating more often. Its probably why I felt dizzy. Come to think of it, 2200 is a MFP guesstimate. I may burn more than that at maintenance. I never…

I've been around MFP for over a year. Lost 55 lbs, then got surprise pregnant. I'm due in August. Add me too, any of you! I'm needing a different kind of support these days. LOL

Nothing to do with anything...I just found out that.... Dogs and cats LOVE canned pumpkin and canned sweet potatoes. SO WEIRD.

Thanks guys. I tend to be a thread-killah so I only checked back to confirm that. LOL I have nothing against epidurals for other people. I just wanted to share my experience. I told hubby that if we ever got pregnant again I'm going to spring for a doula. Cause he's pretty useless, and I'll need someone to keep me strong.…

Muahahaha! I liked the first book, kinda. Didn't much like the second book, but I was already knee-deep. HATED the third book. It was like taking medicine. But I had to finish, because it's foolish to have a opinion on something without all the facts. My FAVOURITE part of the above link is the word count at the end. How…

Oooh. I had an epidural with my first and it was great. It helped speed up birth and I felt like a rock star. The second child and the epidural was terrible. It didn't work the first attempt to put it in and I had natural labour most of the day. Once I complained about the catheter being uncomfortable did someone believe…

Me too!! Lately I've been drinking very watered down juice in order to mask the taste of the chemicals in the water. I'm glad to read this cause I thought I was going crazy!

I lost some friends, and then subsequently made new friends who had more in common with me (read: babies). I am extremely lucky that one of my friends, who is childless and will remain that way, actually became closer with me during my first pregnancy. She was even in the room for the delivery of my second since she had…

I am currently 9 weeks and I have lost 1 lbs from food aversions and MS. My Dr is not concerned, but I am healthy BMI. I saw a show once called "Pregnant and...Obese" about a woman who was obese (not saying that you are) and she ate healthily her entire pregnancy, cutting out fast food and her trigger foods. She lost…

My nickname plus Ztar is the name for the evil star in the Mario Party games.

Maybe the direct quote from her blog can put into more context. "So how can eating only one company’s products impact me, anybody? Well Mr. McDonald’s already proved that question years ago with his documentary and Mr. Subway did his take on the loosing weight portion of the food challenges too. But when I watched those…

Easy. Use the speed entry if that's what's more appropriate. Usually pushing a stroller is more leisurely. Most people don't speed walk their kids. Except me. I speed walk my kids. But I have a HRM.

If you consistently do what you say you do I would lean towards moderately active also. But depending of what you are trying to calculate, lightly active is safer.

Yeah. Cause I'm also supposed to hate my... Ahem... Hip Dip? What kid of madness is this?!!?! Who ever heard of this? Then I was told I need to work on my... Ahem... Saddle Bags? What am I? A HORSE? This whole thing is maddening. I found this pic online. Cant' read it worth crap, but the X-Ray says it all about genetic…

$1 breakfast at Ikea. Super-filling, right on budget.

I say it counts. If I have flavoured water, I count it. But when I started here a year ago I was using half pack of Nestea sweeteners or MIO in my water bottle. Loved it. Then I was drinking Splenda in my coffee. After about 3 months I started feeling really sick from all the artificial sweeteners. I quit, about 4 days…

Drink it. I have never stopped, even when pregnant. I just cut down. Coffee is the nectar from the Gods. It is the best legal stimulant known to man. I chose to vacation in Jamaica for a second time JUST to get more Blue Mountain coffee. Coffee, coffee, COFFEE!

I know what's in my food. I was forced to eat dairy-free and gluten-free for 4 years of my life. Not only do I know how to read labels, but I know how to access sites that tell me the hidden ingredients as well. I gained 20 lbs eating GF, DF and mostly organic. I wasted a lot of money eating organic. In the end it doesn't…
-
Huh? But, OP says I gotta eat organic foods? Don't I have to do what she says because she's ranting about other people on a public forum, shaming them into feeling bad for eating McDonald's? I just want to be as great and healthy as OP and throw up every time I eat something unhealthy. That way I will never eat at Arby's…
-
orly? This post is making me irrationally upset. Are you saying fast food makes people fat? Calories In = Calories Out. Any rookie knows that. Maybe what OP is saying is fresh organic food is much better than fast food. Must be nice to be able to afford such food. Let me go drop $10 on this healthy lettuce. I'll make sure…

I think it depends on serving size and/or the maker of the milk. Whole milk has more fat (4%) and more cholesterol. Less sugars. This is comparing the labels on my babies whole milk vs. my 2%. It defiantly has more calories because of the fat content. I guess it depends on what macros are important to you.

I heard people log it as wrestling. LOL
-
For the record, there are people on these forums who think logging shopping as an exercise is fake too. Glass houses and all that.
-
Agreed. My thoughts exactly. For the most part I can't change my gender, skin colour, sexuality, and religion is a whole other topic. But when I was fat, I knew I could change that. I also knew I looked like an idiot when I was goth for a month in high school. Lifestyle choices....
