i found buying a reusable water bottle, and i normally get through it 3-5 times most days, just carry it with you and refill it every time you are near a tap, after 2-3 weeks you'll start to crave water... i know that sounds weird but you do. most of the time when people think they are hungry they're actually thirsty and…

my stretching was minimal, i am doing more now and cycling and pilates on my off days, that seems to help too, less repetitive, but i'll try a longer warm up, i was only doing 5mins before a jog
-
took me 4 months to notice that i got faster, but i did!!
-
i take short strides too, maybe a change in form is needed, i'll try it today

ha haa! i wish this was true! i let my boyfriend pay for the first two, but from then on we started taking it in turns, now (three years later...) whoever drives doesn't have to pay! i tend to drive everywhere as I'm not a big drinker anyway, so being on soft drinks it makes me the cheaper date!

AAAAAAAAMAZING!

on Friday, i was visiting my brother in Glasgow, i forgot my watch and my mp3 player so i had no idea how long i was jogging for, but when i got back and looked up the route on googlemaps and I'd run 3.5miles in 35 minutes!! my longest ever distance!
-
ha ha thats ace! i remember the first time i went from a 22 to an 18! i bought myself a denim skirt and wiggled my bum!

I'm doing couch to 5k for the second time, I don't have longer than 30-40 minutes for my work outs, I was very slow the first time plodding along for 30 minutes was a fantastic achievement even if I wasn't making it a full 5k. at the end of week 9. I went back to the beginning and plodded where you're meant to walk (after…

ha ha ace. my end goal by my birthday (2nd sept) is to get up to 6k with no stops
-
yes this one was mainly crisps and cereal bars as i no longer keep chocolate in the house! but yes, it's not the first (and won't be the last!) some days are just so hard, you forget why you're even bothering but it's good to make a note of the good days too!

I think I had around 4000cal binge, no exercise and no motivation! but today is a turn around - 28 minute jog and went 200m further than I did on Monday! ate well and only went 68cals over. one bad day doesn't mean a completely bad week!
-
I restarted couch to 5k several times before I stuck at it, it's a hard first 3 weeks, but at the end of the 4th week you are a million times more motivated and will want to see it through to the end!

one who gets up and goes even if the weather is bad, even if the house is a mess, even if you're feeling low!
-
i'm still running in full cotton sweat pants... very low body confidence but who knows by the summer i might throw caution to the wind and wear my old hockey skorts!
-
yeah on Monday I was unsure of what pace I could manage for 28 minutes as it was snowing and high wind, but by the final 5 minutes I stepped it up and realised I could have pushed more. so today, less snow and less wind I knew I could push myself that little bit harder from the start, and I made it to the end but it was…

Smashed it! just shy of 4.6k in 28 minutes! though I'm going to ease up again on Friday, it was a hard slog at that pace!
-
4 months ago I couldn't even run for the bus! but on my late grandmothers 80th birthday I realised she would be so cross at me for using her death as an excuse to let myself get big and unfit! so I started a couch to 5k plan and it was tiring but at the end of 9 weeks I could plod along for 30 minutes! I was moving slowly…

No victories at all today! a bad day all round! Anyone else lacking in motivation at the moment? I've only got 11 weeks left until all my exams are done!! forever!! I don't know if it's the stress of revision, or the awareness that all my door are open and what step do I take next??

NSV Monday - choosing 1/2 tin of grapefruit over an iced gingerbread man for my 3pm snack!
-
I find that really hard! once something is in my house and I know I can't or shouldn't have it (or at least not all of it!) and it's the only thing I want! I'm very lucky I'm the only one who shops and most of the time now, even when I'm shopping hungry I check first and put it back and think of my waistline! NSV today I…

i'm stress too! i have an essay deadline 12pm tomorrow and just found ice cream in my freezer that's been there 6 weeks and i'd forgotten about but now it's all i can think of!

not exactly an nsv, but it felt like one! a lady in the check out queue asked me very loudly in front of another customer and the assistant when my baby was due.... what I wanted to do - say something mean and sarcastic in retaliation to feeling fat and frumpy in what I thought was a flattering outfit! but instead I leaned…

NSV of today! - had a 25 min jog before uni, remembered my morning snacks and water but forgot to pack a lunch!! dohh!! driving home past 3 posters for mac Donalds one after another right before the drive through, I was soooooooo close to going in and ordering a chicken mac Mayo and a fudge sundae, but i prevailed and came…

my fisrt NSV - I have had no binges since my minor slip up on Tuesday and stayed on or just under my calorie goal (of 1600) every day since including Saturday! if I can make it to next Tuesday it will be the first time EVER, that I have honestly weighed and logged everything I have eaten for a whole week. my second NSV -…
-
that's what i thought! tomorrow is another day, and today was fantastic! and my 'binges' are a lot less than they used to be, 500 is much better than 2000-3000 like they used to be last year!
-
I've never tried zumba, I feel uncomfortable exercising around people I know, is it best to do zumba at a class or are home DVD's good too? didn't quite achieve my Tuesday goal, but I made it till 10pm till I had a moderate binge of an extra 500cals, that I didn't need or want, but couldn't stop myself from eating! I could…

yesterday while warming up on my usual jogging route that I've been using for the last 4 months, a dog walker, who I don't know but I see often, stopped me to ask how my training was going and to keep it up because she thought whatever I was doing was working and I looked great! so using that as my motivation, want to make…

yesterday after 10 hours at uni (library and classes) instead of eating everything in the house (which I wanted to do!) I made a two egg omelette with a whole orange pepper and 32g of blue cheese, only took 10 mins from putting down my book bag to sliding it onto my plate and it meant that even on a day with no planned…

i also have the problem that anything edible is my favourite food! pizza burgers cheese! gimmie gimmie gimmie! but last week i started the Monday to Friday diet! i don't do well with the calorie limits as all the meals i want to eat would mean i could only have two meals a day! and with a son to run around after, classes…
