  • I am up early (am)..so my breakfast is at 6. Then at 9, I have a homemade fruit smoothie. (strawberries, blueberries, vanilla yogurt..that kind of mix). Between 11-noon, I have lunch, which is usually a salad with chicken, or an open faced sandwich, with veggies and fruit. Around 2, another snack. Dinner at 6. Some days,…
  • I don't know if I'm right, but when I do the Shred, yeah..SORE! :) But, I do continue the next day. Mostly because I know that for me, it feels better to keep going then to stop. I'm usually more sore if I rest. But you could do lighter weights or no weights every other day, kind of alternate things up a bit. Hope this…
  • I have had this cross my mind, too. For me, getting rid of them is just extra reason to keep the weight off. I tend to wait a little longer...mostly out of lack of time to go through everything, but when I get rid of something, that's my personal promise to never have to re-buy it again. :) Congrats on your weight loss so…
  • You could play workout bingo! :D Or do running in place, jumping jacks, crunches, those sorts of things with them. It all depends on their age, but I usually take my kiddos (three, also.) outside or do mini workouts inside. They think it's play, I just get a good sweat session in and we're all happy.
  • This might be a bit of work, but SO fun. I did this last year for my family. I called it the Amazing Race, Valentine's Style. :) You make clues for them to go all over town. Some of mine were...the store (to get flowers for me. :D), they had to put a puzzle together and on the back of the completed puzzle was another clue,…

  • I'm on a ' almond and raisin' kick right now. Love that combination. I also really love an apple sliced very thin, on top of a ritz cracker with a little cream cheese and a pinch of cinnamon. Oh my goodness that is delicious! :D
  • I have the Walk away the Pounds dvd's. I agree with you..it's hard to NOT get bored, but..I love these. I've been using them for almost 2 years and haven't gotten bored yet. Switch it up. I think that's key. :D Can't wait to hear what everyone else uses.
  • I agree with the comments so far, and just wanted to add one more. It's taken me 12 years to 'start' taking me time. Just like you, I felt guilty about giving myself time to do anything. But things got put into perspective about 2 years ago when I looked in the mirror and fell apart when I realized that I actually looked…
  • How about this one. It's on my profile..I love it so much. "You can be your own after picture."
  • I like that. And oh so true. :D Thanks for sharing..

  • no problem. I'm always looking for great, yummy, low calorie/fat food, so I couldn't help but pass it along to all you wonderful people. :D what ones do you think you'll be trying? I made the oven baked chicken last night...oh goodness mercy! It was delicious!! :D
  • I just found this and LOVE it. Its from the Biggest Loser Family cookbook, and it keeps me full for a long time. Banana Split. Yes. You read that right. banana split..but modified, of course. Take a banana, cut it length wise. Put some vanilla fat free (or light) yogurt on top. (about 1/3 cup). A small handful of chopped…
  • You can put them on a cookie sheet and put them in the oven at a low temp for a few hours and dry them that way. Yummy!
  • I heard this a long time ago and it has always stuck with me: "You don't have to lose 100 pounds all at once, you just need to lose ONE pound a hundred times." I don't know..for some reason that just made it seem more do-able to me. When I think about how losing one pound at a time compared to 100 pounds at once…
  • you could dry them, too. Good on salad or in a trail mix. Love blueberries. :D
  • That is quite an accomplishment! Very awesome! Congrats to you on this achievement. :D WHOHOOOO to you!

  • That is where I measure...where my sides make the "v" shape inwards. (like the hourglass look.)
  • Walk Walk Walk :D The in home walking DVD's by Leslie Sansone are what I use. Love them, they are perfect for someone who has to work around schedules because you can just pop one in the dvd player when you have the chance. On the flipside..you have to be committed. It's easy to put it off until late at night when you have…

  • Perfect. Thanks everyone. :D
  • Hi everyone.. I am looking to get a pedomiter (spelling?) . to help track walking steps and calories burned. Do any of you use one? Which one do you like? What one do you not like? What do you suggest? Also, do any of you know how many steps you take in a mile? I've looked up a few websites, but they are all different. Not…
