  • We're trying to conceive at the moment after getting married in September, sadly I managed to gain a stone after the wedding and honeymoon, I already had an extra couple to spare to begin with! Terrified I'm just going to get bigger and bigger with pregnancy and end up huge. I'm already feeling really uncomfortable in my…
  • meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :) I'm in Newcastle, always looking for buddies to keep me motivated
  • @MummyStumpf I'm trying to stick to between 1200 - 1400 (I'm only 5'2 so 1200 is my sedentary recommendation from MFP) I know his plan advocates about 1500-1800 with lots of exercise (though it's tailored per person) - it's easy to follow the food side of things for free but I don't know how much you're meant to work out…
  • I'd rather be spending my calories on things which keep me fuller for longer though :) eating 5 snickers bars instead of healthy balanced macro meals isn't going to make you feel too good  I eat lots of good fats such as avocado, lean protein and plenty of fruit and veg - very satisfying and still within my calorie…

  • I've started following Joe Wicks and I'm intrigued by the philosophy so far - basically it's all about eating foods which are rich in nutrients combined with good fats to fuel your body. So basically whole foods, whole grains and lean protein. I'm still counting my calories but find I'm getting more out of what I chose to…
  • yeah sugar is a big one for me, I know I really need to cut back. I've stopped drinking cups of tea because I prefer to have sugar in it, have stocked up on peppermint tea instead! I don't plan on doing anything drastic just being more conscious of my food choices and trying to get my bum down to the gym more!
  • yep I started yesterday - hurting!! I don't know why but I thought you had to do it every day for 30 days, I think I'll aim for every other day so I have some recovery time :D
  • I like the juice plus shakes, they keep me full and it's good to know I have a handy tub of something at work that's a set amount of calories if I get stuck without a packed lunch and don't want to rely on our super unhealthy cafeteria food! Sadly they're quite pricey and quite high in sugar which may outweigh all the good…
  • meeeeeeee, hello from Newcastle :D 31 year old 2015 bride to be trying to squeeze into a pretty dress! feel free to add me :)
  • "I always said I'd never date a girl with fat arms" when I was 19...needless to say I'm rather glad I'm no longer with this one, and I was only a size 10-12 at the time but my lack of self confidence at this point in my life unknowingly sent me on the path to weight gain through emotional eating throughout my adult life...
  • sorry I totally missed your reply :D thank you so much, sounds like you're having an awesome time hopping! I've not managed to get the habit of it yet, lots of comedy injuries, but I would like to perfect keeping it up at least!! Will let you know how I get on :)

  • thanks everyone, it's great to know that other people have been in the same boat and yes it can be overwhelming! My other half is the only person where I don't really mind where I look, I see myself through his eyes and it's lovely. I was actually heavier when I first met my other half I was about a stone heavier than now,…

  • I'd love it to be one stone but I think it's going to be more realistically like half a stone given my rate of loss! We shall see :)
  • wow that's really depressed me.....*sigh*
  • I'm starting the 5:2 diet today as well, will have to let us know how you get on! I admit I've been relatively OK so far this morning, I tried to go with the advice of people who had been doing it for a while and said it was easier to curb hunger pangs on fast days by not having breakfast and eating a little later. As a…
