  • You could try using Melatonin. It helps me a lot when I am unable to get to sleep. Its not a sleeping pill, it just helps relax your mind so its not going 90 to nothing! Its natural…not a medication so you can get it OTC.
  • I try to keep a small bowl of trail mix (almonds, craisins, soy nuts, shelled sunflower seeds all unsalted/seasoned) by the bed just in case I get hungry. A hand full of those is much better than a whole sandwich or bowl of cereal or even left over dinner. I also make sure I have a full glass of water by the bed….If you…
  • Lol….I love your such descriptive story of yourself. That’s awesome that you were able to find something you liked AND it was smaller! Keep it up!
  • dont poset the "http" and change IMG to img....I think you dont post the http....lol...cant remember but you should just be able to copy the "img" right from there and just change IMG to lower case
  • Egg drop soup is typicaly just egg, chicken broth and corn starch, sweet and sour chicken is usually pineapple and lemon, cornstarch and maybe soy sauce. Beef and brocc would be soy sauce, brown sugar and cornstarch....its hard to know what they really cook with...this is all stuff we make at home. lettus wraps might be a…
  • I have the 1st Zumba...rented it from blockbuster and you can get a good work out with it..the belt is optional...just hold the remote in your hand...thats what I do because when you rent it online, you dont get the belt int he mail.
  • First goal is to just get to 200 and then from there to lose 10 lbs at a time til I get to 150 lbs to reevaluate. I was 174 then gained 50 lbs with my pregnancy, lost 30 right off the bat then went back up to 216 when I joined MFP. Not sure what my “reward” will be for each goal but when I get to 150 or where ever I feel I…
  • I really dont know becasue I refuse to buy new pants because I have a closet full of pre baby pants but before baby I was 174lbs and wore a 12-14. Now I am 211 4'11" and prob wear a 16. I say that because I can get the 14s on but just not zipped all the way or they are just WAY to tight! The goal is to atleast get to a…
  • Baked chicken strips, Sweet and Sour Chicken (very easy to make pineapple and lemon juice and some corn starch), or chicken stir fry with whatever veggies you like. These are our “go tos” when we are tired of just plain grilled, bake and the more unhealthy recp of slow cooking it in cream of mushroom soup and rice…but oh…
  • Keep an eye out at home depot and lowes. We just got an $800 dryer (mine went out) for $500 because it had a small scratch on the top from shipping....could be fix with a little appliance paint and would even know it.
  • Paying off one of my many student loans and buying the baby his big boy carseat for when he is ready for it....The rest goes in savings for our family vaca later this year.
  • Baby powder works great. Use if all the time when I wear a sports bra. You can get it hypoallerginic or corn starch based also.
  • I just looked up the menu....They have some really good looking chicken sands....you could jsut ask them to hold the mayo or dressing that is on them and they shouldnt be too bad.
  • Not sure what kid of place it is but I would go wtih grilled chicken or even a small steak or pork product as long as its not smothered in butter (most places melt butter over their steaks before bringing them to you) You could always go with whatever veggie you will eat that they have, rice maybe if its not loaded with…
  • Sorry to hear about your dad. I know that is hard. It has been just over a year (1.4.10) when mine passed from a 3 yr battle with cancer. Wish I could say it gets better but it really doesnt. Just hang in there and do what you need to do for yourself and always know that your dad would be proud of you. The one thing my dad…
  • It has taken the place of Facebook and I have my mom inlaw and sister inlaw hooked on it now too. I have 2 boards just for food...one that I am planning on making and the other that I have made.....feel free to check them out...not all the stuff it totaly healthy but hey everybody needs a cheat day and why not have…
  • I would use the timer setting on your cam and take them yourself or get a friend to take them for you(female friend or he might be even more mad) and just post them. Yes I know this could cause probelms but just cut your face out or whatever. He should be proud to show you off and to let you share your story of how you got…
  • If you are way under your cal goals, you could be working out too much and not eating enough. Being too far under will make you not lose weight because you will go into hibernation mode and burn off muscle mass not the fat. Try to make sure you close out your day with healthy eating and staying within about 100-200 of your…
  • Chocolate Soy milk is good for that chocolate fix. Almond milk is good and if you have a health food store near by, you can try goat milk but I have been told its does not taste too good.
  • No your not crazy. The gym my husband and I used to go to, always had atleast 1 person but most of the time 2 people that would stand at their front desk. There would have to be someone there at all times because you have to give them a little keychain card thing to be scanned and they had to buzz the door for you to get…
  • Well that makes me feel better....I started at 216 and goal weight is 150 unti I know what I will look like. You look great.
  • My husband hates....well cant eat shellfish and just doesnt like fish but he tried blackened talapia this week and liked it....might try a light white fish like that and blacken it....he might like it....just cook it about 3 mins each side...the longer you cook fish the "fishier" it will end up tasting.
  • Look up Glutin Free Diet. It can be hard and a little costly but this is prob what you will be put on anyways so might as well get used to it. There are alot of cook books that you can get also that can help and look on Allrecipes for glutin free.
  • It would even be good with thin rice noodles (like the little ones at the chinese rest buffets)
  • If you do the "girly" push up the correct way, you will actually get a good work out. Make sure your butt is down and back is straight and you will feel it. You could always start wtih the girl push ups if you are not that strong yet and when you get to like 30 or 40 with no prob start maybe warming up with girl and then…
  • It was always crap food because my mother grew up eating crap food so that is now she fed me and still feeds my little brother. She is convinced that McDonalds is healthy because it is meat and cheese and he does not eat his fries most of the time and gets juice or milk sometimes. Everything in her house is always…
  • Cumin, curry powder and ginger root go good with stir frys.
  • Cute the chicken into bite size pieces and Julian the veggies (this strips) cook the chicken in a little olive oil, sauté the veggies and make a little brown rice (or whatever rice you have and there you go….you got stir fry!
  • I made Talapia for my husband this week who does not eat anything that comes out of the water! All I did was put some blackening seasoning on it, little bit of olive oil and about 3 mins on each side…he loved it….YAY I get to eat fish now!
  • Im in Portland (just north of Corpus Christi) This area does not know what healthy food is! NO farmers markets, 1 small health food store that takes forever to get to because of traffic! Needless to say, we don’t eat out too much.
