If you are anything like me, it's all in your head. It's not about them, it's but about me. I feel embarrassed about my fitness level as it's brought into sharp contrast with theirs. I got over it. Everyone has to start somewhere, and I actually admire the people who are in far worse shape than I but still get in there…

It depends on if you know how to get an effective workout and are dedicated enough to continue working out without seeing results. I was doing real workouts 5 days a week for 3 months straight and lost 5 lbs, and 2 inches... wich I gained back in a 2-week vacation. I did get stronger, but nothing impressive. I was also…

I like to cook my popcorn in it and will use it for moisturizing lotion on my body (not face) and even used it as a sunblock for my kids. It worked for my purposes, but I live in AK. I wouldn't reccommend it for hard sun climates though and certainly wouldn't go nuts with it in my diet. Moderation my friend. Moderation.

There are no stupid questions here. If you go to reports and click the fitness dot, it will pop up a window where you can select net calories and a window for time (7days, 30 days, 90 days) Click 30 and it will give you a chart. You may have to use a computer to do this as the phone apps limit accessibility. You…

I was worried for a bit and realized that what will be will be. There are only so many things that are within my control. I try to do what I can, ask for help when I need it, and DON'T BORROW TROUBLE. One day, when you are ready, it is a whole new world of depth and love and fear and excitement... and more worries than you…

Down another 2 lbs! YAY! I was hoping for 3 to meet my goal, but it's healthy loss and still counts for good!

2 more pounds down!

Great work ladies! Good losses and good progress here. I'm down another 2 this week. Woot!

It's not worth giving up. It's SOOOO not worth giving up! I know! I'm losing 100 lbs AGAIN for the 3rd time. I'm an emotional eater too am really working on finding better coping mechanisms. Talking to a friend, or MFP peops, exercise, crafts or hobbies that involve hands ect. are all good outlets. Forget the cookies.…

Nope. Change is hard, and there isn't anything out there that even comes close to the real deal. I suggest using what you love in moderation. You can work a tortilla into your daily calories, carbs and fats once in a while. I use lettuce, or just omit the tortilla in my meal if I can't fit it in. Also, I've used 1/2 a…

It's not just a calories in - calories out equation. Especially for women, there can be a lot of other factors. Did you take measurements? How are your clothes fitting? How do you feel energy wise? Can you do more exercises more easily? Those are better indicators than pounds on a scale. It is possible that you are putting…

It's hard to say, but 9 times out of 10 it's too few calories or the wrong kind of calories. Gotta fuel the fire, babe. If you go to settings under the food tab and make your diary public, we can really see what's going on and offer more specific help. If it's what we all think it is, you will find it's not as hard as you…

Incline adds resistance and your heartrate is in the right range to burn 300 cals in 30 of walking the incline. I say it's pretty close if not right on.

I find if I'm not getting my protein and fiber, I'm starving. The good news is that fiber comes in veggie form and cheap as far as calories go and protein is one area I don't feel guilty going over on. I haven't been hungry since I started and I'm not taking any appetite supressents. Cravings are another story. I get an…

Welcome skinny b- Sounds like you've got the right idea. Great loss so far. Keep up the good work. And, just between us, a glass of wine can be worked nicely into a healthy lifestyle. Even if it counts more for mental health.

Yup. And it's bad. I'm going to try and be perfect the next couple of days and see if I can flush some of this out.

I totally hear ya. My hubs is from Vegas, so we try to make it down every year... It always costs us a small fortune in cash and calories. Just mark it down as a vacation, an "exception" from your regular lifestyle and get back to your healthy patterns. You can do it! Oh, and remember that a LOT of any weight gain, is…

Becca, I'll use skim milk (or2%) and stevia. It's a natural sweetner that doesn't spike your insulin and has 0 calories. What I'm finding though, is that I need less and less of the sweetner as I change my habits. Your coffee may be extra bitter too, try using a few less grounds in your brew or getting a bean that isn't as…

How's everyone doing? I broke down and weighed myself mid-week and it wasn't pretty. Not sure what the deal is. Here's hoping that my crazy hormones are to blame. They haven't "normalized" since DD3 was born almost a year ago. I was expecting TOM to visit last Thurs, but nope. Even took a pregnancy test to keep from…

I think it's true in general that you gain weight when you are married. But I don't think it's for the same reason. I gained, but it wasn't because I was secure in my relationship. Marriage is stressfull and it takes a lot of adjustment to accommodate another person in your lifestyle and make it healthy. If your partner…

Check out the 100lbs in 2012 group. It's supportive and highly motivational as it's a long road with an ambitious goal of -2lbs a week.

Bed, Change is hard. But please don't get discouraged. Sometimes evaluating your goals is a fantastic idea especially if your body is telling you to. I'm concerned that the 1200 cal goal may have been too low for you to begin with. And I also wonder if maybe the food choices are't filling enough to keep you on track. I…

Alcohol will ruin a lot more than just your diet. If you are truly looking for health and fitness, STOP BINGEING! Alcoholism runs in my family and I have only been able to avoid it by not letting myself overdo it. My rule is NEVER more than 2 drinks in one day (6oz wine, OR 2oz of Liquor in a mixed drink,OR 12oz beer), and…

Are you over on carbs or on sugar specifically? The MFP standard carb allotment is based on percentages of your total calorie allotment and that can be changed by adding exercise, or by adjusting the percentage in "Customize your goals". Some fruits are higher in sugar like bananas, oranges, pineapple ect. I try to limit…

Mocty, I think the biggest reason I was able to lose so much is that I have so much to lose. When looking at percentage, it's about 6%. Not bad, I'm not ashamed of that at all. For an average overweight person, that may translate to 8 or 10 lbs. But I got a loooong way to go. I'll get there the same way as everyone else…

If you are feeding 3 babies. Eat the extra calories for sure! Good for you! :)

I did the math and I can reach my pre-pregnancy weight by my baby's first birthday if I set a goal for 12 lbs. Sooo, 12 it is. I got this!
-
Listen to your body and take ques from kiddo. I've been in the process of weening my 11mo. She only breastfeeds at night and before her nap. I don't add any calories for her, but if I were not able to keep up with the demand, I would. Be sure to drink your water and I hear oatmeal is great for supply. Not sure why. Just be…

I get the crankies every month, but about 1 in 4 months I really get clobbered with cravings and cramps. I know a great deal has to do with the fact that I'm way overweight. I'm working on that, but even at my goal, I got clobbered once in a while. Because we are all built different and suffer different symptoms and…

Wooohooo! I had a fantastic January. I'm thrilled with my 17 lb loss for January, and ready to shoot for 12 in February. It will be my baby's 1st birthday, AND if I make that goal, I will officially be back to my pre-pregnancy weight. :) So that's it! That's what I'm doin.
