A pound is a pound and that's one pound you don't have to carry with you wherever you go. Every day you try builds healthy habits that will get you to your long term goals and keep you there. :)

Wow, great info Courtney. My little one is almost 11 months and I did the big change thing with the diet here recently and she's just not as satisfied. I've been wanting to ween down to 2 feedings a day because she is so good with regular food and seems to be consistent with her growth. But she just nurses all night long.…

I've actually adjusted my goals in settings to permit me to eat more protein. I feel better when I eat more protein and less carbs, so I just upped my percentage of protein. Just curious, what did you eat that was so protein rich?

I'm a stay at home mommy of 3 girls (6,3,and 10 months) we also have a big dumb dog that we rescued this summer. I live in AK and it's a lot of work this time of year just keeping the house warm, the driveway plowed and getting everyone to and from wherever we're going with all our hats, coats, gloves, socks, boots,…

I pay an insane amount of money for a gym that's 15 miles away and drive in every day to get a break from my kids. When hubs is working his 2 weeks, it's the only break I get from the kids. It's actually harder when hes is home, but I drag him there too. It's just the routine, and with paying as much as we do, we can't…

Woo hooo! I'm down 6 lbs since I started. Yay! 4 lbs to go to meet my January goal. I like to break it up so It's not so overwhelming. My goal is 10lbs a month so I can be down 80 lbs by August 10th. That's my 10 year wedding anniversary and that will be the weight I was when I got married. Plus, my wedding ring should fit…

I've run into the same thing at 5'10". Some people at 5'10 can weigh 140 and look "ideal" but I think it's more about the body fat % and how you carry it that determines what weight is right for you. I've actually weighed 140 at my height before, but I wasn't healthy. I think my body fat was closer to 9% and I was working…

Wow! Congrats ladies!!! It looks like you are already seeing some good numbers this year. I know drastic lifestyle changes are a big kick in the pants, but it is so worth it. Just think of how great it's gonna be when the pants are smaller and the kick isn't so painful.

I totally get what you mean about everything being centered around food. Holidays, weekends, any kind of fun recreation... you name it. I've been trying to find good substitute and all I can do is find a few activities that don't include food, or plan ahead and pick places or food items that are on plan. Maybe I'm naieve,…

I would have to say that every diet I've ever tried worked. I lost weight. Even with weight watchers, I lost 40 lbs. Some diets I lost more than others, but the truth is that NONE of them were lifestyles I could live with or afford long term, So they all FAIL at keeping the weight off. I've decided that I need to get real…

Awesome progress ladies! I'm so glad to read your success and not be doing this alone. Looks like we got some good goals in here and we are well on our way. Every pound lost is a victory! Thanks for joining me here. Today I had a body analysis report done to see my body composition and recommended calories,…

Stephanie, in answer to your question... YES! The monthly cycle is hell on progress... at least it looks that way on the scale. Try drinking lots of water and watching your sodium. I'm betting you are just retaining a bunch of water before aunt flo. It sucks! I'm sorry, but be comforted in that if you are watching your…

Good for you cuteness! I'm a bit jealous that you get to go skiing. We've got all this great snow, but no practical way to ski it. I'm thinking about dragging the hubs and littles up the mountain behind the house and giving some lessons. :) You will burn a LOT while up on the slopes, but plan for your eating when you are…

My oldest is getting a crazy sweet tooth that is insatiable. It really scares me for her because I see the struggles and heartache ahead of her if she is allowed to eat the way she wants to. I'm not doing anything extreme, but it is a lifestyle change. I'm getting real about my food and the food I feed my kids. It's gonna…

Great tips! I was suspicious of the fake sugars before, but now it's out! I want a healthy lifestyle, not a substituted lifestyle. :) Some quick tips I've learned over the years: *Eat a real portion of lean protein first, follow it with veggies and then eat the carb. *Choose high nutritional carbs and balance them with…

I so understand the aches and pains of change. It helps me to think of my goal... not the number of pounds or the size of jeans, but the feeling of being fit and not hurting when I do the things I want to enjoy. As for the hunger issue. PROTEIN! Make sure that you get enough protein in your snacks and meals. Mozzerella…

Hi Ladies! This looks like the perfect group for this fat mama to get a little help and encouragement. My name is Sierra (32) and I have 3 gorgeous little girsl (6,3 and 10 months). I live in Wasilla, AK and recently joined a gym with kid-care and MFP so I don't have any excuses. This is it! Pregnancy was hell on my body…

Hi Folks! This looks like a good place for support, and I deffinitly have more than 100 lbs to lose... 112 lbs to be exact. As it can be really overwhelming to think of losing tripple digits, I figured I could use a little support. I'm a stay at home mommy of 3 beautiful girls (ages 6, 3, and 10 months) and live in Alaska.…
