That is the beauty of the anonymous "quick calories', I try and track the main types of food, but I use the Food Notes field so I can remember what the meal was rather than try and track each component., I have also just put down Dinner - 1500 calories:-) I you completely blow your days target, once in a blue moon, don't…

Hi Guys, I have only just found the Aussie Groups and this topic. I have added myself and it is good to see how other are losing weight as well, I never know if I am going too slow. Anyway the summary is SW 146.9 - 9 Jan 2012 CW: 132.7 - 7 Apr 2012 14.2kg loss = 9.67%. So far I am satisfied at my rate, but always…

Do it! I missed the Warrior Dash as it was just too soon on my journey. But the Tough Bloke seems just about right. I can lose another 5-10Kg by then and be a leaner, meaner old slow person :-D I will spring for the cans of HTFU. You know you want to.

With my knee's I will never be a runner, but I can do the Cliffy shuffle for 6km. I emailed my trainer last night and set him the challenge of getting me to the point where I don't die doing it :-O. He did the Melbourne Ironman last weekend and my wife is doing the Paris marathon next weekend. As a rugby prop forward, I am…

Any one where I weigh less than last time I weighed in :-D It works for me.

It's not a weakness, it is enjoying life. If you spend every minute and worry about weighing and checking what you eat, life gets old pretty fast. You needs to be confident in yourself so that you can have the odd treat, which is what it is and not a weakness, and know that on the whole you are getting fit and healthy. So…

One thing to change? My attitude, I would love to have the magic wand tap me and give me willpower. With better willpower I could get the body, fitness and work I want. That is all.

Great result, it is good to see people finding alternatives to their natural 'comfortable place'. Well done.

The dry vs cooked weight does not seem to be a big issue in Australia, all the food I buy only has the info for the packed weight. I take the simple approach, I count the calories from the pack going into the pot and then divide by the portion I take out. So if my packet of Penne is 1650 Cals, and I take about 1/4 of that…

Congratulations? Isn't this every guys goal for his sweetheart? Probably due to bigger pectoralis major muscles (I looks the right name up :-)) Anyway, good work.

I am a wife support system for my much better half's one woman consulting business. I keep the annoying parts of the business at bay so she can concentrate on making me, oops, us money :-) Oh and I will do strategic IT consulting if I really have to. But, no, I would not trade this gig, sorry.

I made dinner the other night of wholemeal pasta with lots of mince bolognese sauce, my wife had just done a 35km training run, and needed some protein. While eating, I dropped some sauce down my front, my wife proceeded to laugh at me and said: "You must be losing weight, that hit further down your shirt than usual!"

Great work, it is good when your kids see the changes and comment positively on them.

I don't have a measurement goal at the moment, but long ago I said that I would only have a problem when my gut is bigger than my chest. So when my goal is to get my gut into shadow on a sunny day, (very few of them in Sydney at the moment so I have some time :-)

I was always on the 'tomorrow train' - start exercising tomorrow, eat less tomorrow, go to the gym tomorrow. Then I had a severe gout attack that left me crippled for a week and the tests told the worst, yes gout, yes v.high BP, borderline diabetic, all this combined with a family history of heart troubles was a slap in…

My wife says I am allowed to look for love elsewhere, but I deserve anyone who would have me. Scares me enough to stay the course ROFL.

I just read their profile so see if they have a great personality :-) Apparently I have high standards as I don't have many friends. Either that or I really shouldn't be allowed out. Seriously I find it hard to find friends on here as most of the people are female and it just seems creepy for some fat old guy to be sending…

How old were you when you got married? both 23 Are you still together (if so, for how long)? Still together, 22 years later. So soppy :-)

Great work, I hate those Big Mens signs as well, I can wait to get down to a size where I can easily buy some nice kevlar jeans for riding in. Cheers

Gotta be cycling, the feeling of speed when you push it, walking is just too slow.

I wouldn't worry too much about fluctuations of a few pounds, between changing water retention and body reshaping, you can expect to get variations. My trainer told me he has a client that complained that she had gained 5kg(11lb) since working with him. He asked if she had gone down in any clothes sizes, she had :-) Muscle…
