Been running and walking but not ticking so catching up. This is a combo of running/walking miles, but my goal is to cover 100 running It's been a long time since I have posted. I'll get my ticker working in a sec

I'm in for 100 miles.
-
12/4 1.6 mile Lunch run walk. 6.06 mile run after work. So, 7.66.
-
In for 60 miles in December. 0.0 so far, but I did boot camp last night and it is early in the month. I probably won't log a run until tomorrow, but I will hit 60.

<--Scott Pilgrim from the movie Scott Pilgrim vs. the World based on the comics.

I don't enable them all the time. It depends on the type of run that I am doing and if I am prepping for a race. It's fun every once in a while to add that element.
-
Is this the free Zombie! run! Or the 3.99 Zombies! Run. I have found the paid app to be quite challenging if you enable the zombie chases.
-
Half hour walk at lunch. Working with my desk in standing position for next 2 hours.
-
I'm in. I walk 30 minutes at lunch and have an adjustable desk and I try to stand 4 hours a day. 2 hours before lunch and 2 hours after lunch.
-
Old Topic but I was looking for Zombies! Run playlist ideas. I have Sound of Madness Thiller End of the World as we Know it Feuer Frei Eye of the Tiger (May not last)

Some people just like to heckle and they will find a reason. When I am out running, I get swerved at, yelled at, people try to startle me, people throw stuff out the windows. I guess it brings them joy. I went a few years just hearing about incidents like these, but recently they happen to me at least once a month.

The storyline has become a little tiresome for me in Zombies! Run, but as I said, I am a sucker for achievements so I continue to play it while I run. And when I do enable the zombie chases, it does help motivate me to pick up the pace.
-
You don't have to run a certain speed to play zombies! run. If you enable zombie horde chases there are points where you have to run faster to avoid getting caught (although they don't kill you, you drop some supplies and they become distracted) There is actually an additional Zombies! Run 5k training app that says it is…

I don't typically pay for apps, but I justify this as an "investment" in my fitness. Of course now I am hooked because the zombie hordes make interval training more fun, and there are achievements. I am a sucker for achievements.

Audiobooks are a lifesaver for walking...I haven't tried them running yet, because I have found the zombies! run app. Prior to that though, I found that just being in my own head worked.
-
Why am I just learning of this fitocracy?? Downloading android app now.
-
I think I am 50/50 nerd/geek. Zombies! Run as suggested. http://www.nerdfitness.com/ (I haven't fully explored the website, but I like it so far)

smerkord...Instagram is running, and silly random. Added some of you already.

5k last month for a grand total of 103.6 running miles for September.
-
4 Miles today to make the 100!!!! Thank you all for participating. This forum helped me stick to my plan.
-
6.2 last evening. 96.2 for the month.
-
4 more for 90 total.
-
That's great! For me personally, it is all about running miles but covering 100 miles by any human powered means is awesome.. I have 100 if I count my lunchtime walks, but again, I challenged myself to run 100 and I am very close. Should be within 9 miles after this evening.
-
7 days including today. So if you ran today already....38/6 = 6.3 miles a day for the next 6 days to make 100. Or however you wanted to divide it up. Tough, but not impossible.
-
10 today. 85 total. Thanks everyone for joining in and helping me remain accountable.
-
5.25 = 75.9 total

I have seen most people recommend increasing 100 -200 calories at a time while your body gets used to the increase. Like go to 1520 for a week or two and see how that does and adjust from there. Edit: as far as extra calories: easy to hit with things like nuts and avocado.

6.2 tonight for 70 for the month.
-
6.2 last evening. Total MTD = 64.

If you want to go to a web site where you can calculate TDEE. http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ is a website I have used and seen others on MFP use. If you fill it all out, it will estimate the amount of calories you burn based on age, gender, activity level , weight, etc. You can then manually set your…
