  • Any friend of bacon is a friend of mine... :)
  • I haven't tried Barney Butter- but I could use life altering almond butter! (really, who couldn't) I will get some on my next trip!
  • A daily magnesium capsule helps with constipation- I think Mark suggests this as well. Good luck!
  • I've not heard of this and have been using a good dollop of heavy cream each morning. Since cream is considered a fat in Primal- isn't this sort of the same thing? I find that the cram tames the bitterness of the coffee and also fills me up and gives me energy from the fat. Curious about the butter/coconut blend though...…
  • I crave raisins! But... I'm staying away from fruit to see if it yields some results for me...I 'll let you know!
  • Disclaimer- I'm only 10 days in- however, feeling that mid-day munch call today, I first checked my macros and realized I was super low on fat! SO- i sautéed up some mushrooms in butter and olive oil (with garlic) and now feel much better! I can make it to dinner in a few hours. Maybe look at fat intake and up it?…
  • I. Am. So. Doing. This!
  • I do this almost exactly but I add minced fresh garlic- delish!
  • I've been telling all my MFPeeps about my favorite Buffalo Chicken Quinoa Casserole: 1/4 - 1/2 cup Franks Buffalo Wing sauce or regular hot sauce 3 cooked chicken breasts diced; 3 - 4 cups cooked quinoa; 1 cup shredded mozzerella; 1 diced onion; 3 minced garlic cloves; 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs; 2 eggs Mix it all together…
  • I returned mine- it had a flaw but even when it was working perfectly, I found that it really is just a glorified pedometer. I think if you research your BMR and TDEE (not just here but on there sites) you will have a good idea of your overall calorie output. Additionally, after monitoring my heart rate during workouts, I…
  • a little dijon mustard will help it emulsify and add flavor without many calories! A trick from Ina Garten...
  • My fav go-to SAVORY snack lately is Fage 0% with hidden valley ranch mix and tons of veg for dipping!
  • This! Something about sipping from a straw makes the water disappear- !
  • not sure what "clean" is exactly- but I've been 100% organic, nitrate free, and minimally processed for awhile now. Only just started MFP with an eye toward losing 65 lbs (which goes to show- eating too much "good" stuff can still make you fat). MY one caveat- I usually have coffee with creamer and a luna bar in the AM.…
  • To person asking about using rice instead- (I don't know how to quote..) Maybe- I was specifically looking for quinoa recipes because it seems to be a better grain- it has protein and is fairly low-carb (comparatively) It also sort of sticks together with the egg as a binder- dunno- worth trying!
  • 2 oz. turkey deli slices, 1 tsp. mayo, 1 cup of arugula splashed with balsamic vinegar all on a whole wheat bagel flat- delish!

  • Thanks everyone! I can't wait to see less of us all down the road!!
  • Thanks guys! I feel so popular!
  • Looking for friends too- I'll add you!
  • I have this problem too. It's hard enough getting two boys fed, dressed and packed up for the day much less getting something done for myself! I've been eating a luna bar every morning. At first, (1-2 weeks) I felt a little deprived (since I usually would grab a honking bagel or donut) but now I kind of look forward to it…
  • I can't do the breast - just too dry and tasteless. I go for boneless skinless thighs packaged before me by the butcher. Not much calorie bump and tastes way better to me!
  • 1-2 garlic cloves minced tsp olive oil red wine vinegar to taste balsamic vinegar to taste 1 tsp dijon mustard ( will help emulsify with less oil) salt and pepper
  • I agree that protein is the best option- it fills you up and gives your body the nutrition it needs after a hard workout. I just started boiling shrimp in old bay and eating it chilled with cocktail sauce - 3 oz. (2 tblsp. of sauce) for around 110 calories! it feels decadent! ALSO- try steamed edamame - for more low cal/…
  • I eat a protein bar- "Kind Bar" - just before I work out and it keeps me energized and is an easy grab and go food. At 200 calories it's not a bad morning meal and I find that it keeps me going foe even and hour or two post work-out.
  • ok- i'm in!
  • I recently tried the pina colada- tasted like coconut water with a hint of rum- I'd make that myself next time. Too $ for too little taste. I think I'll invest in top shelf alcohol and mix myself. Cheers!
