  • Todays goal - To eat well and to shop well
  • Garden done and trip to the cinema with the cub pack to see the jungle book complete with minimum snacks. Still on plan but feeling rather peckish before I need to go make dinner in the kitchen.... might have to have a glass of water or some fruit before I accidentally eat something off plan :)
  • Not sure it worked, said not till 3pm when it got really stressful! Yesterday was a good Saturday, ate like a normal weekday, got almost all the jobs done in the house and had a friend over for dinner and a chat but stayed on plan. Extra hungry for breakfast now, but the goal is to act like it is a weekday and keep up the…
  • I drink lots of water, I eat lots of fruit and veg, I cook from scratch but I just can't say no to that extra piece of cake! Today the goal is to say no thank you to any 'goodies' in the office and to have a banana or grapes instead.
  • Day 19 but not had a weigh in for a week, I think I am afraid of the answer. Food has been good today and lots of housework done (with added bounce) Tomorrow I will weigh in and not beat myself up over the answer.
  • Day 16 - Not the best day ever, but not the worst. Keep on trying
  • Today has been the best day so far, everything has been on plan and exercise completed with a smile on my face. Normally by this stage I have quit... but today is day 14 and although I am now back at my re'start weight, still waking up each day to try again. Another day like today would be fantastic.
  • Its been cake city at work this week, who knew that many people could have a birthday in one week? I have a study day today which means being home alone revising all day, been up since 6am and so far so good, normal on plan breakfast and coffee, going to have a pick me up snack of plain yoghurt, banana and maple syrup…
  • My goal today is to have a better day than yesterday. Yesterday I logged nothing, I ate everything and didn't even try to keep track of my snacking. Now I am a firm believer that a blow out everynow and again doesn't hurt... but this is only my day 5 'on plan' after nearly 18 months not on any sort of plan and I have a…
  • Had a good day, with good exercise and lots of healthy choices... but for the last 3 hours all I can think of is chocolate!! What to do when you can't substitute what you're after but are trying so hard to not give in...
  • Anyone big or small can have body issues, but talking to a professional can really help. When I was a student I got 3 free sessions with a counsellor and it made a world of difference, not only on my outlook, but how to deal with negative thoughts when they surface.
  • (1202/1581 ) X 400 = 304.111 pretty spot on
  • When I first started MFP I couldn't tell it was working as even though I was losing weight, I couldn't tell. A good way to know what you are doing is working and where it is working is to keep a track of your measurements and not just neck, waist and hips, your arms and legs as well and you will see that you lose inches…
  • Yes to this :) No food is bad for you unless you are eating too much!
  • I started with a 16 week plan, that happened to coincide with my mum's Birthday weekend. But my plan has worked better than expected and now it's a 13 week plan. I'm only aiming to lose 1lb a week, and for as long as I do I will stick to it, if it stops working I will change the plan. Some people don't need goals and…
  • I'm glad I'm not the only one, yesterday I balanced mine with a whole toblerone! much easier to balance with a flat surface!
  • I am on day 10 of sticking to my calorie limit, however I had a slip up on Friday just gone, so i guess that puts me back to 5 days. However I am pleased that I carried on going after my 700 calorie binge on cashew nuts instead of giving up completely after a binge! Today though has been the best day so far, good food and…
  • My cravings tend to hit at work where I'm not at liberty to brush my teeth or plat my hair like I would at home, but I've been and ex smoker for 4 years and 3 months with no slip ups. so I've started treating junk like the new cigarette, close your eyes breath deep and count backwards from 20, if the craving is still there…
  • Ha ha I don't freak but I do enjoy the process of logging what I eat and will do it for as long as it works for me, I've tried just logging exercise but I ended up putting on weight as I was 'justifying' eating far too much because I'd worked out so well!
  • This is the third time I'm losing the weight, the third time I've hit the 200 mark, and you get to the level when it hits you, all those slip ups and binges and 'one can't hurt' come back and slap you in the face! I've felt both sides, encouragement and lecturing and in general I take both with a smile on my face! The…
  • I did stock up on carrots and celery, and avoided the cheese and pastry options! but the cinnamon and courgette cake was amazing, I had half a slice and went back for the second half! But I ate as little as possible without being rude
  • I'm 24, nearly 25. Three years ago I got down to my goal weight, but I didn't maintain and let things slide, I had bundles of excuses of why I didn't lose weight and 60lbs later I was only 4lbs away from my heaviest ever weight (again). Four weeks in, (third week back on MFP logging everything I eat) I've lost 10 of those…
  • I've been looking for the same this time round, I'm on day 18 log in in a row! Add me if you want, nearly 25 year old single mum trying to lose 40lbs!
  • I'm 5'2 but i don't do fasting... I like using all my calorie limit.
  • I normally come in just under my 1530 calorie goal, but only because I also eat back all exercise calories! 10 days logging everything and i'm down 3lbs! who knew eating well could help you lose weight? i've lost weight this way before, 2010 i was 150lb... three years and 60lbs later i'm trying to get back there again or…
  • I had a water problem... until I realised I had a bigger problem with dental work! When I was pregnant I craved carbonated drinks... but I kept drinking them, when I started to diet I switched to the Low sugar Types and kept them as my 'treats'. I had no idea the damage they were causing to my teeth until a dentist pointed…
  • I'm struggling to fit 'work outs' around my home and work life, this week I've managed 15-20min speed walks during my luch hour, but so far no fitness dvd's once my son is tucked up in bed! It's been too hot to jump around inside and he's too young to be home alone! But i have lost 2lbs this week by weighing everything I…
  • i started my 12 week plan on Monday anyway! what's 4 more days!! don't want to be a ghost again this year so that i'm all covered up!!
  • I have just finished 3 years of university, looking for a job for two months found my dream job and during the first week put on three lbs!! as I'm sat at a desk all day and two hours on a bus! but in the second week I managed to lose two of those lbs and this week I'm aiming to get off two more. I have a nearly 6 year old…
